It is always good to perform routine checks on your vehicle to know which parts are due for a change. Inspect parts like brake pads, shock absorbers, brake discs, spark plugs, ignition coils, oil filter, serpentine belt, cabin air filter and radiator and replace them when you observe any damage or heavy wear and tear. You can have a qualified mechanic do this for you if you are not the DIY type. Of course, I need not mention changing your oil as and when due. Also, where you buy the replacement parts can either ruin or keep your car running. It is important to make sure you buy high quality parts. Part of your savings should be geared towards buying parts for your car when the need arises. Don't be in a situation where you have to compromise quality because you don't have the required funds. It won't be long before you start hating your car if you do. It is not necessary to always buy Genuine OEM parts (OEM parts, simply put, are parts made by the car manufacturer itself, or their contract manufacturers) as they are usually very expensive. If you can afford them, by all means go for them. There are affordable (not dirt-cheap) high quality branded Aftermarket parts made by big name Aftermarket manufacturers like DENSO, Delphi, TYC, Four Seasons, Moog, Mevotech, NGK, Bosch, and other small name Aftermarket manufacturers you could go for. Some of these parts are made in China but they are by no means poor quality parts. I must remind you at this point that "Made in China" is not a certain mark of bad quality manufacturing. Buying car parts in Nigeria can be somewhat daunting because many importers do not put quality first. I do not blame them so much. Everyone wants dirt cheap parts so the importers must needs ask the manufacturers to tweak the products to reach a profitable compromise in making the part so cheap. The end result is a very cheap part that may harm you and your vehicle. These parts could come well packaged in big automotive brand name labels. This is why I must caution you: Buy your car parts from reliable car parts dealers. There are many online shops where you can now buy car parts in Nigeria. However, in my experience the most robust and authoritative platform I can recommend is Raydron Auto Parts. They host an online catalog for car parts which contains everything from the tiniest bolts to oil pumps, water pumps, and engines. They do not necessarily stock all the parts on the platform. In fact no company stocks all car parts. They however provide an easy-to-use platform for Nigerians that ensure you get the exact part for your vehicle at an affordable rate. Apart from Raydron Auto Parts, there are other platforms like CarPartsNigeria, Authenthic Spare Parts, KamsiParts and a lot more. However, I find that Raydron Auto Parts has a larger database of car parts. Do your own research. The bottom line is: Ensure you buy only high quality parts. |

That may even fix the problem. However, I will check and get back to you regarding the availability and price of the brainbox for your manual car. Thanks. |
jkk77:Hello, I before i go ahead to pursue this deal I'd like to know what went wrong with your brainbox. This is because I don't want a situation where I send you the part and it doesn't solve the problem your car is having because you didn't even have to change your brainbox in the first place. It is a pity that many Nigerians have lost touch with reason. It appears you don't understand what "diplomatic" is. This joke is by no means an insult on GEJ. On many occassions when world leaders come together as in G-8 or G-20 meetings, they crack jokes. I have read of many of such scenarios myself. They are no insults. It's just some group of important people having fun. Please Nigerians, cool ya temper! |
Fellow Nigerian graduates, while I share the pains of the unemployed I think it's high time we told ourselves the truth: the government cannot create jobs for a goodly number of unemployed grads. I believe Rochas did what was right as Imo State is not wealthy enough to pay for unnecessarily redundant labour. I have always maintained that Nigerians who think that the government alone is responsible for the unemployment situation in this country don't understand how economies are ran. The truth is, it's the working class that is holding back progress. In those developed economies it's not the government that creates jobs, the government facilitates job creation and this "facilitation" depends on several factors. One of such factors is that there must be an entreprenuer or a group of entreprenuers who are ready to "make" a product for sale. The product could be sold within or without their country. By starting such manufacturing ventures jobs would be created and the more there are such entreprenuers the more there would be jobs and such is the case of the developed countries of the West and Japan. To be sure, Siemens, Sony, Nokia, LG, GE, ABB, Ericsson, Shell, and many more companies are not run by government but by a group of people. Now, the point I am making is that the unemployment morass that this country is immersed in will certainly worsen if the already rich working class citizens do not invest in the future by going into manufacturing. And by manufacturing, I do not mean fast-food-making, sugar production, salt, spaghetti, but the manufacturing of those export-quality technology-intensive products whose manufacture will require a large input of labour force, directly or indirectly and which is lucrative enough for the people employed thereby to attain a high standard of living. Nigeria has a lot of billionaires only that majority of them are not investing "wisely". They buy shares, or stash away money in fixed deposit instead of putting the money to work through "manufacturing" thereby enriching the unemployed and enriching themselves better than if they bought shares or used compound interest on the money. |
