Bank transfer is the only receipt you have if anything goes wrong with that transaction. Cash payment leaves you exposed. Meeting at town centre or park to carry out cash transaction implies that you are not innocent.

I just highlighted the risk grin choose your poison

Yes i will pay by bank transfer rather than cash or Paypal.

What are you afraid of by paying by bank transfer?

I'm always wary of doing bank transfers. If the guy is dodgy, drug dealer or financing terrorism, you'd now be subjected to a rigorous forensic audit having paid him before. Even though, you'd be exonerated, you would have to prove your non relationship with the person over and over. A mischievous one could even say you're one of their drug customers.

I buy my Pixel 6 from individual seller for eBay. The guy get good reviews from the few personal items him don sell in the past years.

Omo, the phone be like phone wey the guy never use before. I'm really enjoying it.

That's why I said it might be genuine but I would run. If there's a fault with phone, he wouldn't change it for you cos he is not real seller as such. I have also heard about situations where they sell these phones and go to report it stolen so as to get a replacement from insurance. The phone sold would now be bricked.

Why?

That's the easiest way to fall into scam. I have seen some people who have no history of selling anything on there listing the latest iPhone. They might be genuine but I would run.

My only issue with CeX is their exploitative tendencies.
CeX will buy an iPhone for Β£100 from a customer, and sell same for Β£250.
I would still prefer Facebook marketplace (with eyes wide open and only pay after I have collected and tested the item, never ever ever bank transfer). Or eBay.

I actually like Ebay. You just need to buy from a reliable and well known seller with good reviews. Never buy from an individual seller.

If there's a dispute, eBay would deal with it for you. I buy my laptops from Ebay

My bad, I only just realised I strayed into the thread for economic migrants (UK Branch) grin

While we're at it I hope you guys remember to visit Nigeria occasionally so you can get some natural Vitamin D from the sun and eat real Nigerian delicacies such as...
suya,
efo riro,
ofe onugbu,
amala ati ewedu
nkwobi,
gbegiri
ofe nsala garnished with mangala fish
point and kill,
bush meat
African salad
akara
moin-moin
masa
akamu
okpa with a bottle of Coke
ewa agoyin ati Agege bread

I know some of you are already salivating grin

Too bad, continue eating your chicken and chips, burger, spaghetti with sauce that does not contain pepper and the rest of the tasteless oyinbo food tongue

Odenson, everything is here mate. I even had akara yesterday. Today I'm having moinmoin and akamu. You just go to Angel bakeries around 11am, their fresh out of oven agege bread would have been ready. To complement it, they sell ewa agoyin. You won't get home before you finish it. This idea that those living in UK are missing naija food is just stupid. It's obvious you know fuckall.

Please, there's no point in using a dashcam that you can't use when shyte hits the fan. I have been using a nextbase dashcam since 2018. Though, I left it in the car overnight in South east london once and they broke my glass to steal it. The dashcam was Β£65 pounds, I paid more than Β£1k to fix the glass. So, you have to learn to keep it safe every night.

Saying Tinubu knew what he was going to meet in government is ridiculous.

So, Tinubu knew Nigeria had only $3.7billion in its foreign reserve, not the $37 billion that the Buhari government led the country to believe.

Did Tinubu know that Emefiele, Buhari's assistant Tunde, and the Aso Rock gang stole billions of dollars and trillions of Naira?

Did Tinubu know that the Buhari government has sold most of the country's future oil production, collected the dollars and spent/stole it all?

Did Tinubu know that the past government was effectively handing over a virtually bankrupt country to him.

Why should Tinubu not blame the past government.

If your reputation is at stake, you will do the unthinkable. At this juncture, he is just a daft human being.

These are pure FACTS which you cannot contest, so get lost.

Why are they still buying yatchts, bulding vps houses and 160m cars? That is what Obi would not do. You don't spend money you don't have.

OMG! What do you mean by MJ tried to be white? In what ways did MJ tried to be white? And in what ways was he not accepted?

I'm sure you are part of the people that believe he did skin surgery to change his skin colour ? MJ had a serious medical condition that affected his skin, which made his skin start to change color. You should atleast do your research before condemning the poor soul.

As for acceptance, MJ was at some point the most loved and biggest artist in the USA. Loved by both whites and blacks alike. How else do you define acceptance?

Yeah right..it affected his hair and voice too

Even when you become British, if you are not already, you will still not be entitled to any benefits. You will also be paying way more tax as your salary would have increased so much. So, it a no win situation.

Like I got the shocker of my life after filing self assessment in Jan and HMRC said I am still owing them 000's despite being inside IR35. I need a tax haven!

Goat meat with the skin on, not the UK version. I heard there is a place in Peckham where they sell skin on goat meat, but I have never had the time to investigate.

That has to be an underground market, they consider it illegal; I now buy meat directly from the abbatoir in Romford, the taste is so different from the ones those mallams sell in shops. Luckily I stumbled on naija pomo in a shop in gravesend. Pomo to muta!
