The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, Lagos state zonal office had today arrested seven suspected yahoo boys for offences bordering on conspiracy, possession of fraudulent documents and attempts to obtain money under false pretense.

The suspects identified as Abdulsalam Toheeb, Salam Sikiru, Abdusalam Rasaq, Azeez Oladimeji, Eniola Mogaji, Alabi Ridwan and Asoroti Oluwaseun were apprended at the Eleganza Estate and Paradise Estate along Lekki/Ajah area Lagos state following some reports received by the commission about their activities.

Items recovered from the suspected Internet fraudsters at the point of arrest include: two cars (Honda Crosstour and Toyota Camry) seven laptops and six phones.

The suspects will soon be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

An unidentified man from Oluasiri town Nembe, Bayelsa state reportedly shoot his girlfriend to death over cheating allegation and have been apprehended by the Bayelsa state police command.

According to a Facebook user who shared the story, it was gathered that the suspect claimed his girlfriend cheated on him before he decided to kill her.

It was reported that the man pointed a gun at his girlfriend while interrogating her over the alleged affair with a man she was sighted with – when the gun went off on her, destroyed her face and killed her in the process.

The ugly incident which happened around 11pm last night (Sunday) threw the entire Oluasiri town into mourning.

Report has it that the suspect has been handed over to the Nembe unit of men of the Nigerian Police Force for prosecution.

A yet to be identified girl reportedly ran mad early Sunday morning at Ajangbadi area Lagos state after lodging with a man in a hotel.

According to reports, it was gathered that the incident happened after lodging with a man at New Plant hotel till day break and allegedly went mad.

According to a report by some eyewitness, it was gathered that the girl went mad in the hotel but was chased away from the hotel by the hotel officials as she continued her public display inside a gutter while making some senseless statement as it was seen in the recorded video.

The ugly incident left residents and passersby in great shock after gathering at the scene to witness the drama performed by the girl.

A video shared online purportedly shows LASU students harassing a SARS officer who pretended to be a staff of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

A small crowd, allegedly made up of students of Lagos State University at Iba, Ojo, Lagos, can be seen surrounding a car allegedly belonging to a SARS officer who posed as an EFCC staff.

The students can be seen hitting the car and yelling at the person inside.

“F*** SARS,” someone yelled.

“God punish you people,” another said.

The SARS officer quickly drove off before further damage could be done.

A 23 year old Zimbabwean man identified as Eleward Sariwa has being arranged to appear in Zimbabwean court for allegedly setting neighbor’s house on fire for rejecting his sexual advances.

Eleward Saeiwa reportedly broke into Miss Precious Jamu’s house, laid down on her bed naked waiting for her.

According to iHarare who revealed that Sariwa’s action had been without consent of Jamu, she was shocked not only seeing Sariwa in her house but on her bed.

Complaining about Sariwa condition,he insisted that he needed to make love to Jamu. When Jamu said no to his request and threaten to raise alarm for help if Sariwa didn’t leave her house, he left but threaten to come back for her.

On getting back at her, he set Jamu’s house on fire and destroyed some properties reportedly worth $350.

Eleward Sariwais currently facing charges of unlawful entry and malicious damage to property. He has been reminded in the prison custody till 17th April.

The Niger Delta police command on Wednesday arrested a 50-year-old man identified as Malam Sani Yusuf for stabbing his 60-year old neighbor identified as Asabe Zagi, for allegedly making love advances at his granddaughter.

Yusuf speaking with Vanguard at the Niger Delta police command yesterday, he said;

“My neighbour, Zagi, who is a staff of Bosso Council has been running after my grand daughter and luring her with SIM cards and other things in order to have carnal knowledge of her.

“He denied it when I confronted him, but as far as I know, I am sure that my allegations are correct and I stabbed him severally to teach him a lesson

“I didn’t have the intention of killing him, hence the stabbing but I regret what I have done and I plead for forgiveness.”

The Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, Muhammad Abubakar, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect would be arraigned in court soon.

Everline Namukhula, who gave birth to quintuplets in Shisokhe village, Navakholo sub-county Kakamega county Kenya, has died.

The 28 year old mother passed away today, Sunday, April 7, at Moi teaching and referral Hospital Eldoret, after complaining of chest pains last night.

Late Everline, who had four other children, gave birth to three girls and two boys through a Caesarean Section, last month.

The house wife was married to a deaf husband Emmanuel Wanjala, who is a casual labourer in the village.

“I am so happy and grateful to God for having given me these five children at ago. I am now having a total of nine children because I have four others at home with my first born who is 10 years old in class two,” Ms Namukhula had said after delivery.

She had vowed to stop further pregnancies saying she is not able to fend for the growing number of children.

Ms Namukhula said she experienced labour pains and went to Navakholo sub-county hospital where she used to attend antenatal clinic. She had expected to give birth to one child –her fifth.

“In one of the clinic sessions, I was told I was carrying three children. I never expected to deliver five children,” she narrated from her hospital bed at the maternity wing.

She was transferred from Navakholo hospital to the County Referral Hospital after it was discovered that she was carrying more than three children.

Dr Githinji Ndung’u, one of the doctors who assisted her deliver the five children said they received a referral from Navakholo on Tuesday at about 5pm with a woman suspected to be carrying three children.

“On examination, we realized they were more than three and were in the wrong way. We were forced to conduct a caesarian birth at 8pm and we realized that she was carrying five children,” said Dr Githinji.

He confirmed that the children plus their mother were in good health condition. The children are under incubation in the new born unit.

The children weighed between 1.2kgs and 1.6kgs, instead of the 3.5kg which is required of a normal baby at birth.

Ms Namukhula had appealed to well-wishers to help her fend for the children saying her husband was deaf with no stable employment to sustain the family.

“We are financially challenged but God has blessed us with this high number of children. I request the government, leaders and well-wishers come to our aid so that we cater for them.”

Kakamega county health executive Rachael Okumu, who visited the mother in the hospital, promised to enroll the family on a one-year full premium of the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF).

“The mother will also be put under the Oparanya Care maternal health program that sees new mothers take home Sh2,000 after child birth and a similar amount every time they visit the hospital to vaccinate their kids,” said Ms Okumu.

She asked the hospital to attach the mother to the nearest Navakholo sub-county hospital for clinical checks and monitoring of the health of both the mother and the children.

Earlier today, a suspected yahoo boy identified as Nifemi  Opeloyeru was arrested with two fresh barbecued human hands in Ekiti state.

The suspected was arrested at Ijero Ekiti state during a stop and search operation by the Ekiti state police command.

According to him, he got the hands at Oke Imesi, the suspect later added that he was planning on using it for a particular type of ritual called "Oshole" which makes internet fraud easy.

The suspect further revealed that he was planning to do the ritual in collaboration with two of his friends called Alex and Paul.

It was reported today that an Air force officers that took part in the fight against insurgency suffered as setback as the blade of an helicopter killed an air chief marshal known as Umar.

According to an airman who witnessed the sad incident told newsroom that it happened at Bama in Borno state on Saturday evening.

The helicopter was said to be faulty, the deceased who was the co-pilot when to pick his bag and on his way back, he passed through the side of the blade rotating downwards and unfortunately, he meet his death.

The eye witnessed that shared the story;

“Immediately his head was chopped off. The aircraft has been recovered and taken back to the air base. No damage was found the on tail rotor,”

The tragic incident reportedly occurred around 4pm in the evening on Saturday. The deceased family have been informed about the tragic incident while the burial arrangement was on as of the time this report was filed.

A yet to be identified Indian 52 years old man had his joystick partially cut off today after he had an uncontrolled erection for two days then suffered gangrene due to doctor’s error.

The unidentified 52 year old Indian man took himself to the doctors as a result of uncontrolled pain and sustained erection.

The doctors swiftly drained the blood from his erected joystick,but mistakenly forgets the catheter in his joystick and tightly dressed the manhood which later caused the patient to develop black gangrene.

The man later reported back to the hospital with signs of several damaged tissue which was caused by acute loss of blood circulation and the doctors had no choice but to cut off the infected parts of his joystick.

The tragic incident which occurred at King George’s Medical University in Lucknow northern India were published last month in the British Medical journal.

The 52 year old India man have been suffering from priapism which means a persistent and painful erection.

The cause of the patient’s condition is yet to be mention but experts consider an erection which last for more than 2 days, it might be as a result of sexual enhancement drugs.

It was also reported that three weeks after the operation, the man was able to urinate like before and has a healthy joystick.

As suggested by the medical doctor, the cause of catheter and tight dressing put on procedure might be the result of the gangrene in the patient.

The Olubadan of Ibadan started down in his speech that the only way his embattled chiefs can return to his palace is if they remove their illegal crown.

This statement was after the embattled chiefs who crowned themselves Obas accused him of having a hand on some illegal practices and lacking of respect for them as members of the Olubadan in council.

Reacting on the statement signed by one of his media aides, Mr Adeola Oloko,the Oba dismissed the statement credited to the embattled chiefs.

He said;

“There is nowhere in Yorubaland where two kings sit inside a palace ; it is always the king and his chiefs . Apart from violating our customs and tradition , there is no law that backs the wearing of illegal crowns in Ibadanland. ”

Olubadan also added:

“If anybody should be castigated for denigrating our institution , it is the embattled high chiefs with inordinate ambition to become monarchs without domain that should examine themselves . It is those who commit crime against Yoruba customs and tradition and do not repent that deserve to be castigated .

“It is those who run away from the palace and turn round to say they are not being carried along. It is those who flagrantly disobey court orders . Alhaji Remi Lukman has insisted that his son Kolade Johnson was not killed by a stray bullet but by the deliberate act of SARS officers in Lagos on Sunday March 31st.

This goes contrary to media reports which say the young man was killed by a stray bullet while watching an English Premier League match between Liverpool and Tottenham.

According to Lukman, stray bullets couldn’t have penetrated his body twice. He also claimed that his family has video evidence to prove that Kolade Johnson and his friends were aimed at by the policemen who stormed the football viewing center where they were watching a footbal match.

“We have been hearing that it was a stray bullet but I must tell you that a stray but cannot penetrate twice. If he had not directed the gun at them two bullets will not touch him. He was the hope of the family and a gentle boy and as I am talking to you, I have gone beyond this level and I’m just trying to set everything in motion to prove it was not stray bullets at all.” he said;

Describing how the incident happened, the foster father said

“He was just there at that spot catching fun with his friends and watching football match, which of course anybody could have done. It was a response to a lady screaming kidnappers that made them all leave the Kingston Jo eatery to come out to know why the lady was shouting kidnappers.”

He described Kolade as the hope of the family, a gentle boy who was very intelligent.

“You really needed to have known him. He was a very gentle boy. Some of the video clips will carry in summary the kind of person that he was. While the gunshots were fired towards the group the video clip shows that he was walking behind them all. He wasn’t intrusive at all. It was just unfortunate that he happened to be a victim in the group.

All we are asking for is justice and what these people have done to us should be done to them. He was gentle, intelligent, full of future, the family had a bright hope concerning him and it is very unfortunate that someone like him died at a very tender age. He’s a very gentle boy, listened to home training and we trained him well.”

The Chinese man identified as Mr.Leo had being converted from Christianity to Islam earlier today in the Muslin community, Kano state.

It was gathered that last year, a Chinese man was converted to Islam just to wed his young Muslim Nigerian lady in Plateau state Nigeria.

The Chinese man came to Nigeria with his family members for his wedding,accepted Islam and changed his name to Samir.
