Nope. If u are lucky to be shortlisted after the interview and name send to HQ Abuja for further scrutiny and if u succeed thereafter, successful names will be send back to various States. This time around they call you to ur State Command office and there you fill a vetting and more like a consent form. You supply certain info about yourself and referees inclusive. Then vetting commence.

So this is your fact...the service is short of man power and they need enough people to take cover since many people is on retirement and many are still going from February so sss would want to use this opportunity to recruit as much as possible so as to fill the vacant places....can you give me one good reason why you think they would want to cancel the previous exercise for detective... was it not daura that gave order for the exercise to place...why are you thinking from the back door...you can still reapply of you are not sure of your self....am not applying not because am sure but only that I don't want to apply again..

My brother, you don't dictate for the Service rather they dictate for you. As for the manpower strength of the Service, you don't have the slightest idea. The minimum standard they may take for Detective is 7 and 5 for ND/ NCE holders while 3 for cadets per state. Mind you they can take more than that based on Federal Character principle.

I may not be totally right as others might have a different approach to addressing their own letters but may still be accepted. Hope I have helped someone.

SSCE and ND/ NCE are all Detective positions. The difference is the placement. SSCE holders are ranked Detective III while ND/ NCE take Detective II & I depending on performance and a few criterias

I did that of the Cadets then but has issues then quickly hooked the Detective Cadre. I clicked a high level runs and was assured of being called to camp but things later went wrong

Sorry to say this but I have information long before now that it was cancelled due to reasons best known to the top men of the service and that might be the reason why the Detective Cadre will be recruited along with others including the NCE/ OND Cadre which rarely happen. My advice is that u should still apply once the signal is received in your command.

What d guy said is absolutely correct, if two people that don't even know each other are saying the same thing at different time and in different places from different sources, if that is not real then tell me what it is. D detective cadre should be expecting the list between Feb and March

You are lost already. Open ur eyes my brother. Let me tell you a fact, people that have the real inside about the Service and their activities rarely contribute on this thread. They occasionally do. Wise up to this

I was also told that , these vacant positions are also open to other west Africans. So with this , its not gonna be an easy task.

Vacancies were open only to host country Nigeria. Other vacancies that were open to other West African countries were lately advertised not the very one we initially applied.

Bros thanks but am still as hopeful as others and don't know my fate yet. On the salary stuff, kindly google the vacancy advert then, I guess it was stated for different positions.

One more thing I forgot to mention in my earlier submission is that according to that IT guy, after the whole screening of qualified applicants, messages will be send to all via email and maybe SMS informing one of his/her application status, if selected or rejected and further instructions will accompany that. So since none of us have received any message in that regard then there is still hope for the living.

I was with an IT staff of ECOWAS this morning and sought to know why the delay in the release of successful candidates names. He confirmed to me that screening of qualified candidates is on but can't tell when they will send invitations. He stress that though some VIP have influence but has a strict limit but generally, is merit base. He again told me that successful candidates will be subjected to Computer competency test, written test and orals which may last for a week . That currently, interview is on for foreign applicants for a particular advertisements not ours and that it's ECOWAS that arrange for their TP, accommodation and feeding. Thanks brother. About the other interview, am 100% optimistic of securing the job because of certain factors but they are yet to respond to successful candidates. As per ECOWAS, i got some info like four days ago that shortlisting is currently on but have not had time to verify that from their office.

I don't even know what the Federal Government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Buhari is up to with this issue of Insurgents from the East. Their actions are clearly treasonable and capable of taking so many innocent lives down but the government seemed to be looking the other way. These are heinous crimes of the first degree and against humanity threatening the territorial integrity of this country. The government knows what to do and needs to acts fast before the whole country is declared a "State of Emergency".

Not at all. Infact it makes you stand out among the croud especially if the BSc Degree is very much relevant to the position applied.. Its an advantage.

My brother, no reliable info from my end now but basic info I've got is that all is on course and still on process. One thing I will urge us hopefuls to do is to keep the fire burning. Sooner hopefully, all the waiting will be over. Many are called but few will eventually be chosen.
So long as one meets the criteria for the position he/she applied, then there is hope. They are after merit and no one will take ur chance away if u are qualified. It is for u to justify ur qualification in the next stage after an invite.

Slots shared among which category of people? Bros relax and never give up. Hope exist even where there is non. Let me say something I said earlier, international organizations are merit base. The hunt for the best among the best. Even if one has someone to hold onto, i bet you, one must be qualified for the position. If you are qualified for the position you applied, then you can be sure to get to the next stage of the recruitment process and one's performance there will determine his/her fate again.

Am having two sittings on my WAEC and there is only space to fill one sitting result on the site, and it's only English that I wrote in the other sitting, so I don't know how I will fill the two results in that one sitting space. In one of the result am having 8/9 credits except English Language and in the other sitting I got the English Language. Its really complicated because you will upload SSCE Certificate which will display everything if not, I would have advised that you fill in your complete and correct O'level. God help you. Thank God my page is now displaying but am yet to fill and submit.

Which stage is that? I actually got a mail yesterday from dragnet with my email address and a generated password asking me to log on to dragnet.ng and go to the next stage but after login, I don't see anything to work on from there. Any idea what I should do?

Nobody has been invited for anything. One thing is clear. Some are posting trash out of frustration possibly because they missed out in the application or some other thing. Some again don't believe things can change over time. More importantly, ECOWAS is an international organization not a Nigerian where adakadabra is very much possible. Consider the period given for the applications and the volumes they have received. You don't expect them to do magic and get the best of what they want. These guys are merit base. For example, I applied for a job with a top Firm in Abuja since February this year and had given up already only for me to get an invite yesterday to my mail and a follow up to my mobile line from them for an interview. Kindly discard false rumours abeg. Patience is a virtue.
