I believe the verification of professional certs is usually physical, this is just part of the process. Fingers crossed, everyone who moved to this stage will be invited further, cause they are aware of their technical glitch.
Same here. I am so confused and stressed out. Don’t know what to do again.[/quote] |

PhD applicants just concentrate on your research proposal. In my case that's where all the questions came from. |

Hello there,
Please, does anyone have an idea of the documents to be presented at the interview because they didn't specify or we should just go by what they requested last year? |

Olowozain: Everything in life is not about fortune! Everybody thinks of fortune first (politicians, government officials, and individuals). This thought is exactly what led us to where we are today! What about positive impact, achievement and fulfillment? The guy profile speak well of him, he may have some better strategic skills and knowledge that we all Nigerians may benefit from him! We should be glad that he shows some interest, he deserves some chances to compete with other skillful and talented human capital resource as him, don't let us chastised him please! If you have any opportunities to be committed to doing things right in this country, please let us do it for sake of the next generation! If we are not open in giving all talents in the country some chances to compete and appoint the best amongst them and we continue with the barbaric system of politicising every appointments in the country, how do we find the problem solvers in Nigeria NERC or no NERC, We have already survived and still surviving the bad system, but don't let us continue with the bad system just for the sake of next generations please This is the point, as simple as it sounds. Thank you, man. |

Bigdadson: Why bother yourself on something that is not guaranteed for you? What will you do if at all NERC did not recruit? Will you be waiting for them to recruit your whole life? My brother go out of your way find something better for your life than worrying yourself about something that is not guaranteed. You might make a fortune better if you think than just keep waiting to be a government slave. Be an employer not an employee. I am not bothered at all, just that I hate the fact that they are keeping people in suspense, which is bad. In terms of the Nigerian factor, I didn't even expect to be shortlisted from the start after submitting my application. So they should just let us know our fate, that's all. |

I can't believe that a simple recruitment with the aid of technology is taking NERC four months to complete. What's the point of doing it digitally if they cannot deliver a timely, effective, and efficient outcome? |

As confident as I am, the next thing I am waiting for is an invitation for an interview, not any exam. As for the rest of you waiting for another round of exam and/or test, I wish you the very best. Good luck! |

babangy: I have Degree in Computer Science and also have my Master's degree in computer science but guess what? I work with a private bank as marketer with a salary not up to 60,000 monthly, which is not even constant, sometimes you recieved 40 to 48k in a month. So what are you saying You guys even have the time to pay attention to that guy; somebody has already explained to him how things are and that the reason why experienced hires are needed at NERC is because the open vacancies are only for experienced positions, but he seems not to understand and is calling people greedy just because we want an upgrade and a better life, and that's not nice at all. Take me, for instance. I have a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Business Management with a focus on strategic management working in the agricultural sector, and I came across a position under "Corporate Strategy," and he's expecting me not to go for it with my years of experience. I don't know if he wants fresh graduates to apply for a position that requires a minimum of six years of experience. Comprehension is really a problem! |

Olowozain: This would have been a very nice thing! Unfortunately, public sector vacancies in Nigeria aren't yet doing that! It's a platform like the Nairaland that's helping applicants to understand if vacancies are still open or not. Smiles! When vacancies are advertised, there should be a note on aptitude tests, interviews and APL timelines stated. But many organizations in Nigeria especially public sector are not productive to that extent. I once said that, they mostly do things when they have time to do it! They don't used calenders to keep track of their tasks, they rarely have tasks scheduled plan. Testmi as a proud IT consulting firm for recruitment management purposes doesn't have a feature/just a click on their recruitment workflow platform to inform applicants that they are not moving forward on every stage of the process! May God help us in Nigeria! The process is still on that's why you didn't hear anything, just ignore the rumour mongers and keep calm. |

ozuzukizito: Never say never. NDPHCN recently conducted an interview via zoom. My sis works there. The NDPHCN that does in-person interview even for their interns not to talk about permanent staff. My classmate works there too, and below is their internship recruitment as at May 2022. 'As part our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, NDPHC is introducing a 12-month paid internship programme, which focuses on capacity building and skills development for young Nigerian Engineering graduates between the ages of 18 – 26 years. Eligible candidates who meet the criteria will be invited for an online Aptitude Test. Candidates who pass the online test will thereafter be invited for an In-Person Oral Interview.' |

Olowozain: Some rumours are constructed by the initial spreader in order to deliberately catch fun out of people, some are designed out of the spreader's assumptions and some are generated by the spreader from a source to have been believed to be authentic. Any action carried out by NERC must have effect on some people on this platform and they would testify to the action Many of us know that government officials in Nigeria are not oriented towards working on time line, they rarely have management scheduled on task completion. When dealing with government officials in Nigeria, we have to be extra ordinary patient as we continuing with our normal daily routine. Now that the next stage is no longer with Testmi timeline/schedule, meeting with the the NERC hiring managers and management team for the next show, getting an exact timeline for the show/meeting depends on those people! This is the point: I always try to filter information before putting it out there. I have been working with the government establishment for more than 7 years, and that's how it works. When you try to enlighten people, they will dismiss you as a fool. There is no way NERC will conduct an interview via Zoom. |

nikola: The funny thing is I heard the same thing this morning, from two separate people. One claimed her elder brother attended a zoom interview with NERC, the other knows a family friend that attended the interview online. And you believe that? Hight profile MDAs in Nigeria doesn't do their recruitment that way except in some cases. The interview thing is not just to ask you questions and hear you talk but to look at your appearance and study your mannerism and decide if you are a good fit to the organization and their culture. In most cases, the interview gives them the opportunity to physically verify your documents, how do you think they can do all of these things through zoom interview? Please dead that talk! Let's exercise patience and wait for further communication. |
