Other Delibrate mistakes; Cutting Onions the size of a donkey's ear cuz no time eh

My ;personal combo(skillZ)when cooking

1- chopping Onions with my eyes closed

2- Adding salt by placing on ny palms then blow it like those nollywood babalawo/Debia

3- throwing the spoon in the air and catching it inside the pot

4- Adding onions into a pot hot oil standing 5Fts away

5- Dancing Opan gangnam style when washing Meat. .

I remember the day I was frying plantain and then after turning each plantain to the other side so it would fry I decided to put the spoon in my mouth so I would taste the saltiness of the plantain in the oil.

In normal settings Cooking seems to be a girly thing while the hardworking activities a boyish thing. But in the cases where the lady aint avialable the guy has to make ends meet to put food on his table and here are mistake guys make while cooking..
**Keep calm and sip a cup of Palmwine **

1.Licking the spoon.
When we cook we also like to know how it taste to know the next step to take therefore in that process of tasting we tend to lick the whole spoon clean .



2.Guessing.
Most times we dont cook accordingly.. We just cook to make it edible to eat..sometimes while frying we fry both vegetable and tomatoes what we know is that we are though with the Vegetable section..



3.Wrong timing.
We dont want to know how long it takes or time too cook it, once we just mix it and the content becomes familar we bring the food down.



4.Distracted Attention
Cooking normally is not our thing so we dont always have this reminder that we have something on the fire, either we are on phone or we are watching football or we are playing game, nothing but the chocking smell from the Kitchen would drag our attention back.
Sometimes we even forget we are cooking.. Guys wo be like

5. Kitchen injuries
Somehow its inevitable for us to have kitchen injuries either we slice our finger with vegetable or the pestle lands on our feet or we use bare hands to carry the hot pot down.



6. Wrong use of ingredient/ Wrong Mixture.
Most times we dont know when and where to put the necessary food stuff, like frying tomato paste before fresh tomatoes, adding water and vegetable before ingredients. We are just waiting for the food to start doing Putu putu putu to carry it down #NoTime



7.Omitting/overusing an ingredient.
Most times in the quest of cooking to taste we end up omitting an ingredient or over adding it which at end would leave us with salt by the side of the plate or Jug of water to complete the Meal.



8. Leaving the Stainless/Metal spoon in Pot while waiting.
This one of the top mistakes guys make forgeting the spoon is also a conductor of Heat therefore helps in making the hand which is to be used for eating Usless by cauing Heat burns on the Palm in the process of turning the Food.



9. Coming up with their own Rules.
Miraculously when we cook and we get what we want we hereby declear it as the best way and adding other Facts to it such as..
-If the food doesnt taste good Add more pepper so no one would complain on the taste of the food but the Pepper.
- If it has no taste add more Seasoning or Salt
-If the food is about to get Burnt please quicky add water.
- Should in case you added water and it becomes watery and you are cooking stew quickly add more Tomatoe Paste to thicken it up.
-Even if you add the ingredient one after the other and you put all at once it would give you same Taste.

My husband is a bit territorial and he was worried when I didn't answered the call because I usually picked his calls. He wanted me to get some tomatoes and yams for our aunt who has called after I have left the house. She didn't remember my mobile number and called the house.

It wasn't nothing serious but I just noticed when he doesn't picked my calls...I shouldn't be worried. I feel the same way but he is entitled to worry but I can't.

Oh well.

Check this out...I went to the store to get some items and I didn't hear the phone when my husband called. I saw that he has called an hour later because I was busy in the store.

I called him back only to get 20 questions why I haven't picked his calls. I told him to wait until I get home we will talk. We had the discussion and we solved the issue however why when I called him at times and he doesn't picked up the calls, I have to be understanding and not ask questions? I have noticed my brother do that with his wife so my question to you...is that a man's thing?

Travel start ( Nairobi - Johannesburg (took a bus to Mozambique through a tour company) - back to Johannesburg- Capetown - Johannesburg- Nairobi - lagos

Really funny, I took a bus from South Africa to Mozambique and I didn't have issues with visa . I was visa free to Maputo

I have been to about 25 countries and counting , travel experience matters . Countries like Uganda works with that too
