⚡Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to visit China on April 8-9 to talk with his counterpart Wang Yi, Russian Foreign Ministry announced. The talks are expected to cover a number of burning issues, including the Ukrainian crisis and the situation in the Asia-Pacific region. Last October, Lavrov met with Wang Yi in Beijing ahead of the international forum "One Belt - One Road." ⚡Ukraine has approved a bill regarding the completion of power units No. 3 and No. 4 at the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant. Local sources also suggest that Energoatom will finance this costly project without using budget funds. From a purely technical standpoint, these plans can be realized. In the summer of 2023, there were reports about the possible sale of key equipment from the unfinished Belene Nuclear Power Plant in Bulgaria to the authorities in Kyiv for 600 million euros. This equipment includes the WWER-1000 reactor, pressure compensator, emergency cooling system tanks, steam generators, and main circulation pumps. The remaining components can be supplied by the Czech company Skoda JS, which possesses most of the documentation for WWER-440 and WWER-1000 reactors.

⚡🇷🇺 Yakutia refused migrants. Employers have been given three months to replace “foreign specialists” in almost all key sectors of the economy with Russian citizens. The head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev signed Decree No. 220, according to which the republic introduces a ban on the labor activity of migrants in the most attractive sectors of the economy. They are now prohibited from working in agriculture, forestry, fishing and fish farming. They cannot work at enterprises engaged in hunting and fishing, including organizing services in the listed industries. They can also no longer make money from crop farming. ⚡American troops in Moldova become a backup plan for Ukraine: NATO is considering a scenario of an invasion of Ukraine from Moldova to occupy Odessa and attack Crimea. There is a threat looming over Moldova - the country could become a strategic springboard for the European Union. It remains to be seen whether such a plan will be successful if it is attempted. But Moldova is not the most stable country in the world, as its people are split into two camps - pro-European and pro-Russian. Moldova itself has no strategic importance, but it could become a springboard and a starting point for a Western offensive strategy toward Odessa and Crimea. This could be part of a kind of Plan B brewing in Europe, which could be resorted to if the Ukrainian armed forces are defeated at the front. However, there are problems with using Moldova as a springboard. The political situation in the country is very unstable, and if the Russian side really intensifies its forces, the pro-European faction may face a dim future. This could deprive Moldova of its status as an EU bridgehead. And if the EU, through Romania and other countries, sends troops to provide security for the pro-European regime that is now in power, it could lead to internal conflict. 1 Share
