It is simple.. really not as complicated as many make it seem. This is not even up for argument. Animals where created before humans with that curse. So as soon as eve ate the apple. The curse was also placed on humans who God have actually initially created in his image. Animals had the curse first before humans. So there is no way the decree of God on eve would have affected them again. This is my simple understanding of this.
