LiteratureAfrican Writers by Winifred468(op): 9:23pm On Jul 18, 2015
Sure, Africa has produced so many profound and worthy-of-emulation writers in the previous centuries. I would have loved to utilize more suitable adjective(s),well you know what i'm talking about.
Nigerians and other Africans at large are #best_at_it when it comes to writing...

Now let's just get ourselves amused here by mentioning these Authors (past or present) and the countries they represent. That they are late or not doesn't count, you may quote the title of the author's book(s) you've read too. The aspect of writing they adopt doesn't matter too i.e it doesn'nt matter if he/she was or is a playwright, novelist or poet (but you could tell us if u wish)
Let's just keep it on;

E.g Chukwuemeka Ike of Nigeria, Camara Laye of Guinea, Kwesi Brew of Ghana ... on and on like that.

Thanks and have fun.

Good choice Phema

.

I've always wanted to have twins until my aunt had a pair of twin boys a few years back. She really suffered oh no be small lol but when people see them outside they always cooed over them because they were just too adorable. But to take care of them ain't easy at all.

With this, you don't crave for twins anymore right?

Morning guyz.
Being unable to sleep...

Twins things grin
Are you a twin, or you have someone that is?
To cap it all, would you really love to have a set yourself?

As for me, i am a twin, and i'd still love to give birth to twin babies, just maybe.(i wouldn't love to give birth to my own kind of a twin)
Cuz i and my 'best friend since birth' (as it is) are two distinct and entirely different creatures that only shared things in common in the womb, the aftermath is ironic.

Dnt mind my shabby post, just read,be amused and comment.

Have a nice weekend.

Nairaland GeneralRe: What Is The Diminutive Of Your Name? by Winifred468(op): 2:13pm On Jul 11, 2015
tpiar:
Freda is not a diminutive of Winifred.

Its a Scandinavian name derived from Frida or Fried.

Fred is also not a diminutive of Winifred since its a male name while Winifred is female.
AGREED.
But my friends call me FRED only few call 'winnie'.

Lordave:
Diminutive of Kehinde, Kenny? Hahahahaha!
What of Taye, your second?
LOL!
But i think 'taye' and 'taiwo' are the diminutives of 'taiyelolu' (not sure)

_I'm sure 'will' and 'fred' are the diminutives of his English name 'willfred'.

@demmy
true, ur name is very common _

The diminutive of a name is a short informal form of that name. A name may have one or more diminutive(s)
For instance, the diminutives of my English name 'winifred' are; Freddie, Winnie, Freda and Fred While the diminutive of my Nigerian name 'kehinde' is 'kenny'.

Add yours.

Please i read it somewhere that it's only a Marketing Strategy and not a Scholarship Scheme.

Stating that you'd be asked to pay 5,000 naira for 'acceptance fee'...

Could you please say a thing about this?

Thanks
