A wanted Boko Haram terrorist, Babagana Abubakar aka Alagarno, was, today arrested in Bulabulim Ngarnam, Borno State.

He was found hiding in a room in possession of 2 military Ballistic helmets, a pair of military desert boot, a fragment jacket, a Jersey pull over, military backpack, camouflage design shorts, 2 voters identification cards, National identification card, amulets, camouflage T-shirts and military jungle hat.

He has since been moved out of the area for further interrogation.

A 6-yr-old boy is making good recovery after her stepmom poured a hot water on him, last week, in Numan, Adamawa State.

The suspect had boiled some water and transferred it into a bowl. She them instructed the boy to enter the bowl for a bath. However, the boy touched the water before entering and discovered that it was very hot.

The victim then took to his heels, but before he could make an escape, the lady emptied the bowl on him. When interrogated, the suspect refused to reveal the motivation behind her action.

A Nigerian man has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of 17-year-old Katrina Makunova in Camberwell, UK.

Oluwaseyi Dada, 21, pleaded guilty to manslaughter, yesterday, on the first day of his trial at the Old Bailey. The court heard how Dada and Katrina had been in a relationship that had recently deteriorated.

A series of social media communications between Dada and Katrina were obtained by police from the victim's mobile phone. These posts showed there was a feud between them, with both parties making veiled threats and insulting each other.

On Thursday, 12 July 2018, Katrina had gone to the lobby of a block of flats on Brisbane Street where Dada lived. The pair encountered each other on the ground floor and a struggle began.

During the course of this altercation, both of them fell, but unfortunately Katrina was carrying a knife in her handbag. Katrina fell onto the handbag, causing the knife to pierce the bag and then stab her in the chest.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene at 13:02hrs. Dada was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene and subsequently charged with manslaughter on Friday, 13 July. He will be sentenced on the Tuesday, 29 January.

Some lawless motorists who drove against traffic along the Murtala Muhammed Airport Road, Ikeja, were, on Monday, apprehended by the Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

The governor was shocked at the manner some motorists drove ‘one way’ to beat the traffic along the Air-force Base inward International Airport Road, Ikeja.

He was particularly angry that one of the offenders, an army personnel, who drove a space bus with registration number JJJ 290 AC, choose to blatantly contravene the law.

On sighting the vehicle, Ambode alighted from his car and reprimanded the officer for showing bad example contrary to what the Nigeria Army is known for.

Another offender, who drove a saloon car with registration number LSR 445 ER, also got some schooling from the governor for breaking the law regardless of the dangers involved in driving against traffic.

Ambode immediately ordered for the vehicles to be impounded, while also directing that the offenders be prosecuted in line with the provisions of the Traffic Laws.
