i change with mobil super 2000 5w 30. compare to what the previous owner was using mobil 1000 20w 50. Also I reset the timer and the trip. I will start monitoring it now especially fuel consumption.

Pls how much did you buy the Mobil Super 2000 5w-30?

Keep searching for the Mobil Super 2000 at all Mobil stations. You should be able to find it

Baba .. It is 1 thing for those cars from 1995 to still be plying Naija roads, is another thing for those cars to be road worthy........

Most cars on naija road now are coffins on wheel. Some don't even have brakes, airbag, tires, broken mirror seat belt etc . The list goes and on . most of those cars are smoking white, black all manner of smokes .. These cars are polluting the air we breath.....


USA cars rarely have sludge in them . And if they do and advice our fellow Nigerian men on how to properly get rid of sludge. They will turn blind eye and continue using engine oil that will create more sludge

If your car burns a 5W30 oil weight, I'll suggest you switch to a slightly thicker oil (like a 10W40). Use any brand you can afford (as long as it's genuine) with an equally good filter.

Okay....My car doesn't burn oil...the exhaust is very clear and colourless ...it doesn't smoke atal.
Just some leaks under the engine which I intend to fix today or tomorrow...

I wouldn't wanna use any oil outside the recommended grade.(5w-30).
Pls suggest a good filter that can go with Mobil 1.

1 liter for 1,000 miles is on the high side and abnormal.
Yes it is considered normal for some cars to burn through some oil before oil change, but it is very abnormal to burn out the entire oil before it's next oil change.
