Coolstan:
That's an AT&T branded device that displays 4G when you're using 3G. Airtel doesn't even have 4G yet

haven't tried it but wen I do will let u guys know

Reediano:
17(700)

And it's working with your Glo 4g!?

I haven't tried glo on my phone yt cos d sim is a nano sim.

adeniyilamlek:
Thanks God oooooooooo my Gionee M5 support mtn, ntel and etimumu 4g band 7, band 8 and band 3

you must be a lucky chap

henryobinna:
nice one OP.

thanks boss

We have 4 mobile carriers currently in Nigeria with the 4g network namely NTEL, MTN, ETISALAT, and GLO, hopefully in the future AIRTEL should be joining them soon.

Here are the list of the mobile carriers with their 4g LTE bands in case you want to know if your mobile smartphone supports it or you want to get a new phone.

MTN 4G LTE- Supports Band 20 (800MHz) and Band 7 (2600MHz)

GLO 4G LTE- Only supports Band 28 (700MHz)

ETISALAT 4G LTE- Only supports Band 3 (1800MHz)

NTEL 4G LTE- Supports Band 8 (900MHz) and band 3 (1800MHz)

Now to check if your mediatek phone supports this bands procedures are as follows:

- Download MTK ENGINEERING MODE from play.google.com/store.
- Install the App
- Open the App
- Go to MTK settings
- Tap On BandMode
- Select your sim
- You will see a list of BandMode, from Gsm to Lte.

- For GLO LTE try tick on Band 28 check box, if you cannot tick on it then you're OYO (ON YOUR OWN)

- For MTN LTE try tick on Band 20 and Band 7 check box, if it doesn't tick then you're OYO (ON YOUR OWN)

- For ETISALAT LTE try tick on Band 3 check box, if it doesn't tick then you're OYO (ON YOUR OWN)

- For NTEL LTE try tick on Band 8 and Band 3 check box, if it doesn't tick, GOBE for you be that o.

For those of yours who ain't using an MTK smartphone, I would advice you surf the web thoroughly with phones with this frequencies before advancing for a phone.

See you guys leta on your HUNT SEARCH.
THE 4G LTE ULTIMATE SEAECH.

Networks on the global LTE-bands 1, 3, 7, 28 (FDD-LTE) or 38, 40 (TDD-LTE) are suitable for future global roaming in ITU Regions 1, 2 and 3.

Reediano:
I just did some more searches on top phone sites including gsmàrena, phone arena and band 28 was not listed among the supported band both for the 16 and 32gb variant

So am kinda confused here

dis r d 4g lte bands for my phone
4G bands LTE band 2(1900), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 17(700)

dustmalik:
Your phone is an at&t variant, hence why it's displaying 4G instead of H or H+. At&t coin its 3.75 as 4G, for marketing purpose.

Your device doesn't support any of our network LTE bands. Here is your device bands - LTE band 2(1900), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 17(700)

hmmm, meaning it can support oda 4g network

Reediano:
What's your phone model

moto x 2013 model no xt1058

Reediano:
It doesn't... Even 2nd gen is not compatible

Make I burst ur bubbles small, that's my phone

Reediano:
4G LTE network is currently dominating the Nigeria telecom and while most network providers are transmitting with popular frequency band like band 3(1800MHz), 7(2600MHz) and 8(900), Glo on the other hand have decided to settle for frequency band 28(700) which is not supported by most affordable 4g smartphones in Nigeria. which means even if you own a 4g smartphone, there is still a great chance that it won't work with the Glo 4g network.

So if you happen to be a Glo user, one of those you will always have in mind when searching for a 4g smartphone is to look out for the one that will be compatible with the network band. So below is the full list of 4g Smartphones that supports band 28(700) and will definitely work with the Glo 4g network.

Phone way i don use?2 of lg g3 self.i almost brought one with cracked screen for my friend i was shocked when i called lg centre in abuja and lagos. Any screen you buy outside lg centre is fake from aliexpress. What am saying is not hear say bro but fact.Nothing is wrong to tell buyer the real price. Pple way go buy go buy...reason why i like ebay. I can give u lg centre number to confirm.infact dia centre dey ikeja. Presently am using lg d410 with screen issue. The screen goes for 10k for D410 talkless of lg g3...Lg g3 and d410 will b my last phone from lg..from bootloop issue to screen issue...flirking problem

bro I agree with u on d eBay issue, sellers post things there saying the condition abt d product and wen u see it u confirmed abt it. There r sometimes I see products here, and oda selling sites, won't mention. they will tell u product is neat and clean, by d time u see it one-on-one u will b so disappointed, there r supposed to b scrutinising products b4 they r being posted online.
