I keep seeing many Nigerians online arguing that you can't forfeit money to the government(especially US government) unless you are guilty of a crime, they even go ahead to make it a fact which is wrong and they will know if they make enough research or many of them just choose to ignore it to propagate their agenda.

In the case of Tinubu forfeiture of 460k to US government, the big question should be can you forfeit money to the US government without being charge for any crime in the United State?

You can forfeit money to the US Government without being charge for any crime in the US. Obi's suit seeking to disqualify Tinubu base on the drug case in US will be the first to be thrown out of court because Tinubu was never on any trial for any crime in the US or charged for any crime in the US.

Obi supporters should know that the United State is different from Nigeria, fact here is different from fact in the US. How is the FBI and DEA going to testify against Tinubu if he was never officially on trial for any crime in the US ?
