lari03: The key to forex pipping in my opinion is knowing what drives the market, the big money are they moving based on technical data or trading on information aka news? these are the critical factors that determine success for scalpers like myself, also interpretation of such facts is subject to the person doing the analysis.so there is no holy grail just take your chances when an opportunity presents itself.

The ambiguity of the word scalping greatly eludes starters like me. What is scalping? you go through technicals and fundamental labyrinth to aim for a couple of pips in less than a minute? Does your connotation of the word "scalping" extrapolates to short term trading? Do must of us have that internet speed to execute and terminate in such a short time? would the brokers allow?

I taught on price action the other day, which I said constitutes most of my trading. Remember me saying if gu closes below .6, am selling? good. I entered 2 trades today already. AU has fulfilled its plan, remaining EU.
If the open and close are with the previous bar and terminates at a pivot point, take the tail end as ur stop loss and enter in the opposite direction.
Remember my trade on AU yesterday? Good. this give you authority in trading. Know this alone and spotting trades can make u a very good trader

Kijun-Sen tell you the trend. The trend is your friend. I use rsi (7) to note retracement, divergence, but respects the trend. Price Action indicator has several code-words That indicates bullish or bearish orientation. Note there letters and I will explain from there.
Em12 is just a buy/sell indicator. It should confirm my setup.

Maybe I trade differently. I trade what I see and interpret. If results in a loss, good, @ least I know why. EU is not same with EJ except in correlation. You can have two opposing signals within a currency pair at different timeframes. Difference is take profit region. FX is not a linear graph.

Have been observing the charts. USD/MXN has given some pips and filling the gap after my discuss with naijababes on EJ. Really been avoiding the majors but there is something am observing with EU. 1.2602 been today's R2 is providing a ceiling as tested thrice on 23, 24th, 25th of May on hourly chart. Its highest high is pegged @ 1.2619.
With this observation, am on SELL bias, with stop loss @ 1.2622
Verdict : Sell.
Am waiting for the 4hr price action confirmation on GU. If price closes @ 8 AM below 1.5706, am selling till 12 pm.

Let's get things in perspective, a gap in the direction of the main trend always gets filled while a gap in the opposite may not get filled. Having said that, you should always trade in the direction of the gap.

Well. closing trades can be very difficult for some of us. Requote till it turns negative, mostly due to internet.
Here is an EA to automatically close your trade. It works fine and no requote.

Okay. Some cant really wait. Price action has different approach. Sometimes, you guys wonder how I give pinpoint signals... simple and stupid. Make sure you have your pivot software in place. We have pivotal points at support and resistance levels. When prices drift towards any of these points, am at alert. Watch out for and long bar that extends, but whose open and close is within the previous bar's height. make e tail long comot well well. if this happens on a pivotal axis, its going to turn. put your stop loss at the end of the tail and TP at the next pivotal point.
easy abi? this is forex. use 1hr and above. This case was sell, reverse for buy.

Aha... we are getting there. for those following, I have been dropping some very basic and important tools. Unfortunately, the newbies we are helping hardly ask questions. Are they checking @ all? We will always drop alert signals, as intended in this thread.
Before using a system, you would want to test it in a real market situation. I have read 100s of systems so much so that it seems am holding a hammer and the market are nails I can hit anytime. Unfortunately, life is not a linear progression.
This tool am dropping will help everyone. You can go back in time and forward-test your strategy. not just backtest, which only makes sense for EA. Be inside real-time price-movement situation. After feedback, I will teach price action and pivots.
