I just finished sewing my straight skirt, but can't upload. I need to post it so as to encourage Efosa to continue her good work.
Fashion / Re: Let's Sew For Fun (**valisimo Fashion School Online Classroom**) by winie(f): 4:55pm On Oct 08, 2014
I followed Efosa from Onari thread, and I thank GOD I read through. I have my materials fr the straight skirt and cowl neck top, its just the time to sew. Yes, Efosa is right, without our posting the pixs of our work, materials, etc, the thread, would lose its name(every body say GOD forbid!) I shall try to do my part GOD helping me. Efosval, d'alu o. wink
Fashion / Re: A “SEW ALONG” THREAD For Sewing Enthusiasts/Tailors/Fashion Designers:DECEMBER by winie(f): 12:35pm On Sep 24, 2014
GOD bless you dear, I will do just that. I didn't know Onari personally, yet I know she had a big heart.
EFOSAVAL:

winkwould really love to.....but even my "let's sew for fun thread I don't post in as regularly as I want to because of my supper busy schedule. But at least there is a guarantee that some how I eventually I will post there.so my advice is you follow that one coz it's more likely I will post on it.

really do appreciate all ornarri's effort here for us coz she made this a possibility may she rest in peace. I was planning to visit her in Benni for us to arrange a seminar in lagos and Benni so as to encourage young fashion designers .

God knows how pained I felt when I heard the news of her passing.but well the plans are still there and if God says it will still happen then it will.

As for teaching on this thread I really wish I could but like I said it's time that's my only problem. Please kindly join the let's sew for fun thread.

I miss you ornarri. RIP dear.u did so much for me without meeting me face to face.that to me is what I call being selfless.its no wonder we still cry for you even after months.

Family / Re: House Wife Stabbed To Death By Mother-In-law by winie(f): 10:55am On Jul 29, 2014
this incident happened early last year. I know because the husband and the deceased parents came to brekete family to report the case, and for the public to help in locating the suspect. The mother in-law took the pix of the deceased because she was told by a fake prophet that the DIL was a witch, and instructed to bring her pix for prayers. The DIL got wind of this and demanded the MIL return the pix. MIL saw this as a threat to permanently dealing with the witch holding down her son's destiny(they are quite poor). The rest is history! The guy actually ran after the mother to kill her but had to go back to take care of his wife. Quite unfortunate.

Salimmuhammad: What really happened is da 1) it wasn't even a protest its their normal yearly rally that they use to disturb us blocking. Streets etc..2) as for the shooting they caused *shi'a* they were mrching and stopped a police vehicle later on an army one too..as they passed the army one some started abusing the army an so on then out of nowhere one of the shia guys threw a stone at the solider causing severe injury to him..this incident provoked the army guys and things got heated up ...fight to even capturing a solider n beating him...trust da army na..they had no option than to open fire...so u see my brothers as a muslim I'll tell u the shia ppl caused it, they are a trouble some pple..saying they are protesting for palestine..palestine my foot!!!...as a reader said why nt face ur countries prob and chaos b4 putting another's on ur head....this account is true caus I was there they evn made me late to go home making all napep drivers wait for hours till they passed..I saw every thing!!!...PS..sahara reporters pls verify ur news sources or check the authenticity n who u get ur news from...salam..
My brother, you shall live long for being truthful and objective!

Abraham2013:
Look wen a child drinks a rat poison all in protest dat d mother did not buy him expensive cloths dere neighbor bought 4 dere own children, d end result is always catastrophic 4 dat child sympathy or not. In dis case, these guyz simply brough death on demselves. How can u protest in a state were dere is 24 hrs curfew and more dan 70 people lost dere lives in a bomb explosion just days b4 dat. D end product of d protest is always going to be fetal.
My thoughts exactly! If they really love this country, and support government, in this case, Mr Labaran Yero, they would have postponed the protest. They not only chanted anti Nigeria government songs, calling for Muslims to come out en mass and fight for their rights, they even went further to open fire on soldiers! Haba! In my opinion, they were just looking for an excuse to start trouble. This is not an issue of christian or muslim, its a matter of common sense for crying out loud!!!

Queenxstar: Sweetie, I'm honored to hear from you.

What happened what that Oladimeji invited Hester for a peaceful "let's bury the hatchet " Hester wanted to go and since Ethel couldn't dissuade her, he decided to tag along. Hope you remember reading this:

Hester exhaled and walked out to the
balcony.
Ethel followed her and stood in front of her.
'Oladimeji is a chameleon, I don't believe
he
just changed like that. '
'I know Ethel.' She looked up at him.'I'll
will
get ready for whatever might come up.'
'Hester I am coming with you.' He held her
gaze.
'Ethelbert. ' Her voice had a plea, 'we don't
have to keep arguing about this. I don't
want
you to get involved. '
'I'm afraid Hester, I will be involved come
Wednesday. ' He looked away from her to
the
view of the spring out of the balcony.
'I wish I could convince you otherwise but I
see your mind is made.' Hester shrugged
and
took his hand. 'Let's go eat lunch.'
++++
oh I get it now. Nagode.

Woman of GOD, I was blest by your story 'doted lines' and now this. Hmmm, you are indeed a blessing to your generation. I love the way you sprinkle scriptures here and there in the story. BTW, I don't really understand the scene where Ethel sprained his arm. What really happened there and why were they there on the first place?

LNG is recruiting, I couldn't copy and past but here is the gist. Go to the website : www.nigerialng.com, click on careers, then click on the job application portal. The rest is easy. Dead line is November 22nd, and only candidates not more than 28 years with a 2.1 can apply. Though I have a job now, I wish I were 28, LNG is the place to be. I wrote their exam in 2007, its very tough, got up to the second stage then nothing. So my advice is really study hard if you are interested. Best of luck, good people.

Hello people, I have this dream of owning my own fashion shop, and I know I would have to train for it. I know the basics, but I really need to perfect it. The problem is I stay in Abuja, and the two places I have enquired from are asking for between 80-150k for just six weeks! I'm jobless, and can't afford it. So, please I need a free or much more affordable place, where I can learn for three months. Please help a sister's dream come true. GOD bless.
