Good evening all. This actually is not the message for the moment, but it begs to be said. Personally, I feel there wouldn't be any need at all to beg or coax people to vote at whatsoever level of government especially in this part of our world if we've sincerely had good leaders, even if it's just in a particular region. The extent our politicians go to earn the votes of the people show that something is wrong somewhere. When finally the people vote, in hope that there will be a change when the politicians assume the offices, things continue the way they've been or in some cases, even go farther in the negative direction as the politicians unleash their murky agenda. You see why people won't come out to vote the next time? Secondly, I want to emphasise on the pressing and increasing need to pray for our leaders because the few politicians with the betterment of the people in mind most times get in there and they are swayed. It shows truly that the power of influence can't be undermined. As a closure, with an aim to proffering real time solution, I think it's time we start making moves and raising fresh leaders that will change the narrative. Christians, we've for long kept away from politics because of the filthiness & gross corruption inmeshed in it. Will it continue being a dirty game? We just can't sit and complain about the incompetent people contesting. We need to infiltrate the systems and take the change there; not just in politics now but in every sector. I believe the change we so much desire must start from the grassroot level - you & I. It'll will start with being TRUTHFUL at all times & fleeing from anything that “wants to look like evil”. The work actually is enormous but if we do what we know is right, I believe we'll soon be on the path to #GetNigeriaWorkingAgain. |
