Schuster confirmed as new Real coach Real Madrid have named former Getafe boss Bernd Schuster as their new coach. The 47-year-old is Real's eighth manager in four years and replaces Fabio Capello, who was sacked at the end of last month despite leading the club to the La Liga title. "This is a very happy day for me and I would like to thank the club for giving this opportunity to a young coach," said Schuster, a former Real and Germany midfielder. "This is not a new home for me as I played here for two seasons. I'm sure that on my first day as coach it will be like when I was a player and I have the same desire to triumph at the club." President Ramón Calderón said he thought Schuster was the perfect fit for the Bernabéu vacancy. "It seems to me that his teams play good, entertaining football," he said. "He knows the club and knows how to handle a dressing room full of stars." Schuster spent the past two seasons with Getafe and was tied to the club for a further season, but bought himself out of his current contract after Real insisted they would not pay a transfer fee to sign a coach. He guided Getafe to consecutive ninth-placed finishes in La Liga and to a first final of the King's Cup, where they lost to Sevilla. But what impressed the Real hierarchy most was the attacking brand of football his team played, and he will be expected to marry that style with trophies next season. jejelolatu: huh ?Gallas worried about Arsenal's future Gallas in training for Arsenal. Photograph: Adrian Dennis/AFP/Getty Images William Gallas says he may leave Arsenal unless his fears of further underachievement at the club are put to rest following the departure of Thierry Henry to Barcelona. Gallas, apparently unimpressed by the arrival of Croatia international Eduardo da Silva, said several of the club's players are worried that Henry will not be replaced adequately, leaving the Gunners further adrift of Manchester United and Chelsea. "Several players are questioning the club's future," he told his website. "Around us all the teams are recruiting but what is planned to compensate for the departure of Titi Henry? I will have a discussion with Arsene Wenger and the board members to find out the objectives of the club this season and what they wish to set up to build an even more competitive team. "I am not at Arsenal to play for third place. Today I am at Arsenal but I do not know what can occur tomorrow. Everything happens so quickly in the world of football." Gallas said Wenger's policy of signing young players and developing them into stars is no longer enough to challenge for the Premiership title. "It is necessary to recruit players of reputation because although the young players have many qualities, the season is very long. The young players are thirsty for victories, but Arsenal must obtain results to gain titles. If not, we will have to change policy and do the same as the other teams: recruit with more means." Gallas only arrived at Emirates Stadium last season after a public fallout with his previous club Chelsea, where he was unhappy being deployed as a full-back. During the row he threatened to score an own-goal against the Blues if they did not allow him to leave. Eriksson takes over after Thaksin gains control of City Sven-Goran Eriksson has signed a three-year contract worth £9m to become the new Manchester City manager after former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra confirmed he had gained effective control of the club. "I am absolutely delighted and honoured to have been asked to be Manchester City's manager," said Eriksson, who had spent the last two days with the players at City's training camp. "This is an exciting challenge and I have already started making preparations for the new season. I want to deliver a team that our fantastic fans can be proud of." The club's chief executive Alistair Mackintosh said of the appointment: "I'm delighted that Sven-Goran Eriksson has agreed to join the club as we move into an exciting new era. Sven's vast experience of managing top clubs to success around Europe is one of the qualities that attracted us to him. He also knows the English Premier League inside out during his time as national team manager." Earlier Thaksin announced to the stock exchange that the club's board and other shareholders had waived any opposition to his taking over the club through his company UK Sports Investments Limited. "UKSIL announces that all conditions relating to the offer have been satisfied or waived," his company said on the stock exchange. "Accordingly, the offer has been declared unconditional in all respects. The offer will remain open for acceptance until further notice." michelin89:thank you ! i was wondering what happened to the remaining parts of the lyrics anyone that can see the whole lyrics up there say " I " !!! read it before u say the damned " I " ![]() |
loyika, be easy bro ![]() now why would we be debating if wenger is right all the bleeping time ! ![]() he bleeped up with ali period ! ![]() |
muki, i'm not talking about princes here o if ur prince is gay, i'm not ![]() ouch ! ashley found a great "gay mate" in tweedy don't u think ? ![]() |
muki, for a gay guy, there's a wife u'd love to be your sister https://img184.imageshack.us/img184/5153/cherylae9.jpg r u angry he didn't marry u instead ? could this be why you're so mad ![]() https://img101.imageshack.us/img101/8075/tweedymy6.jpg i guess we should be expecting more attacks on henry ![]() |
A-40, and what would the obvious be ? Ali was crap jo! Angry why una no keep Kezman yeye blue fans we tolerated him for too long if you ask me, Why UTD no keep Forlan, these guys where even better than Ali abeg make the guy vanish jarethose ? this argument was progressing pretty well without the errors of argumentum ad hominem ! then you, being the smartest dude in the land of the stupid decides to show us the light huh ?when u play someone in the last 20mins of a game u only gamble, hoping it'll pay off. note, gamble is not the same as guarantee ! ![]() for instance; your league cup game against west brom, ali played 90mins, had a great work rate and scored twice ! next prem game a couple of days later what did your gaffer do ? kept him on the bench till the 80th mins ! now, would that be "giving chance" wenger surely is the man !loyika, we can live with that but remember, sheva had play time ali did not !ali was repeatedly benched after a good previous game ! what the f*ck did he ever do ![]() |
is you scared |
Mustay:we already did that. that's when he started earning 80k a week ! |
debo, i have been hoping someone would knock on that door. i luv u bro ! but i still maintain, ali's play time at arsenal was shyt !tope, who was henry in juve ![]() remember our man named victor ikpeba in monaco ![]() loyika, ali is crap, agreed ![]() but when some people decide to say he was made crap by wenger, u'll just have to take it as well ![]() for all wenger being a great coach, he couldn't even field ali to make a disgrace out of himself we are all happy at what wenger succeeded in doing to ali's life in 8 years ! ![]() |
Loyika, i had to go back and make sure i didn't say anything as regards to da silva. we'll just have to give him time and "game play" to find out ! having said that; sheva's performance was below par last season. even the monkeys in the bush are familiar with that little fact ! if he plays the same way, we all will have an idea on what's gonna happen. baptista , had play time but delivered crap ! now you can't say ali had play time ! that's supposed to be the point here ! A-40, references relating me and ur d*ck will only be detrimental to you. i'll be sure to cut it off ! tope, let see, Henry had over 10 appearances for juve in a season. vieira was 19 while in AC milan, had 2 appearance for the top side. was mostly stuck with the reserves.for a season forlan had almost 100 appearances in all for man u in 2 seasons ! the point ? they were all given chances to show how crappy(if it applies) they were ! ali, 30 games in 8 years. very cool huh ![]() |
9ja4eva:namely ![]() ronaldo would have to go bald at the end of the season then i love this bet ! |
kitaun, he said 'probably'; relating to the fees ! he's trying to see reasons why he was given 'special treatments' ! surely we can all agree the baptista was shyt ! how come he was always playing ! his work rate was zilch ! his striking 'inaccuracy' was perfectly defined by some flukes ! yet he was up there, playing ! ![]() it took this dude 6months in arsenal to score a premier league goal - perfect by arsenal standards ![]() and he's probably played more games than ali. the thing is, wenger and arsenal has succeeded in stunting ali's growth, and that gives him the right to kill ! Yeye A-40, kezman was played until it was certain to everyone he wasn't meeting up ! u can't say that for ali. now, some of u chickens might not be patient enough to understand where u poke your noses into. the reserves is not supposed to be compared with the main league; game play in the reserves are far below what u get in the epl ! hence, u only check for potentials in players attached to the reserves. ali was not doing badly at all in the reserves; then he gets 3 games in the top side and fails to score and y'all say he's crap ? why the f*ck didn't craptista go to the reserves ? probably because of his size or attachments to his transfer ? oh shyt ![]() u see kitaun, these things just crop up when u are looking for answers in a low spirit ![]() what would u guys have said if he compared his performance to la beast's ![]() |
jejelolatu, u can only say those because u aren't affected. u and i can decide to eliminate the sentiments from here but how would that make ali feel ? the dude has the right to feel bad; more so, he has the right to say just how he feels ! and he'll be justified if he comes back to hunt arsenal more than anelka did ![]() |
chuckdee4, by whose standards ![]() ok, by arsenal's standards, was baptista better than ali ? jejelolatu:now would that be fair to all concerned ? |
tasiana, ejim aka na ajuju gi a gbara okpurupku maka n-asi na awo takapu oso n-etiti ehihe, ma onweghi ihe n-achu ya, onwere ihe o n-achu. mana nsogbu adighe ma oli, supu ya bu ajuju ![]() fromuk, kedu ihe bu ome na ala ebea ? i ma na onye ajuju must not fuo uzo ![]() ka m juchitara ndi n-enweghi ike iju ya bu ese ![]() ndi nwe mmadu, mmamma nuo nwa afo kajara akaja ka m bu - ejim ya mere perfume ! ![]() |
kitaun, i'm not bothered about the fee; i couldn't care less ! chances bro; 30 in 8 years ? come on man ! when henri singed on to arsenal, he didn't see the back of the net for about 10 games ! wenger kept playing him, no fuss ! then ali - who by the way scores nicely in the reserves and league cup *whenever he's not injured* - gets 3 games without scoring and u all say he can't prove his worth ![]() if them do u so, u go happy ? by the way, was baptista better than ali ? |
umunna m o !, ole ihe meganu ? |
