Maharba ties his son's hands behind him and spreads him on an altar made of firewood.He brings out a sharp knife, covers his son's face with his left palm and prepares to slaughter the boy, He looks up in time to see a goat tangled in the neighbor's fence. He changes his mind, unties the boy and then slaughters the goat instead. A street camera captures all of this. A neighbor calls the emergency police line. Maharba is arrested and the police are about to charge him to court for attempted murder, after reviewing the street camera's recording and making him undergo a psych evaluation. But Maharba tells the police that he heard the voice of his god, Hewhay, earlier in the day telling him to slaughter his son as a sacrifice. But Hewhay is only testing his faith, he has realized now. He has provided a goat instead for the sacrifice. Son is alive and well. No need to slaughter him any longer. No harm was done. Hewhay is only testing Maharba's faith. The police uncuff Maharba. He is free to go. His explanation is perfect. Nothing strange at all. Routine stuff. Disclaimer: the above story is purely a work of fiction.
