LADIES DON'T TRY THIS. One day a woman wanted to know how the husband would react if she left without telling him where she had gone. So she decided to write him a letter saying she is tired of him and didn't want to live with him anymore and after writing she put the letter on the table in the bedroom and then hid under the bed... When the husband came back home, saw the letter and read it, he replied on the same paper and then began to sing and dance changing his clothes. He got his phone, dialed someone then said: "Hey babe, am just changing clothes then will join you, as for the other fool it has finally dawned on her that I was fooling around with her and has left. I was wrong..really wrong to have married her, I wish I had known you earlier. See you soon honey!" The husband walked out of the room and left. In tears and very upset, the woman got up from under the bed and decided to go and read what the husband wrote on the letter. When she got the letter, it said: "I COULD see your feet under the bed, I didn't make any phone call.. I am going to buy bread. Stand up, stop your silly games and prepare me a meal... I LOVE U. |

Ebola virus disease(EVD) orEbola hemorrhagic fever(EHF) is the human disease caused by the Ebola virus. Symptoms typically start two days to three weeks after contracting the virus, with a fever, throat and muscle pains, and headaches. Typically nausea, vomiting, and diarrheafollow, along with decreased functioning of the liverand kidneys. At this point, some people begin to have problems with bleeding. [ 1 ] The disease may be acquired upon contact with bloodor bodily fluidsof an infected animal (commonly monkeys or fruit bats). Fruit bats are believed to carry and spread the virus without being affected. Once human infection occurs, the disease may spread between people as well. Male survivors may be able to transmit the disease via semenfor nearly two months. In order to make the diagnoses, typically other diseases with similar symptoms such as malaria, choleraand other viral hemorrhagic feversare first excluded. Blood samples may then be tested for viral antibodies, viral RNA, or the virus itself to confirm the diagnosis. [ 1 ] Prevention includes decreasing the spread of disease from infected monkeys and pigs to humans. This may be done by checking such animals for infection and killing and properly disposing of the bodies if the disease is discovered. Properly cooking meat and wearing protective clothing when handling meat may also be helpful, as is wearing protective clothing and washing handswhen around a person with the disease. Samples of bodily fluids and tissues from people with the disease should be handled with special caution. [ 1 ] There is no specific treatment for the disease; efforts to help persons who are infected include giving either oral rehydration therapyor intravenous fluids. [ 1 ]The disease has high mortality rate: often killing between 50% and 90% of those infected with the virus. [ 1 ] [ 2 ]EVD was first identified in Sudanand the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The disease typically occurs in outbreaks in tropical regions of Sub-Saharan Africa. [ 1 ]Between 1976, when it was first identified, through 2013, fewer than 1,000 people a year have been infected. [ 1 ] [ 3 ]The largest outbreak to date is the ongoing 2014 West Africa Ebola outbreak, which is affecting Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. [ 4 ]As of July 2014 more than 1320 cases have been identified. [ 4 ]Efforts are ongoing to develop a vaccine; however, none exists as of 2014. [ 1 ] Signs and symptoms Manifestation of Ebola begins abruptly with onset of influenza-like stage characterized by general malaise, fever with chills, sore throat, severe headache, weakness, joint pain, muscle pain, chest [ 5 ]and abdominal pain. [ 6 ] Respiratory tractinvolvement is characterized by pharyngitiswith sore throat, cough, dyspnea, and hiccups. The central nervous systemis affected as judged by the development of severe headaches, agitation, confusion, fatigue, seizures, and sometimes coma.[ medical citation needed] Skin manifestations may include the following: maculopapular rash(in about 50% of cases), [ 7 ] petechiae, purpura, ecchymoses, and hematomas(especially around needle injection sites). In general, the development of bleeding symptoms often indicates a worse prognosis. However, contrary to popular belief, bleeding does not lead to hypovolemiaand is not the cause of death(total blood loss is low except during labor). Instead, death occurs due to multiple organ failure(MOF) due to fluid redistribution, low blood pressure, disseminated intravascular coagulation, and focal tissue death. The average time between contracting the infection and the onset of symptoms is 13 days, but can be as long as 25 days. [ 8 ] Bleeding Early symptoms of EVD may be similar to those of malaria, dengue fever, or other tropical fevers; before the disease progresses to the characteristic bleeding phase. [ 6 ]Once this phase begins, internal and subcutaneous bleeding may present itself through reddening of the eyes and bloody vomit. [ 6 ]All people infected show some symptoms of circulatory systeminvolvement, including impaired blood clotting. [ 7 ]Bleeding from puncture sites and mucous membranes(e.g. gastrointestinal tract, nose, vaginaand gums) is reported in 40–50% of cases. [ 9 ]Types of bleeding known to occur with Ebola virus disease include vomiting blood, coughing it upor defecating it. Heavy bleeding is rare and is usually confined to the gastrointestinal tract. [ 7 ] [ 10 ] Causes Main article: Ebolavirus EVD is caused by four of five viruses classified in the genus Ebolavirus, family Filoviridae, order Mononegavirales: Bundibugyo virus(BDBV), Ebola virus(EBOV), Sudan virus(SUDV), Taï Forest virus(TAFV). The fifth virus, Reston virus(RESTV), is not thought to be disease-causing in humans. Transmission It is not entirely clear how Ebola is spread. [ 11 ]EVD is believed to occur after an ebola virus is transmitted to an initial human by contact with an infected animal's bodily fluids. Human-to-human transmission can then occur via direct contact with blood or bodily fluids from an infected person (including embalmingof an infected dead person) or by contact with contaminated medical equipment, particularly needles and syringes. Transmission through oral exposure and through conjunctivaexposure is likely [ 12 ]and has been confirmed in non-human primates. [ 13 ]The potential for widespread EVD epidemicsis considered low due to the high case-fatality rate, the rapidity death of those infected, and the often remote areas where infections occur.[ citation needed]The quick onset of symptoms makes it easy to identify sick individuals and limits a persons ability to spread the disease by traveling. Because bodies of the deceased are still infectious, some doctors had to take measures to properly dispose of dead bodies in a safe manner despite local traditional burial rituals. [ 14 ] Medical workers who do not wear protective clothing, such as gloves and surgical masks, may also contract the disease. [ 15 ]In the past, hospital aquiredtransmission has occurred in African hospitals due to the reuse of needles and lack of universal precautions.[ citation needed]Aerosol transmission has not been observed during natural EVD outbreaks.[ citation needed] Filoviruses are not naturally transmitted by aerosol. They are, however, highly infectious as breathable 0.8–1.2 micrometre droplets in laboratory conditions; [ 16 ]because of this potential route of infection, these viruses have been classified as Category A biological weapons. [ 17 ]Recently the virus has been shown to travel without contact from pigs to primates. [ 18 ]While the method of transmission is not determined it is believed to travel short distance through the air in large droplets that are absorbed through the airways effectively making it an airborne virus. [ 19 ] Bats drop partially eaten fruits and pulp, then land mammals such as gorillas and duikersfeed on these fallen fruits. This chain of events forms a possible indirect means of transmission from the natural host to animal populations, which have led to research towards viral shedding in the saliva of bats. Fruit production, animal behavior, and other factors vary at different times and places that may trigger outbreaks among animal populations. [ 20 ] Reservoir Bushmeatbeing prepared for cooking in Ghana, 2013. Human consumption of equatorial animals in Africa in the form of bushmeat has been linked to the transmission of diseases to people, including Ebola. [ 21 ] Batsare considered the most likely reservoir; plants, arthropods, and birds have also been considered. [ 22 ]Bats were known to reside in the cotton factory in which the index casesfor the 1976 and 1979 outbreaks were employed, and they have also been implicated in Marburg virusinfections in 1975 and 1980. [ 23 ]Of 24 plant species and 19 vertebrate species experimentally inoculated with EBOV, only bats became infected. [ 24 ]The absence of clinical signs in these bats is characteristic of a reservoir species. In a 2002–2003 survey of 1,030 animals including 679 bats from Gabonand the Republic of the Congo, 13 fruit bats were found to contain EBOV RNA fragments. [ 25 ]As of 2005, three types of fruit bats( Hypsignathus monstrosus, Epomops franqueti, and Myonycteris torquata) have been identified as being in contact with EBOV. They are now suspected to represent the EBOV reservoir hosts. [ 26 ] [ 27 ] Between 1976 and 1998, in 30,000 mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and arthropodssampled from outbreak regions, noebolaviruswas detected apart from some genetic traces found in six rodents ( Mus setulosusand Praomys) and one shrew( Sylvisorex ollula) collected from the Central African Republic. [ 23 ] [ 28 ]Traces of EBOV were detected in the carcasses of gorillasand chimpanzees during outbreaks in 2001 and 2003, which later became the source of human infections. However, the high lethality from infection in these species makes them unlikely as a natural reservoir. [ 23 ] Transmission between natural reservoirs and humans are rare, and outbreaks are usually traceable to a single case where an individual has handled the carcass of gorilla, chimpanzee, or duiker. [ 29 ]Fruit bats are also eaten by people in parts of West Africa where they are smoked, grilled or made into a spicy soup. During a robbery in Guangzhou, China, the bank robber shouted to everyone in the bank: "Don't move. The money belongs to the State. Your life belongs to you." Everyone in the bank laid down quietly. This is called "Mind Changing Concept" Changing the conventional way of thinking. When a lady lay on the table provocatively, the robber shouted at her: "Please be civilized! This is a robbery and not a rape!" This is called "Being Professional" Focus only on what you are trained to do! When the bank robbers returned home, the younger robber (MBA-trained) told the older robber (who has only completed Year 6 in primary school): "Big brother, let's count how much we got." The older robber rebutted and said: "You are very stupid. There is so much money it will take us a long time to count. Tonight, the TV news will tell us how much we robbed from the bank!" This is called "Experience." Nowadays, experience is more important than paper qualifications! After the robbers had left, the bank manager told the bank supervisor to call the police quickly. But the supervisor said to him: "Wait! Let us take out $10 million from the bank for ourselves and add it to the $70 million that we have previously embezzled from the bank". This is called "Swimming with the tide." Converting an unfavorable situation to your advantage! The supervisor says: "It will be good if there is a robbery every month. " This is called "Killing Boredom." Personal Happiness is more important than your job. The next day, the TV news reported that $100 million was taken from the bank. The robbers counted and counted and counted, but they could only count $20 million. The robbers were very angry and complained: "We risked our lives and only took $20 million. The bank manager took $80 million with a snap of his fingers. It looks like it is better to be educated than to be a thief!" This is called "Knowledge"...remember peeps, educationis the key... # wezzybm Thanks for reading share this post |
