For Nigeria modern shopping malls are still virgin territory if developers can get their costs down and their format right. Replicating the design of US-style malls in Nigeria is why costs are extremely high. Malls rent at N1m plus per sqm in Nigeria. Ikenga Mall is N1.7m per sqm which means that for a 25 sqm shop the rent would be N42.5m per annum. What kind of sales would need to be made to justify that kind of rent? Which sane retailer would drop that amount when they can build a whole store for that amount?

Modern shopping malls in Nigeria need to be a lot more cost competitive and better designed to cut down on the costs of air conditioning and steel work. The best designed mall I have seen in Nigeria is the Enugu Mall by the Artee Group (India) which epitomizes the strip concept with a supermarket as an anchor allowing for natural cooling and light. This is a better design for tropical setting than shops built indoors without windows or natural light.

I just found out that the MRO facility Airpeace Ceo wanted to build in anambra is now being built in Lagos. Soludo can hardly get indigenes to come invest here, how much more foreign investors. We have had month on month, no foreign investment in Anambra state. Its sad really.

I am quite aware that the governor has tried in road construction which i congratulate him for that, but for Anambra to move to the next level, a whole lot of focus should be put on industrialisation and power. This would help generate/increase the internal generated revenue he has been clamouring for. Its not by task force that our IGR will increase.

I am just so sad today for anambra. Another potential investment gone

Go to Umuchukwu in anambra and see what Godwin Maduka is doing there. Go to Umuchu and see what Ezeemo did there. Go to Adazi in anambra and see what someone did there. These are the places I know and have visited. You definitely can't compare your villages with mine. Stop with the narrative especially one that is not backed by any proof

I didn't accept. It was 120 for the training school which is 3 months. Around 200 after completion and 250 after confirmation. Would probably have increased considering the economy.
