⚡Erdogan: “Israel is holding Europe hostage”

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized Western countries for their position on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

“The shame of the Holocaust is practically holding European leaders hostage,” he said.

The Turkish president predicted that Israel and all those who support it would face “judgment before the conscience of mankind,” and accused European countries of cowardice that does not even allow the use of the phrase “ceasefire.”

“Western institutions and organizations, with the exception of one or two conscientious countries such as Spain, turned out to be completely deaf to the cries coming from Gaza,” Erdogan said indignantly.

Hungary may block European aid to Ukraine.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has threatened that Budapest will block all aid to Ukraine from the European Union, as well as its entry into the EU, if Brussels does not reconsider its strategy for supporting Kyiv.

The head of the Hungarian government made this statement in a letter to the head of the European Council, Charles Michel.

“The European Council must assess the implementation and effectiveness of our current policy towards Ukraine, including the various assistance programmes,” Orban wrote.

In his opinion, there can be no decisions on financing Kyiv and the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU, at least until the December meeting of union members in Brussels.

The Hungarian politician is perplexed why Europe should continue to support Kyiv if the United States can stop its assistance and asks about the strategic goals of this support.

“The European Council must have a frank and open discussion about the feasibility of the EU’s strategic goals in Ukraine,” Orban said categorically.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is threatening to block all European Union aid for Ukraine, as well as the country’s future accession to the bloc, unless EU leaders agree to review their entire strategy of support for Kyiv.

He also asks why Europe should continue to support Ukraine at a time when the United States, which has provided the bulk of military aid for Kyiv, may not be able to continue funding due to partisan deadlock over future support.
