BREAKING! Explosion Hits Maritime Border in Bakassi, Five Soldiers Reportedly Killed | #IgbereTV

Explosion have reportedly killed 5 soldiers of the Joint Border Forces of Nigeria and Cameroon near Ikang waterways in Bakassi Peninsula, Igbere TV has learnt.

According to reports, militants suspected to be Black Marine drove with two speed boats exchanging fire with Joint Border Forces when they threw IED on security personnel's at the maritime border checkpoints.
The incidence took place on Thursday morning at 9am.

It was gathered that the militant groups operated from two angles, one boat coming from Akwa Ibom axis engaged Joint Border Forces in a shootout, an hour later the other group coming from Isangele threw IED on Cameroonian Forces attempting to blow a vessel awaiting it's turn to be filled with oil.

Two separatist militants were injured during exchange of gunfire.

Meanwhile, authorities in Cameroon have declared operational coordinator of Biafra Nations League, BnL, Henry Edet wanted, recall that Edet escaped from detention in Bakassi Peninsula after an explosion rocked the Cameroonian Police station few months ago.

Black Marine Responsible for Bomb Attack - BnL confirms

Operational coordinator of Biafra Nations League, BnL, Henry Edet has confirmed that the Friday night bomb attack in Bakassi Peninsula was carried out by the Black Marine , loosing the attacker on the process.
He debunked claims that only seven enemy forces died, adding that upto 15 enemies were executed.

Edet said that the attack was not targeted at civilians commending the Black Marine for professional conduct, he warned that the Marine boys are now more sophisticated and would show no mercy to enemies of Biafra on the Eastern end of the Gulf of Guinea.

He insisted that the Black Marine or the BnL larger body was not dislodged from Bakassi Peninsula as the media reported.

Some gunmen have reportedly ambushed and killed two mobile police officers in Enugu State.

The officers, who were on ‘Operation Restore Peace’ were killed around 7:30 pm on Wednesday evening along the Udi-Ozalla Road.



A security source told SaharaReporters that the police team was on routine patrol.

The source identified the victims as Danjuma Joseph, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and Inspector Abu Elamaje.



According to the source, they were rushed to the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Ituku-Ozalla for treatment after the attack but were confirmed dead by the doctors on duty.



Meanwhile, another officer identified as Inspector Udeme Udomeng, only sustained bullet wounds and was treated and discharged.



However, the police have kept mum as efforts made by SaharaReporters to get the reaction of the Command's spokesperson DSP Daniel Ndukwe were unsuccessful.



Ndukwe did not answer his calls or reply to a text message sent to his mobile line.
