It doesn’t matter how you send your passport to Accra. VFS Lagos, VFS Accra, or through DHL to their door. They’re all slow because that office is slow. Some ways are just much slower than others

Tbh, Accra direct and Abuja/lagos VFS takes almost the same timeline nowadays. If you aren't in a hurry,just use Lagos and give them 2 months max..use that time to tidy up things

Abuja VFS took 5 weeks for me, received passport on Thursday

If you’re in a hurry, you can send your passport directly through DHL. Still takes about 2/3 weeks in total to get it back.

I think it depends on setting realistic deadlines.
I bought our ticket same day I sent passport to Abuja. The date was 10 weeks away (was wayyyy cheaper,less than 900k for 4 of us). Passport is back, with DHL, to be delivered to me on may 5th. Flight is still in a month's time.

IOM sent me a text that it’s been sent to the embassy

Did medicals at IOM on Monday, it was sent to the embassy by Friday but it hasn’t been updated on my application and my 30 day deadline passes today. Do I need to fill out a web form?

Terrible to hear because it seems so stressful that even for repeat Medicals almost all the dates this month are booked. Even at IOM.

Don't bother, they won't swap it. I found myself in similar situation. They confirmed via email that they do not swap
