I've been trying to get some work done since this afternoon, and it's been an incredibly frustrating experience. Is anyone else finding it impossible to access a large number of websites?

It seems a massive part of the internet is currently unreachable. After digging around a bit, I found out the root cause is a major outage at a company called Cloudflare.

For those who may not be familiar with them, Cloudflare is a critical piece of infrastructure that powers a huge portion of the internet. Think of them as the security and performance layer for millions of websites. They protect sites from attacks, make them load faster, and keep them online. When Cloudflare goes down, it’s like a major power grid failing everything connected to it goes dark.

The error message most of us are seeing is a "500 Internal Server Error" that directly points to an issue on Cloudflare's network. This confirms the problem isn't with Nairaland, Jumia, or any other individual site, but with the underlying service they all depend on.

This outage is affecting everything, from our own Nairaland here to countless e-commerce platforms, news sites, and even international services. I even read that X (formerly Twitter) was struggling with media uploads because of this same issue.

Honestly, it's quite concerning to see how fragile things are when so much of our digital world relies on a single provider. Today's disruption has likely cost businesses enormous amounts of money and has seriously impacted productivity for so many people, myself included. It really makes you think about the risks of putting all our eggs in one basket.

I'm really frustrated, tired and confused about the whole issue.

The prepaid metre in my apartment is misbehaving seriously. This is a new metre that was bought three years ago when the house was built by the landlord. We are just four occupants. One of the apartments has a room and parlor, while the other Three apartments are just a room self-con each.

We've being recharging the metre since all this while, but last week, I recharged and token was not sent to me. I still recharged again to confirm if it was network issues, but same thing happened. No Token was Received by me. The response I got was our metre is owing. How come?

The kind of Prepaid Metre we have isn't the one you recharge on. There's a device like a calculator/POS terminal that uses battery. That's what we use whenever we want to recharge. The battery part of it isn't even working, we have to plug it to the socket before we can ON it and dial the token to recharge. The challenge is that, if we allow the whole units in the metre to completely run out or get exhausted and the light goes off, we will have to go to our neighbors' houses to plug it and recharge, and we must not go too far from our apartment, if not, it wouldn't work.

How do we resolve this issue because the units there would soon be exhausted completely

Somali scellini is in low demand in the country so it will be challenging to exchange for naira. You can meet those Mallam / Bdc operators they might have a solution to it but note they may charge higher fees due to its low demand.

I’m writing this to warn others and seek help.

Since Monday, I have been unable to access my Termii account after making a payment of 3000 to fund my wallet. Up till now, Termii has not funded my account, and worse still, they have restricted my account, so I can’t even log in anymore.

I have reached out to their support several times, yet there has been no response or reasonable explanation for this delay or restriction. This is very disappointing and unprofessional, especially coming from a service trusted by many for messaging and verification.

If you’re currently using Termii or planning to integrate their service, please be careful. This kind of treatment is unfair. I paid for a service and now I’m locked out without access to my funds or my account.

If anyone here has had a similar experience or knows how to escalate this issue further, please kindly assist.
