⚡Russian Air Force has lost just one-tenth of its fleet while many of its military capabilities remain largely unaffected after more than two years of war in Ukraine, the top U.S. commander in Europe Christopher G. Cavoli told Congress.

“Russia’s strategic forces, long-range aviation, cyber capabilities, space capabilities, and capabilities in the electromagnetic spectrum have lost no capacity at all. The air force has lost some aircraft, but only about 10 percent of their fleet.”
While the US has lost the same amount of aircrafts in training crashes lol.

Evgenia Gutsul, the head of the Gagauz autonomy in Moldavia, has arrived in Moscow and has already begun concluding various agreements on behalf of her region. One such agreement has been announced.

Pensioners and state employees in Gagauzia will now be able to open accounts in the Russian bank PSB. This is an interesting development, as it marks the beginning of financial integration of Gagauzia into the Russian banking system. Needless to say that It goes counter to Moldavian government's plans and wishes.

Gagauz are a Balkan Orthodox people who speak a native Turkic language, although Russian is more commonly used. In the 18th century, Russia invited them to settle in Bessarabia to populate an empty region with Orthodox Christians. After collapse of the USSR they immediately tried to secede from Moldavia and join Russia. This attempt failed, and they remained inside the new independent Moldavia as an autonomous region. For thirty years, they have been resisting the anti-Russian policies of the Moldovan government.

"Russia is a friend and protector of Gagauzia. It has saved our people once again" - Gutsul said at today's meeting in Moscow

Russian bomb disposal units in the liberated city of Avdeyevka are using a light-wheeled UGV (unmanned ground vehicle) to clear mines and booby traps left behind by retreating Ukrainian troops. The vehicle, known as "Scorpio," helps reduce the risk for personnel dealing with these hazards.

The compact "Scorpio" weighs only 30 kilograms and can move at speeds of up to 5 kilometers per hour on dirt and 10 kilometers per hour on pavement. It is equipped with onboard cameras, including an infrared camera, which allow combat engineers to examine potentially dangerous objects from a safe distance. The vehicle's mine-clearing attachments enable it to sweep for booby traps and land mines effectively.

In addition, the "Scorpio" can transport up to 25 kilograms of explosives in a special cart. This feature allows for controlled explosions without the need to send personnel in to set up charges, further minimizing the risk to individuals on the ground.

⚡80 years ago, on April 8, 1944, the Soviet Crimean strategic offensive operation began.

The results of the operation were the complete defeat of the 17th Army of the Wehrmacht and the liberation of the Crimean Peninsula, including Sevastopol, the base of the Black Sea Fleet.

In 1941-1942 it took 250 days for the German troops to capture heroically defended Sevastopol, while in 1944 Soviet troops only needed 35 days to break through the powerful fortifications in Crimea and clear almost the entire peninsula of the 200,000 strong Nazi army.
