educatedfool:No, he didn't choose. As the commander in chief, he is fighting off a bully and invaders. He isn't a coward like some people. BTW, Putin was supposed to overrun Ukraine in 2 weeks, but it's over 3 years now and he's testing The war in Ukraine has gone beyond Zelenskyy. It's a show of force, power and authority between Russia and the USA. Putin is still pained by the dismantling of the USSR, majorly by powers from the west, and he's doing all he can to lord over the baby countries that emerged from the USSR disintegration. A defeat to Ukraine, is a defeat to the USA. It's either the same USA will broker truce, or support Ukraine to expose Russia's weaknesses. Only time will tell. |
NNPC entity of corruption 1) Owns 3 non functional refineries after collecting billions of dollars for maintenance for over 30 years. 2) Treasury looting via fuel importation and subsidy scams 3) 7.5% ownership of Dangote refinery, yet sabotaging the same refinery to continue fuel importation, even when the capacity of the refinery can service Nigerian consumers and beyond. Demolaeby:Every government in Nigeria has been using NNPC to steal from Nigeria from time immemorial. That is why NNPC can't be scrapped until there's no more crude oil in Nigeria. ufotunang:The same people causing the inflation and hardship are the same people sabotaging Dangote's refinery just has they have done to the 3 NNPC owned refineries so the cycle of fuel importantion and secret subsidy payments to themselves can continue. Sing: One day, one day we shall be free; one day we shall be free, one day. |
OP God1000, after the post, you still have to drop comments. This is the kind of news that gladdens the mines of terrorists and their supporters. You can bask in the euphoria temporarily. No country can arrest Bibi. As of the remaining hamas, Hezbollah and all Iran proxy terrorists, IDF will surely finish the job to free the middle east of terrorism. And for members of ICC and other terrorists supporting organizations, IDF has their addresses, and will pay them a visit when the time is riped. Italy, the Netherlands, Canada and all the politically correct countries believe they can appeace terrorists by antagonizing Isreal, when their countries are at the verge of being overthrown by terrorists to establish Sharia caliphates. They will learn their lessons in a bitter way. The ICC has 124 state parties, including 33 from Africa, 19 from Eastern Europe and 25 from Western Europe and others such as Canada. The United States (world power and Israel's ally) is not a state party and neither is Israel. Russia and Ukraine are also not members of the ICC, and Putin has not been, and will not be arrested despite the warrant of arrest on him by the same ICC. Warrant of arrest on Netanyahu is exercise in futility. He can't be arrested. |
Good news |
SuperEagles:I'm a Nigerian. The same tribal sentiments most of you run with is what is killing the country. Can't you counter narratives without going tribal for once? |
Lithiumite:As for me, I don't go on party lines, tribes, religion, or sentiment. The facts are glaring: There is hardship in the land. If Tunubu had the best ideas, he would have helped Buhari. However, if he kept the ideas for his time as the president, so far, those ideas aren't working. Corrrupt politicians can grap it, snatch it, and run with it to occupy ASO rock, but when economic reality sets in, they'll keep dishing out more propaganda to deceive their gullible followers.
|
Lithiumite:Propaganda is the song of Tinubu's government which we should not listen to. However, whether you agree with me or not, there is hunger in the land courtesy of Tinubu's support of Buhari's wasted 8 years, and the current T-Pain hardship due to wrong policies. As of Lagos state, it stands to benefit from the human, natural and capital resources from other states, and will continue to flourish no matter how much AlphaBeta (Tinubu's tax collectors) siphons from its treasury. |
WeddingParol:Corruption thrives in a country when gullible followers don't call out the corrupt leadership. Use your superior reasoning to speak out against the decay in the country. |
shonepa:No time for jokes. Nigeria is in a mess due to its corrupt leadership, and the gullible supporters. |
Lithiumite:Correct. However, "He who goes to equity must go with clean hands". The general fear and unacceptance of the proposed tax reform bill is as a result of lack of trust. Currently, there is unrest in the oil sector, and fingers are pointing at Tinubu's family (OandO and Co) of subtly positioning to take over oil industry in Nigeria. Right now, important economic positions and appointments are giving to Tinubu's inner circle members. And Knowing Tinubu's antecedent with tax issues (AlphaBeta/Lagos state), the fear is that Tinubu's tax reform is one of the schemes majorly for himself, no matter how lofty it may appear now. Therefore, there is need for thorough review and consultation before accepting a reform that would end up enriching one individual and his family at the expense of our common wealth. |
Lithiumite:Then let the government share the VAT proceeds equally to all the contributors (producers, administrators, consumers etc), instead of giving the lion share to Lagos state just because of hosting the administrative offices of these companies. |
AguluLiar:Jagaban is the drug lord of his junkie followers. |
NNPC in the mud. You think Dangote is Nigerian looters ATM (treasury) that you have looted for the past 3 decades via refinery maintenance, oil importation and fuel subsidy. Since Dangote refinery came on board, NNPC has being playing the usual dirty games to frustrate it, and sold the dummy to the gullible public that Dangote wants to monopolize oil sector. NNPC can now continue with fuel importation, while Dangote import crude oil. Game on. For those who swallowed the baits from NNPC and its corrupt affiliates to blame Dangote of oil sector monopoly, you can now tell your friends and family members to build refineries, buy cheap crude oil from NNPC, produce fuel locally, and sell cheaper than the current NNPC controlled fuel price. Let Dangote breathe. |
Long overdue |
Lithiumite:You don't know what you are talking about. Operational bases are different from administrative offices. Lagos state, being the administrative headquarters of Nigeria then made it attractive for all the the big companies in Nigeria to locate their head offices there. As we speak all the banks in Nigeria have their head offices in Lagos state. Does it mean that all the states in Nigeria are hostile to host banks head offices except Lagos state? |
Welcome to Nigeria. Same mode of operation: Grab it, snatch it, and run with it. In the end, the Supreme court would decide the case in his favor.
|
Lagos: N249.77bn What did you expect when all the important companies in Nigeria have their head offices in Lagos, and pay VAT there, instead of their production and consumption bases? Just imagine oil companies exploring, drilling and doing oil transactions in Akwa Ibom State, but go to Lagos state to pay VAT just because their head offices are in Lagos. It has always being a lopsided arrangement to cheat the minority. At the end, you would hear some illiterates telling people from other regions to leave Lagos, and go back to their states not knowing that majority of the development in Lagos came from those states. |
This speech is just intro to ask for loan. At the end of this summit, you would hear the end of the speech ($9.7B loan secured for youth empowerment in Nigeria) |
...desperate to leave the UK and travel to Nigeria. This life no balance |
Yes now. What else is more important than agriculture in this present economy in Nigeria to have SSA? And is there anything wrong in specifying the sector of agriculture (yam , pepper and garden egg ) to develop if those are the crops that do well in the LGA? |
To all the men in Nigeria, working hard to put food on the table in this hard times, may God bless your endeavors. You are celebrated. |

Happy birthday, boys. Remember, together you stand, but divided you fail. |
Richtaiwo:NNPC is in charge of selling Nigerian crude oil. The price that Dangote buys crude oil from NNPC determines the price of the finished products for consumers. This is the same NNPC that owns 7.5% shares of Dangote refinery. This is the same NNPC that owns 3 refineries in Nigeria, but non is functioning despite receiving billions of dollars for mentenance. Also, despite the fact that Dangote refinery has enough products for consumers at the price that is determined by how much it buys the crude oil from NNPC, NNPC is still bent on importing. Of course, importing petroleum products in the past 3 decades by NNPC has being the major means of looting the treasury. Now they want to make it look as if Dangote has being the one causing problems in the oil industry in Nigeria so they can keep importing and looting. When will the citizens of this country revolt to chase away these cabals who have stolen our common wealth for so long, or at least stop supporting them? Is it until when the oil wells all dry up, and the looters stay super rich, while the common man keeps eating from the trash can? |
All what they know how to do is to manipulate statistics to favor their propaganda. You can grap it, snatch it, and run with it to occupy ASO rock, but when economic reality sets in, you'll keep dishing out more propaganda to deceive your gullible followers. Every sane person knows that Nigeria is in severe economic depression due to the corrupt and incompetent leadership. Now it's about rebasing GDP when they have no true developments to show for it. |

Wow. More to go down. |
Be resilience. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. If you survived Buhari's 8 years of hardship, this one too will come and pass. |
Succession plan on course. Congratulations. |
Nuzo1:Sure, they both needed the money, but age isn't on Mike Tyson's side. Very risky to go on a competitive fight at that age. |
