⚡Nepal decided to stop issuing work permits to people working in Russia and Ukraine after at least 10 of its citizens died in Ukraine while fighting for Russia. Nepal has also asked Russia not to deploy its citizens in the army and to repatriate all Nepali soldiers. The Nepalese government estimates that around 200 Nepalese nationals are serving in the Russian army and there are around 100 missing Nepalese.

⚡German law does not allow the extradition to Ukraine of men who left for Germany in order to avoid mobilization, German Minister of Justice Marco Buschmann says. According to German authorities, since February 2022, 221,571 men aged 18 to 60 have arrived in Germany from Ukraine.

⚡The 🇬🇧 Royal Navy has so few sailors that it has to decommission two warships to staff its new class of frigates. HMS Westminster, which was recently refurbished at huge expense to the taxpayer, and HMS Argyll will be decommissioned this year. That’s not the only problem though. Royal Navy is also forced to recruit for tob job on social media. Navy chiefs posted the advertisement for the £150,000-a-year rear-admiral position on LinkedIn in December as it struggled to fill the role internally. It comes as former defence secretary Ben Wallace warned Britain’s armed forces were facing a recruitment crisis because Generation Z was not signing up. 1 Share

⚡The Pentagon announced earlier today that Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin was Admitted into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on the Evening of January 1st due to possible “Compilations” from a recent Elective Medical Procedure; he has since been Recovering Well and was reportedly expected to Resume his Full-Duties as Secretary today. According to Members of Congress, they did not know about the Situation with Secretary Austin, with them only being Notified about his Hospitalization earlier tonight right before the Statement was Publicly Released; however, the DoD stated that during his Hospitalization that Austin was still prepared to Act for and Exercise all of his Powers as Secretary of Defense. 1 Like

⚡Russian electronic warfare troops detect over 2 Mln airborne targets in 2023 Western military experts have cited Russia's unmatched capabilities in electronic warfare as one of the key factors contributing to the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive. The electronic warfare divisions of the Russian Armed Forces identified and tracked over 2 million airborne objects. Among them were 600 thousand foreign aircraft, including 2 thousand reconnaissance planes and over 20 strategic bombers. During the year, troops on duty were put in the highest combat readiness over 4 thousand times. The Ministry of Defense stressed that this is an obvious indicator of the high level of pressure on electronic warfare. The Ministry noted that Russian electronic warfare equipment is capable of detecting any airborne object in space, from small drones to hypersonic missiles. 8 Likes 3 Shares
