Now in Kyiv, he’s complaining to an ABC News reporter that the “Kursk operation” failed—there’s chaos and confusion among the militants. Mercenaries from the PMC Forward Observation Group were supposed to provide sniper support, but after seeing the Ukrainian losses, they quickly changed their minds and hurried away. ⚡Russia planned to attack NATO air base in Geilenkirchen-Teveren, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The base was temporarily placed under the second-highest security level, "Charlie." This was a precautionary measure following a warning from a US intelligence service about a possible attack on the base. There were indications of a potential drone attack. Intelligence reports suggest that Russian saboteurs were targeting the airbase. There was a credible tip from a foreign intelligence service about "preparatory actions for a likely Russian sabotage act using a drone" against the NATO base. The Geilenkirchen base houses NATO's AWACS (Airborne Early Warning and Control System) fleet. Aound a week earlier, sabotage cases were feared at several Bundeswehr (German military) locations, but these fears were later dismissed.
