⚡ The Ukrainian channel "Resident" on the importance of the attack on the Kursk region for the image of the Kiev regime:

Our source in the General Staff reported that the AFU is unable to break through the enemy's defenses in Korenyovo, which is why Syrskyi is transferring new units to the Kursk region from Zaporozhye, Odessa, and Volyn regions. The list of brigades and units will be expanded, and the AFU contingent will be increased to 40,000 soldiers.

It is worth noting that the AFU's losses in the Kursk region have already exceeded 5,800 people.

⚡Citizens in Russia bring “Telegrams” to the French embassy in Moscow to show their support for Pavel Durov, creator of the popular social app.

Durov was arrested in France yesterday on what appear to be trumped-up charges, the latest victim in an ongoing crusade against tech CEOs that refuse to bend their knee to demands of the state.

LordAdam16:
If Dugina a Russian citizen can be assassinated in Russia, an asylee can be assassinated as well.
Snowden first flew to Hong Kong, then China arranged with Russia to have him.
Russia is has a longer history of accepting asylees and has a robust security architecture for asylees from its Soviet days that China isn't keen to replicate.

Still, if Pavlovski shows up in Beijing, he'll be on a Chinese intelligence private jet to anywhere he wants to be.
That's if he doesn't strike a deal with the Chinese.
Russia will likely offer him a better asylum deal.

-Lord
There's Protective Custody.

Edward Snowden is in protective custody.

You can't expect a billionaire fleeing the West to not be in protective custody.

Dugina was an ordinary citizen. Or at least she lived that way.

Women has always been the downfall of great men since forever.
A woman also helped the authorities to locate Hushpuppi.

As a billionaire, the only place you should be seen with a woman is in your bedroom.

Don't take them on trips on your yacht, plane or make them part of your crew. They're always the weakest link.

They're the first person that the authorities will contact when they plan to get you.

⚡There has been no progress in the rapprochement between Damascus and Ankara, despite the efforts of mediator countries, said Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, speaking before the new session of the country's parliament.

"Russia, Iran, and Iraq have put forward initiatives for reconciliation with Turkey, and we responded positively to them, but no progress has been made despite the sincerity of the mediators."

Assad denied claims that Syria is allegedly not ready for full normalization of relations until Turkish forces are withdrawn from its territory but emphasized the importance of clearly outlining the steps for rapprochement.

UAE, Qatar, Nicaragua will give you a heads up when the pressure is intensifying. Then you can be smuggled to China, DPRK, or Russia.
Nowhere is truly safe. You're only choosing who you'd trust.

-Lord
Wrong comparison.

Dugina was a Russian citizen who was assassinated by Ukranian terrorists. She wasn't seeking asylum or anything. She was just going about her business.

I still maintain that Russia is the best place to run to if you're fleeing the West.

UAE and the rest all depend and to some extent are controlled by the West. And if they're offered a once in a lifetime deal, they'll gladly serve you on a platter to western authorities.

I don't know of anyone that went to China seeking political asylum.

⚡One has to imagine this:

The owner of Telegram, Durov, who now holds a French passport, could be brought before a court in France. This means that Russia has no possibility of protecting him on-site as its own citizen in any way. Even if he still had a Russian passport, as a holder of a French passport, he is first and foremost a French citizen, and Russia would have no access to him.

Nevertheless, Russia is trying to give him all possible support, even though, in my opinion, he personally doesn't deserve it. But that's another matter. He certainly doesn’t deserve to be unjustly imprisoned, just to have control over his platform taken away from him in the end.

Russia still owes him nothing.

Kim Dotcom, founder of Mega Folder is also on the run from New Zealand authorities.

Although i suspect he's already in Russia, judging by his posts.

I'm sure many billionaires and CEO are already considering obtaining a second passport.

It'll be wise not to choose UAE, Saudi, Turkish, Qatar, Nicaragua citizenship because those ones can easily bow to pressure from the US and EU.

But NEVER Russia!

⚡Pavel Durov apparently knew that the Gendarmes were waiting for him at the airport at the last moment, he tried to divert the plane to avoid landing in Paris.

According to Flightradar24, the Embraer Legacy jet carrying the Telegram founder from Baku suddenly changed its flight path while flying over the French city of Reims.

The jet turned south around 7:10 p.m. local time, about 20 minutes before the scheduled landing. Interestingly, five minutes later, the plane returned to its original course toward Paris Le Bourget Airport.

It is likely that French authorities and air traffic controllers forced the pilots to do this, although another theory suggests the Embraer didn’t have enough fuel to leave France.

⚡DMITRY MEDVEDEV:

"Once, quite a long time ago, I asked Durov why he didn’t want to cooperate with law enforcement agencies on serious crimes.

'This is my principled position,' he said.

'Then you’ll face serious problems in any country,' I told him.

He believed his biggest problems were in Russia and left.

Later, he obtained citizenship or a residence permit in other countries.

He wanted to be a brilliant 'man of the world' who lives well without a homeland.

Ubi bene, ibi patria!

He miscalculated.

For all our common enemies now, he is Russian—and therefore unpredictable and dangerous.

Of different blood.

Definitely not Musk or Zuckerberg (who, by the way, actively cooperates with the FBI).

Durov must finally understand that the Fatherland, like the times, is not chosen..."

Russia’s MFA spox Maria Zakharova on the arrest of Pavel Durov, the Telegram founder, in France:

“I just remembered that in 2018 a group of 26 NGOs, including Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, Freedom House, Reporters Without Borders, the Committee to Protect Journalists, and others, condemned a Russian court's decision to block Telegram. The West made other similar statements.

They said all this because as of July 1, 2018, the Yarovaya Law began to operate in Russia requiring telecommunications operators to store records of telephone messages and Internet traffic of their clients for six months, as well as keys to decrypt users' correspondence and provide them to the FSB of Russia upon request.

Thus, there were legislative questions for Telegram on this basis that many other countries also had in connection with the technical parameters of its encryption system.

All these Western NGOs called on the Russian government to stop questioning Telegram's work. They appealed to the UN, the Council of Europe, the OSCE, the European Union, the United States, and other governments with a request to resist Russia's actions and to protect the fundamental rights of freedom of expression and privacy.

In addition, they called on Internet companies to resist unfounded and illegal demands that violate the rights of their users.

They demanded that the Russian government guarantee the rights of Internet users to publish and anonymously view information on websites emphasizing that any restrictions must be sanctioned by the courts and fully comply with the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights. At the same time, Durov remained free all this time [in Russia] continuing to develop Telegram.

I am publishing a screenshot of all the Western professional organizations that spoke out then including their collective appeal. Do you think they will appeal to Paris this time around and demand Durov's release, or will they swallow their tongues instead?”

This is a famous photo of Telegram founder Pavel Durov giving Putin his middle finger.

Durov went and got a French citizenship, thus putting him under the jurisdiction of French.
Same USA and French government were praising him few years ago after refusing to receive data to Russia government when the government requested he should give data of Russian citizens supporting terrorists and anti government.
That really shows his naivety in the understanding of the real world and western politics.

Guess what? Putin never called for his arrest and Russia government never killed him
He even tried to meet with Putin in Azerbaijan but was declined. After which he flew into France.

Serves him right.

⚡U.S. Navy will sideline 17 vessels due to a "manpower shortage" that makes it difficult to properly operate ships across the fleet — Fox

There just aren’t enough Merchant Marines to keep all the ships going at once, according to Rear Admiral (Ret.) Mark Montgomery, senior director of the Center on Cyber and Technology Innovation for the Foundation for Defense of Democracy, told Fox News Digital.

“The problem, of course, is the ships are at sea, away from home port 12 months of the year,” Montgomery said. “So you need two crews … we’re desperately short of the number of people.”

“There’s a lack of experienced merchant mariners to crew the ships, and this is really a clear danger to national security,” Montgomery added.

"The sentiments of the population in European countries are not as important as the sentiments and obligations of the ruling elites toward the United States.

The ruling liberal elites in most European countries are anti-national.

They serve the interests of the Western 'liberal international,' led by the United States.

For this international, the needs and demands of citizens are not even secondary, but tertiary in relation to its own geopolitical and financial interests.

And citizens, convinced that they live in a 'democracy,' fail to notice that they have long been living under a liberal-authoritarian system and are objects of informational and political manipulation."
