⚡Today, at 22:18 Yerevan time, the first Armenian-made satellite, "Hayasat-1," was launched into space from the United States aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The satellite was developed by the Bazumk Space Research Laboratory and the Center for Scientific Innovation and Education, with more than a dozen specialists participating in the project. Weighing 1 kg, the satellite is equipped with a GPS receiver to determine orbit parameters, along with the capability to collect information about solar radiation and magnetic fields. Hayasat-1 will complete one orbit around the Earth every 90 minutes. According to the plan, the satellite will be positioned in orbit at an altitude of 550 km within a rarefied atmospheric layer, with an orbital plane inclination of 97.6 degrees relative to the equator. This is the Low Earth orbit commonly utilized for short-term satellite activities. 1 Like
