A friend of mine told me that Jamb questions are quite tricky and that if I Wang to pass, I should focus on studying their "past questions". I doubted at first but decided to give it a trial. I went to the market and bought a whole lot of past questions and guess what I found out? Jamb repeats past questions a lot!!! Now this was a few years back and I know what it took from me as a student to come up with the money to buy those past questions. But guess what? Myinstu made it totally free on their website - out of their love for students. Not only Jamb past questions, but past questions from exam bodies such as Waec, Neco, GCE, Bece, etc are for free to practice only on https://myinstu.com/practice-past-questions/

You might have been wondering how to score above 300 in Jamb, trust me you're not alone. Actually I wish I knew this before I took Jamb. When I took Jamb a few years back, I wasted(or rather let me say 'spent') a whole lot of time reading textbooks such as Idodo Umeh(Biology), Ababio(Chemistry), Anyaoha(Physics), etc. The list can go on and on because I literally read the books cover to cover and knew their authors, but what did I end up scoring? Barely above 270 and sad enough, not enough for my dream course Medicine. I wish I had come across Myinstu's post on the Easiest University for Medicine and Surgery in Nigeria: https://myinstu.com/easiest-university-for-medicine-and-surgery-admission/ Maybe I wouldn't have to take the exam again. But then, I learnt how to pass Jamb the "easy way" from my second time writing the exam. continue reading... ↓ |

I have made a similar post to this but I mistakenly posted it to the General forum. Please moderators, bear with me, I'm a newbie here... Do you know why you would go to the medical faculty of some universities and see students with low cut off mark studying medicine and surgery? No, they didn't "sort" admission. This is usually due to a factor called called "catchment area". Although the University of Ibadan is not the lowest in terms of cut off mark, it's arguably the easiest for Medsurg admission. Myinstu made a detailed post with explanation on why the university of Ibadan is the easiest. Visit this page now : https://myinstu.com/easiest-university-for-medicine-and-surgery-admission/

If you have ever been to the medical faculty of some universities, you'll see a lot of students with low cut off mark studying there, whereas some other students who performed much higher than them were denied admission. What might come to your mind is that they "sorted" the admission - No! . That's not the case. The case is usually because of something called "catchment area". Students from certain states or areas are given a higher priority in terms of admission over students from some other areas. Not all University consider this catchment area of a thing, which makes the University of Ibadan to be the easiest for admission into Medicine and Surgery in Nigeria. You might like to learn more about them and what makes them the easiest even though they are not the university with the lowest cut off mark.
