Politics › Human Parts Litters Ritualist Den In Enugu. by WIZGUY69(op): 7:55pm On Jun 08, 2015
An evil forest where suspected ritualists
dismember
their victims has been discovered in Enugu State .
http: //thepmnews . com/article /696
Dismembered parts of victims of ritual killing in
Enugu State .
The forest is located at Inyi, Enugu - Ezike in Igbo
Eze
North Local Government Area of Enugu State .
When it
was searched, fresh and decomposing human
parts were
found all over the place but with some vital parts
missing .
The scene is reminiscent of the gory findings at
the
Okija Shrine in Anambra State in 2004 .
P. M. News investigations revealed that majority
of the
victims were taken to the forest and butchered
by the
suspected ritualists who then remove the vital
parts
needed for moneymaking ritual.
Many prominent residents of Enugu and environs
were
said to be patrons of herbalists and native
doctors
who perform rituals in the forest.
Inyi Enugu - Ezike is also said to be known as a
home
for dreaded commercial native doctors and
ritualists
in Nsukka cultural zone , Enugu .
What is , however , baffling to most residents of
the
town is the alleged involvement of some
policemen in
the notorious trade in human parts.
A policeman ( name withheld ) , an indigene of Inyi
Enugu -Ezike is said to be the godfather of the
ritualists and armed robbers terrorising the town
and
Enugu -Makurdi Road.
P. M. News gathered that the policeman is so
powerful in
the town that he is regarded as untouchable
because he
procures powerful native charms and amulets for
top
police officers, businessmen and politicians
across
the country.
And to stem the spate of kidnappers , ritual
murders
and killings in the town , residents have petitioned
the state government to take over the large
expanse of
land belonging to the village shrine Ogene Mmili .
They also demanded punishment for the
perpetrators of
the dastardly act .
They listed those kidnapped and killed in the
town as
Miss Eucharia Abugu Eya, 20. She was abducted
on the
street and later found dead in the evil forest with
some parts of her body missing .
Others are Miss Gloria Ugwueke, 35 and Caroline
Odo
Eje , a widow with seven children who lived near
the
Inyi police post .
She was on her way to see her aged mother
when she was
seized by the ritualists and taken to the evil
forest
where her body was dismembered .
Her leg was later discovered in a shallow grave
without other parts.
But the murder of Miss Edith Ijeoma Onu Ossai ,
26,
last month led to a wide protest in the town by
more
than 3000 women who demanded an end to the
ritual
killings.
The body of the late Edith who was on her way
to
Edumoga Umuogbo Inyi was found mangled near
Inyi
health centre .
Edith ' s heart, kidney and private parts were
removed
by the ritual killers . Various parts of the victim
were buried in different places .
P. M. News learnt that burying parts of the victim
separately would keep her spirit divided and
prevent
her from going after her killers .
It was gathered that Edith ' s mother became
mad after
seeing the dismembered parts of her daughter .
The protesting women led by Mrs . Theresa Mary
Daya ,
Mrs . Mary Abugu, Ugwu Stella Chinello , Alomona
Agnes
and Mrs . Josephine Ojobor , said they have no
choice
but to raise an alarm since the efforts of their
men
have failed.
A source at the Igbo Eze North Divisional Police
Headquarters said the police were on the trail of
the
ritualists.
He disclosed that the matter was being
investigated by
the D 4 section of the Homicide Department,
State CID, Enugu

How can U add my dear Ebonyi state to d list when there are places like Yobe,Borno,Jigawa, parts of Kano, etc?
Ebonyi is too poor, that's the bitter truth.

An average Ebonyi man is a hunter.

That state is too poor ranging from the head (govt) to the tail ( masses).

1.Sokoto
Sokoto has unfriendly climate conditions with temperature going as high as 45C
on a normal day. Most parts of the state are rural areas and over eighty percent
(80%) of the inhabitants of Sokoto practice one form of agriculture or another.
2. Katsina
Katsina is a state in North central Nigeria and has the highest poverty prevalence
among all states in the region.
3. Adamawa
Formed in 1991 from the extinct Gongola state, Adamawa has of late been
terrorized by the Boko Haram terrorists, disrupting its economic development and
growth.
4. Gombe
Gombe is another North eastern state which suffers sporadic attacks from
terrorists.
5. Jigawa
Jigawa state is situated in the north-western part of the country. It is mostly
populated by the Hausa/Fulani, who are spread throughout the state. It has a
74.1 percent poverty rate.
6. Plateau
Plateau state is the twelfth largest state of Nigeria haunted by some terrorist
attacks and tribal clashes from time to time, especially clashes between Fulani
herdsmen and its inhabitants.
7. Ebonyi
Ebonyi is the only south-eastern state among the top 9 poorest country.
8. Bauchi
In Hausa the word Bauchi meansthe land of freedom and tourism. However recent
Boko Haram adventures in the area, though few, have driven tourists away from
the area.
9. Kebbi
It is bordered by Sokoto State,Niger State,Dosso Regionin the Republic of Niger
and the nation of Benin. The recently concluded Sir Ahmadu Bello International
Airport (SABIA), stands out as one of Nigeria’s most sophisticated airports and is
expected to boost the state’s economy.
10. Zamfara
Recently the governor was blasted for the “alarming scope of economic dangers
and its potential threat to the economic development of the state,” by the
Zamfara Budget Working Group.
Niger is the state with the lowest poverty rate which is 33.8%. It was followed by
Osun (37.9%) and Ondo (45.7%).
Bayelsa (47%) and Lagos (48.6%) have less than 50% poverty rate.
The average poverty rate in the Northwest geopolitical zone is 71.4%, which
remained the highest in the said area.
It is followed by the Northeast region which has 69.1% and the North central
region which has 60.7%.
Poverty was least dominant in the Southwest (49.8%), South-South (55.5%), and
South-East regions (59.5%).

Dude, I know what you are trying to do, trying to defend your region, its a good thing.

but let's be honest, at least once in a while.

if you check my comment, my state is there, am not from osun state though. and am not trying to defend any state. its just the fact. let's take Niger for example, apart from Minna, which place can one call cityhuh bida? suleja? those places are still small town with farms in it. Niger is just big for nothing. there's no way you can compare it with Osun.
same care as kogi. the only developed place is Okene & Lokoja. there G.R.A is nothing to write home about.

it's shocking and ridiculous to put Osun on the list, on the basis of salary payment. 18 states of the federation are owing their civil servants salary too, even though its not a good thing, but using it to judge on backwardness of a state is trash and void.

one reason I hate nairaland, where someone have not been to, he/she will be talking about it(by googling it) and yuh think you know it all. D.

osun is still better and well governed than : ebonyi, kogi, Benue & ekiti + nassarawa & zamfara & Niger state.

NOTE : I have been to all the aforementioned state & osun is developed than those state.

am not bias!

Ihedioha2015:
OSUN state: This is a South west state.

Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun on Wednesday opened up on his inability to pay the salaries of workers in the state for five months, blaming it on “declining federal allocation.”
The governor made the open confession at the 7th Bola Tinubu Colloquium organised to mark Tinubu’s 63rd birthday in Lagos.
He said he was deeply pained and unhappy that he had not been able to pay workers salaries.
“I have found it hard to pay the wage bills owing to the declining federal allocation to the state.
“Federal allocation to the state has reduced by 40 per cent since 2013, making it difficult for government to meet up its responsibilities,” he said.

Aregbesola said the situation became so bad at a time that he resorted to the state’s reserves and exhausted it on payment of salaries.
The governor added that the government went ahead to accumulate debt of N12 billion in its bid to ensure that salaries were paid.
He said that he would not mind to borrow more “just to ensure that workers were paid but the “banks would not grant more loans.”
He said: “Osun is next to Lagos in the sheer size of its civil service.
“In fact, the state inherited 50 per cent of all the workers in the old western state and more than 75 per cent in the old Oyo State.
“I was meeting my wage bill of over N3.6 billion with N4.6 billion federal allocation until July, 2013 when the Federal Government announced a decline of about 40 per cent allocation to states.

“This reduced the state’s allocation from N4.6 billion with which I was meeting my bills to N2.6 billion.
“Since then, Osun has had to augment salaries by sometimes N1 billion, sometimes N1.6 billion.
“Before the last time I paid salaries in November, 2014, I have had to either spent the state’s reserves on salaries or borrow money.
“Today, I have a loan of N12 billion that we spent on salaries and I could not go to the banks anymore.”

The governor said that his administration remained pro-workers in spite of the tight corner it had found itself, pledging to pay the salary arrears as soon as the means was available.

He reiterated the commitment of his administration to the welfare of the people, adding that he had demonstrated the commitment with the implementation of a number of programmes.

He described Tinubu as “an icon through whom many great leaders had risen”

To be sincere, osun isn't suppose to be there, forget about all the comment you use to read on naira land. I guess you haven't been to osun state. osun is not backward. if not because of salary payment. after all 18 states are owing salary. replace it with : ZAMFARA, KOGI, BENUE OR EBONYI. NOW!!
