REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Professor - MUTSSS 7
A good honours degree and a PhD in a relevant field from a recognized University with not less than ten (10) years of teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or Institution of comparable status. A strong proof of continuing research with appreciable evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals published locally and internationally, as well as ability to initiate and develop courses at the undergraduate and post graduate levels.
Candidates must also have ability to provide academic leadership coupled with sufficient administrative experience.
Reader - MUTSSS 6
A good honours degree and a PhD in a relevant field with at least eight ( years teaching and research experience in a University or Institution of comparable status. Evidence of substantial scholarly publications in reputable local/international Journals and ability to initiate and develop courses at the undergraduate and post graduate levels. Candidates must also be able to initiate projects, possess some administrative experience as well as experience in working with interdisciplinary groups. Successful applicants must be able to give academic and professional leadership in the field with a strong proof of continuing research.
The successful candidate must have been a Senior Lecturer for at least two (2) years.
Senior Lecturer- MUTSSS 5
A good honours degree and a PhD in the specified field plus at least six (6) years of teaching and research experience in a University or Institution of comparable status. Candidates must have the ability to initiate research work and to supervise post-graduate projects. Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals is also required. Experience in working with interdisciplinary groups will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate must have been a Lecturer I for a minimum two (2) years.
Lecturer I- MUTSSS 4
A candidate for this post should normally possess a good first degree and a Ph.D from a recognized University with at least four (4) years of teaching and research experience in a University or Institution of comparable status. Candidate must also have the ability to teach courses effectively with evidence of practical skills and competence. Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals is also required.
Lecturer II - MUTSSS 3
Candidates should possess a good honours degree and a PhD from a recognized University in the specified field of specialization. Candidates with Masters degree, must have at least three years of teaching and research in a University or an Institution of comparable status and must show evidence not only of registration for a PhD programme but also of having gone far with the programme. Evidence of scholarly publications will be an added advantage.
Assistant Lecturer - MUTSSS 2
A candidate for this post should normally possess a B.Sc. and Masters degree from a recognized University and must have registered for a PhD programme in the respective field.


NB: It should be noted that professional qualifications will be an added advantage for applicants into Accounting and Banking & Finance programmes.

Candidate must possess HND/Science Lab Technology in relevant Technology (Chemistry Option) from a recognized institution with a minimum of Lower credit/ 2nd Class Lower Division plus NYSC certificate or evidence of exemption with a minimum of sixteen (16) years experience.
OR
B.Sc. /B.Tech. in relevant technology with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or evidence of exemption with a minimum of fifteen (15) years post-qualification experience. In addition, the candidate must be duly registered with the relevant Professional Institute.
Technologist I - MUNTSSS 8
HND/B.Tech. in relevant Technology from a recognized Institution with a minimum of Lower Credit/ 2nd Class Lower Division plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption.
Candidate must be duly registered with the relevant Professional Institute and must have at least 3 years post-registration experience.
Technologist II (Chemistry/Biochemistry) - MUNTSSS 7
HND/B.Tech in relevant Technology from a recognized Institution with a minimum of Lower credit/ 2nd Class Lower Division plus NYSC certificate or Evidence of Exemption.

HND in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or relevant discipline with a minimum of Lower Credit from a recognized Institution plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or evidence of Exemption.
A minimum of three years working experience is required for this post. Professional certification and knowledge of computer programming will be an added advantage.
