I am bjstardom, it seems someone is using my name to do scam transaction, that's how a guy was accusing me of scamming him in one thread which I know nothing about. How can I report this?

pls guys, if anybody contact u to be someone from nairaland. Always tell the person to quote u here first before transacting with him/her. Even the escrow he's bringing along. I seems thats what some people r doing now, using old members username to scam. It happens to me too, i told the person to quote me here on nairaland alongside his escrow and he vanished

All this can be avoided by simply using escrow.
More over anybody being scammed here can be caught easily if only you are willing to spend more money to find them. Carelessness and lack of patience coupled with greed for bigger rates is what has got everybody here that is a victim of such circumstances scammed. I have been scammed too about a year back but I learned my lesson and moved on. No need to share tears if you have been scammed report to the nearest police station and your bank providing your proof and also keep like 150k to follow up on the case and you will catch them. When you catch them they will pay for all your expenses. Concerning what you said above about setting up a panel to catch all these scammers , It will cost money to catch them and most people that have been scammed are not willing to spend more money to catch the scammers, so you can't expect such a panels to spend their own to catch the scammer when the victim is not willing to spend more money to catch the scammer. Moreover such panel is not a charity organization.

this is exactly what I told someone who contacted me for btc sale and I told him I can't send first. If at all am sending first, den the transaction will be $1k upward with the seller providing me a valid id.
