I don't know how old you are. In case you are a teenager, just imagine what the government of Buhari and Tinubu, north/southwest, have turned Nigeria into in the past 11 years. You don't know history. The Igbos were the most educated then, which made them thrive beyond the eastern region. From day one, the Fulani north were not comfortable with the Igbos. So at what point did the Igbos get into alliance with the North?

The same way the fulani north are trying to lord over other regions today is the same way they did immediately after independence in 1960.

That was the genesis of the first coup that led to the civil war. Thousands of Igbos in the military of all ranks were killed by their fellow military colleagues. Same thing happened to Igbo civiliana in the north. No concerned leader would have allowed such genocide to continue.

Unfortunately, due to interest in the petroleum resources in the easthen region, United Kingdom and Russia gave all the support, weapons and logistics to the Nigerian military to wipe out Igbos. Even after the war, all access to foods and medicine were blocked were millions of Igbo children died due to starvation and disease.
