Never before has any single issue thrown the entire Igbo leadership class in as much confusion as the case of Nnamdi Kanu has done. They have never been so pointedly congregated in a tangle as they are in their efforts to make sense and meaning out of what is happening. This confusion is seen across the board – the Igbo politicians, the Igbo traditional rulers, the Igbo clergy, the Igbo intelligentsia – all seem to be at a loss on this matter.



Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB represent the unexpired pain and frustration of the Igbos for losing a very costly war and for the victimization that followed the past 50 years. As is now evident, Nigeria mismanaged its victory over the Igbos. It failed largely to carry through the ideals of no-victor, no-vanquished. Hence the war did not end as thought. The question is not whether the Igbos are angry. Rather, the question is how justified is that anger and how well managed has it been. And how effective is the present method of expression thereof? Thus, the tension is between the belief that the Igbos are justifiably angry and yet the informed understanding that Nnamdi Kanu has represented the poorest method and form of expression of that indignation. The Igbo elite are caught in between this tension, and no easy way out for them.



The Igbo Governors don’t know what to do. They are uniformly yoked by the burden of having to show support for Nnamdi Kanu in acknowledgment of the state of mind of the average Igbo, while deep down in their consciousness, they understand the need to distance themselves from the method of expression adopted by Kanu and his group. They know that the method is counterproductive and self-defeating. Not identifying with Kanu at all is politically risky for them. Yet, identifying with him fully is equally politically dangerous for them. This is the burden we all bear. And it has manifested in varying degrees among different segments of the Igbo elite in their equivocations and inconsistencies.



Among the literati, they have adopted different ways and reactions to deal with the challenge. Some refused to hold Kanu and IPOB responsible for the escalated state of insecurity in the South East in recent times. Many have been quick to argue that IPOB members have not been actually the people that pull the trigger each time people got killed in the East. This is one of the tricky points. The Government of Nigeria is of the position that the unknown gunmen are members of IPOB. Many, including this writer, disagree. However, we, the Igbo intelligentsia, are somewhat dodgy on this point. Responsibility for the violence is not only determined by who actually pulls the trigger. It is equally a matter of who loaded the gun. It was precisely because these conditions were foreseeable outcome of instability that IPOB risked that they may be held responsible for it.



Also, we see the confusion and inconsistency in the manner the Igbo cognoscenti have tried to explain the recent events that occurred in court during Kanu’s last day in court. There has been a grudging refusal to accept that denying Mr. Bruce Fein access into the courtroom during the trial was not such a fundamental issue as to justify the reaction of Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyers, which prompted the long adjournment of that trial. It would have been graceful and wise to allow Mr. Fein into the courtroom. But that was all it was – a matter of grace and elegance. Otherwise, Mr. Fein has no right to be in that court in so far as the court could not admit all the lawyers that wanted to be in that courtroom for the trial. And his not being there, for whatever reason, should not have had such an impact on the proceedings. As one dramatic example of the inconsistency among the Igbo intelligentsia, two top figures of the Intersociety, a research group that I have admired so greatly, issued a statement attacking my earlier publication on the matter. The irony is that these individuals never expressed any views on the question of whether Nnamdi Kanu could set up a militia called ESN within the laws of the country they operate in. Apparently, they supported that, but could not openly express such support. Alternatively, if they had seen that development for what it was, then their position on the case today does not reflect that.



Among the Igbo traditional and cultural leaders and the Igbo clergy, you see the same incredible levels of confusion. Ohaneze mooted the idea of appointing a monitoring team to monitor the trial by observing proceedings in the courtroom. And an Igbo chieftain and former governor of one of the Igbo states leads a group of lawyers and some brethren to court each time to monitor the proceedings. But how would they? Do they want to know whether the judge listened well to the arguments of counsel and if her rulings are based on fair and informed judicial analysis of evidence and the law? But how could they when most of them are not lawyers? The idea of monitoring the trial is very unusual and meaningless, really.



The latest in this show of confusion was the recent statement attributed to Igbo Council of Traditional Rulers and the Association of Igbo Bishops, asking the Federal Government of Nigeria to release Nnamdi Kanu immediately and unconditionally. That is very strange, to state the obvious. I wonder whether they have ever considered how the government of Nigeria would react to such demand. It is an effrontery to a sovereign state. As I stated in an earlier post, what these Igbo leaders should do is to demand that there be a fair trial. To ask that a person standing trial be released outside the judicial process is an unprecedented and precarious position to assume. Let the trial occur. Let it be fair. Then apply your political solutions to the outcome, if need be. But to abort a trial and sideline the judicial process is a fundamental challenge to the sovereign status of the state. If it is done in the case of Nnamdi Kanu, then why can’t it be done in other cases in the future? What will the Igbo leaders do if next time the person standing trial is an Ijaw man or Benue man? Taking a step that you will oppose if taken by others is plainly capricious. Indeed, these are all signs that these Igbo groups are totally confused over the Nnamdi Kanu challenge.



Again, emphasis should be on fair trial and the preservation of the integrity of the courts over this case. To threaten to file a petition against the judge at the International Criminal Court, as Mr. Bruce Fein openly did or to publicly accuse the judge of bias and corruption as some Igbo leaders have been doing, is foolish and counterproductive. It is actually an attempt to cease to be part of Nigeria without using the word secession. And if Nigerian Government sees it as that, it will naturally resist, thereby exacerbating the crisis of mistrust. I suggest that all those in support of Nnamdi Kanu should only insist on due process and fair trial for now. Any outside interference in the judicial process will not help the Igbos in the long run.

It was here on this forum that I heard for the first time the idea that a prediction could be made with certainty. Otherwise, I had always thought that a prediction was the opposite of certainty in some ways. That idea of prediction with certainty got me to realize that some people have been reading my predictions with some reservations. They wanted me to color my prediction and add some elements of prayer to it. So, when I was predicting what would happen in the Nnamdi Kanu’s hearing today, I carefully omitted the worst-case scenarios. I did not want to tell the readers that I always feared that Nnamdi Kanu defense team is poorly led and that such poor leadership was going to lead that team to a disaster, the type that eventually happened today. Also, to avoid annoying the gullible IPOB members, I did not want to tell them that I foresaw that the next adjournment would be next year, with Nnamdi still in DSS custody. So, I stated it mildly by merely predicting that the trial would be adjourned probably till 24th November. That was predicting “without certainty” as they would like it.

However, regardless of what we say or what we think, what will happen will happen. It is that logical flow of human action that matters, not what we think. So, my predictions are not meant to control what will happen. They are meant to make the most informed guess of what will happen. I believed that there was no way Nnamdi Kanu would be “released unconditionally” today as Barrister Ejiofor mislead the gullible followers of Nnamdi Kanu and the gullible believers in the immediate feasibility of the Biafra State of their territorial design. Predictions, though guesswork, require knowledge of relevant factors in their appropriate weight and measures and in their correct sequential order. So, to make the best guesses on the Nnamdi Kanu case, I had to rely on my deep understanding of the legal process, human nature, Nigerian society, history, etc.



When the lead defense lawyer for Nnamdi Kanu told his members that Nnamdi Kanu would be released unconditionally today, I knew he either did not understand the law or he had no faith in himself. Otherwise, how could you ask the court to transfer Nnamdi Kanu to Kuje prison and at the same time ask the same court to release him? It means, at best, that you are silent on important details. And that amounts to active deception.



Worse than my prediction, today, there was not even a hearing. The defense team staged a protest by way of a walkout on the court. And their reason was because the court or whoever manned the gate to the court did not allow Mr. Bruce Fein, an American legal consultant to Nnamdi Kanu to enter the courtroom. Watch my words: “Legal Consultant”. Each country or each jurisdiction determines who is authorized to appear in court as Counsel. In as much as Bruce Fein, a personal friend of mine actually, is a brilliant constitutional lawyer of international repute, he is not authorized to appear as counsel in Nigerian Courts. So, let us get it clear – Bruce Fein has not right of audience before Nigerian courts. And if he had no right of audience, he has not automatic right to be present in any court proceeding in Nigeria. If he was allowed in that court today, it would have been for a different good reason than that he is Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer. So, the argument that Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer (Bruce Fein) was denied right to be present in Nnamdi Kanu’s trial is not as meritorious as it sounds to the ear. Even Nnamdi Kanu, himself, admitted that Bruce Fein was to be in court only as an observer to observe the proceedings. So, he was never intended to be in court as Nnamdi Kanu’s counsel.



There is some comparison with a huge difference between what happened today and what happened in 1962 in Awolowo’s trial. Chief Obafemi Awolowo was tried, along with several others, for treasonable felony in 1962. The head of Awolowo’s defense team, a British lawyer, Mr. E.F.N Gratiaen, QC, was denied access into Nigeria by the immigration authorities, at the airport. Like in today’s case, the issue of access to counsel or right to counsel was raised. The constitutional law is clear: that a person standing trial for a criminal offense shall have the right to defend himself in person or by a counsel of his choice. At the time Awolowo stood trial, the Constitution in force was the 1960 Independence Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Section 21(5) (c) thereof preserved that right to counsel of one’s choice. Today, the operative Constitution is the 1999 Constitution (as Amended). Section 36 (6) (c) thereof preserves the right to counsel of one’s choice.



There is a huge difference between what happened in 1962 and what happened today. First, Mr. E. F. N. Gratiaen, QC, though a British citizen, had right of audience in Nigerian courts, according to the law of that time. (Until 1963, to practice law in Nigeria, you needed to be called to the English Bar. So, Mr. Gratiaen had right of audience in Nigerian court, provided he met all other requirements for him to be present in that court). He arrived in Nigeria lawfully. But the immigration authority denied him entry to Nigeria. They did so obviously to prevent Awolowo from having a counsel of his choice in accordance with the constitution. So, they allowed the administrative discretion of the Controller of Immigration to override the Constitutional right to counsel of a citizen (Awolowo). That was an issue. However, in today’s case, Mr. Bruce Fein is not a lawyer with right to appear in Nigerian courts. So, Nnamdi did not have constitutional right to be represented by Bruce Fein. Stopping Bruce Fein from entering that court today (where it was clear that most people that wanted to enter could not be allowed to enter) was more of a moral and ethical issue than a violation of constitutional right of Nnamdi Kanu.



But was it really right to stop Bruce Fein from entering? No! It was a very unwise thing to do. It helps Nnamdi Kanu’s propaganda machinery without adding value to the Nigerian Government’s case. Bruce Fein’s presence in court would not have hampered the proceedings. In fact, it would have been wonderful for the court to allow Bruce Fein to address the court off the record. Can you imagine how great it would have been if Bruce Fein was allowed into the court and the Judge said to him at the end of the trial: “Mr. Fein, could you please address the court off record”? He would say what he had to say. It would have amounted to nothing because it is off record. Yet, the world would feel that the Nigerian Government went extra mile to ensure that Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyers were heard. The Government would have gotten the glory without losing anything. But again, as has been the case, whenever Nigeria had the opportunity to be great, it will choose to be small. How can a court that has been admitting Ohaneze members as observers refuse to admit the only observer the defendant wanted to be in court? It was a terrible error of judgment. But let me make it clear: the judge did not know who was stopped and who was not stopped at the time it happened. It was only later that the judge knew. So, she still had time to address the matter, but she failed woefully.



It was after Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyers walked out of the court that it became obvious to the judge what had happened. The court had a number of options at that time. The court could have stood down the case for an hour to give chance for the matter to be resolved so that the case could go ahead. But instead, the court took the next available option, which was to ask Nnamdi Kanu if he would enter his own defense. That was sad. The court should know that Nnamdi Kanu did not want to defend himself in person. He already had counsel. The best thing would have been to allow him to opportunity to appoint new counsel. But in any case, since the offences he charged with carry capital punishment, he must be represented by counsel. So, it was pointless to ask him if he could take on his own defense. Assuming he had said yes, that would have placed the court in an awkward position.



We used to believe that action and reaction would be equal and opposite. But the reaction of Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyers was neither equal nor opposite to the stopping of Bruce Fein from entering the court. Their reaction aided the Government and prolonged the misery of their client and denied the society of the essential public good behind every court trial, which is achieve clarity in the obscurity of law. By walking out on the court, they embarrassed the judge without helping Nnamdi. The only thing they achieved was that they concealed the fact that even if the trial had held, they would still not have made any tangible difference – all the relief they sought would have been flatly denied. They cleverly hide their shortcomings and now left people wondering if they would have succeeded had there been a trial. The sole consequence of what they did is that Nnamdi will not be in court for the next two months. If their goal was to get Nnamdi released, their walking out failed to achieve that. If their goal was to have the court withdraw from the case for lack of jurisdiction, their move was against their motive. If their motive was to have Nnamdi transferred from DSS detention to the prison, their move today was contrary to their motive.



A good lawyer should never do anything that does not help his client or improve his client’s position in the law. I am still wondering how the decision to walk out on the court today helped Nnamdi Kanu. I can’t see any. A lawyer is not in a case for his own ego or for his own comfort or for his own aggrandizement. He is in a case to help his client, to better his condition, to advance justice on his side. The decision of the defense team to walk out on court was a terrible move. In fact, one should expect these lawyers to all withdraw from the case and allow Nnamdi to appoint a new set of lawyer. The present lawyers have placed their personality in issue. They have antagonized the court in a way that will always reflect adversely against their client’s interest. The best option for them now, to show their integrity and preserve their honor, is for them to resign. But Ejiofor cannot resign because this case is more about him than about saving his client. It makes him the most influential member of IPOB with all that goes with it.



Yes, it is true that in a case of this nature, propaganda has its role and importance. We expect Nnamdi Kanu to have a strong and elaborate propaganda program. But the lawyers must stay away from the propaganda department. The lawyers should focus on the law. The greatest problem in Nnamdi Kanu’s case is that it is the lawyers that are running the propaganda department. So, today in court, these lawyers were working in the propaganda department. And no wonder the outcome.



What do you expect to happen now? The trial gets delayed. The Government can relax. They now have two months to play with. They cannot be rushed. They will take their time to prepare better for their case. Nnamdi Kanu remains in limbo. For a man with such elaborate activity as seen in his running of the Radio Biafra and with millions of followers, it is terrible to be kept away from his followers. As for IPOB, they will continue to disintegrate without a clear leadership. As for Bruce Fein, he will return to Washington and wait.



I saw a video clip where Bruce Fein was saying that he would report to the US Congress that there was no fair trial in Nnamdi Kanu case. That was a bit funny. Why report to the US Congress? It was not the US Congress that sent you to observe the trial. It is a bit rude and unfortunate that you can report one country to the legislature of another country and expect anything out of it. Yes, Bruce Fein has friends in the US Congress. I know that as a fact. But I don’t see the difference that makes. If he reports to them, they will be hearing something they already knew, and which they cannot do anything about. They will weigh their interest in Nigeria and not find any basis to do anything. During the EndSARS massacre, both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden (now President Biden) said things very critical of Nigerian government. But recently, you saw Biden hugging President Buhari. I don’t see any different the report of Bruce Fein would make, at least not in the immediate term and certainly not of any direct benefit to Nnamdi Kanu’s defense.



Well, the only hope now is if the High Court of Abia State hears the fundamental rights application which Nnamdi Kanu file there through one of his lawyers, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor. That is set for November 19, 2021. If that happens, there may be a decision that may add flavor to the case and give some respite to Nnamdi. Otherwise, it is till January 19, 2022 that Nnamdi will be seen in court again. All that will be happening is the weekly update that Ejiofor will be giving Nnamdi Kanu’s followers, which actually makes Ejiofor the de facto leader of IPOB, a position he so desperately covets.

It will take many years for the Igbos to recover from the damage done to them by IPOB. They really pushed us back as far as possible to 1070.





The irony of it all is that we should have seen it coming. What you might have seen as wisdom or bravery on the part of Nnandi Kanu is utter foolishness, greed and ignorance.



The whole thing went as perfectly as such things normally go. A stupid person loaded a gun and lost control of the gun, and criminals are using the gun to kill people. Then the foolish person is busy trying to convince people that he is not the one firing the gun. But that was exactly why he was warned not to load the gun. We warned you that the gun you were loading would be used by the enemies of the Igbos to target and shoot the Igbos. But because you were being cheered by frustrated, emotional and uninformed Igbo youths, you went ahead. And look at where you landed us.



Everything that happened to IPOB and Nnandi Kanu was so easily foreseeable. It was foreseeable that Nigeria would proscribe IPOB. It was foreseeable that the Nigerian forces would use it as excuse to kill thousands of our youths. It was foreseeable that their leader would be arrested and imprisoned. It was foreseeable that no country in the world would support IPOB.



Indeed, what many of you did not know was that the Brirish government was after Nnandi Kanu already. He hired Simmons, a big law firm in London. Then he relocated temporarily to Kenya while waiting for Simmons to resolve the situation in London. Nnamdi Kanu was living in Kenya at the time he was captured. He was not visiting Kenya. He bought or rented an apartment in a posh area in Nairobi. He bought a car. He drove around town and went to nightclubs. He drove himself to and fro the airport on many occasions to pick up or drop off personal visitors. He drove himself and alone to the airport the day he was captured. All these were foreseeable.



It is clearly foreseeable that you cannot stay in one country and from there be directing your followers to attack the security forces in another country. It is elementary knowledge that the country you do it from will not allow that. The British government had had enough of that from Nnandi Kanu and was determined to stop him. But his uniformed followers did not know.



All was foreseeable! It was foreseeable that the South South would not agree to be part of Biafra, to be dominated by the Igbos. They never agreed. Ojukwu used his position to cajole them into joining in 1967. They regretted that mistake and even turned against the Igbos for it, as seen with the abandoned property policy. It was also foreseeable that the current Igbo political leaders like governors, senators, etc would not support them. It was foreseeable that such poorly timed quest for Biafra would not only be defeated, it would provide the enemies of the Igbos an excuse to further marginalize the Igbos.



The fact that Nnandi Kanu and IPOB did not foresee these clearly foreseeable chain of events makes them so unwise and so unintelligent.



It will take us years to recover from their foolishness. Today, the main concession the Igbos are asking from Nigeria is the release of Nnamdi Kanu. And once granted to the Igbos, Nigeria will say to the Igbos: "We have given you something of value. Now wait for others to get something before you can come back for more". So, that is what we can expect to get.

There's nothing that you'll tell me that happened in Nigeria that would surprise me. In fact, the respite the southerners and Christians enjoy for now is that it is still a Muslim-Muslim affair. I assure you that this same strategy that they used in cornering power to the North would be used to perpetuate it in 2023. Which Christian president would survive a month under Jihadist siege already happened in the MB. By 2023, I pity any southerner or Christian in the north.

We are really in a deep shite because the situation is gradually turning into a civil war.

I have a friend that lives in Kaduna. When I first sensed the encirclement strategy of the marauders, I told her to relocate to the Southern part of Nigeria but she was like "It's not that easy. I knew this would happen but I never really planned my life well. I just can't wake up one day and leave my family and job."
The reality is that it may get to the point when north-south movement would become a nightmare, if not an impossible task. Just that we Africans lack strategic insight. It's just a matter of time ...

Abuja has now been effectively sandwiched by bandits operating in the 4 states around the federal capital territory (FCT) - Niger state to the West, Kogi to the South, Kaduna to the North and Nassarawa to the East. There is very little doubt that the next theatre of attack and main target is Abuja FCT.
The bandits are now well domesticated around Abuja FCT through illegal Rugas and settlements deep in the forests close to the federal capital territory (FCT)
As a matter of fact, quite a few of the rugas around Kuje, Lugbe and close to the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport are allegedly being used by bandits to store weapons. No one can really fault the assertion that Abuja FCT has now been surrounded by Fulani bandits from the 4 angles through the border states of Nassarawa, Kaduna, Niger and Kogi.
These criminal bandits hide guns, ammunition and other dangerous weapons in Ruga settlements around Abuja which they use for their kidnapping activities. The urgent need arises for the military, DSS and the police to conduct a thorough forensic audit of ALL Fulani Rugas around Abuja to smoke out these criminals and confiscate the large number of AK-47 and other weapons they hid in these Ruga make-shift, shanty, thatched-roof huts.
It is estimated that there are hundreds of AK-47 guns hidden in the Ruga shanty settlements around Abuja FCT.
Because of the relatively tighter security in the FCT, the bandits don’t move openly with guns as they do in Zamfara and other states. Also, the bandits don’t settle within the FCT because the likelihood of them being caught is very high. The option for them is to use existing Rugas in and around Abuja FCT as a camouflage.
The bandits’ modus operandi is to pick up an AK-47 from the Ruga, sneak into Abuja or it’s environs particularly Jabi airport road, Kuje, kubwa, Gwagwalada, Zuba/Suleja, Kwaita/Kwali, Bwari, Tungan Maje and kidnap innocent victims, then run back and keep the victims in the mountains and forests around the FCT. Hardly do these criminals keep captives in Rugas. They keep guns in Rugas but keep captives in the forests around the FCT.

A highly vulnerable part of Abuja is Gwarinpa with its mix of a cosmopolitan and semi-urban nature. Gwarinpa is sandwiched between the FCT and Kubwa/Dei Dei/Zuba axis to the west which makes it a perfect beehive for bandits to settle in and aim attacks at Abuja FCT.
The push by our gallant military against the bandits from Zamfara has forced the bandits on a free flow all over Nigeria. Part of the options for the bandits while moving out of Zamfara is Abuja which these criminals regards as ‘the final destination. Although, for a very long time, even before the Zamfara military onslaught, the bandits have been strategising for Abuja -and the reason for this cannot be far-fetched. The bandits feel there is enough money in Abuja for them to pursue.

These bandits have actually established a solid presence around Abuja for a very long time in the forests and in most of the Rugas around some parts of the FCT. It is fair to say that the military onslaught against these bandits particularly in Zamfara state has pushed them to pour enmasse into Abuja and the surrounding states of Nassarawa, Kogi and parts of Kaduna.
Niger state has been a hot bed of banditry for many years as the criminals connect into Niger state through the dreaded kamuku/Kuyambana forest in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna state. This notorious forest serves as a feeder-route into Niger, Kogi and other surrounding states as it receives a supply of criminals from Zamfara, Katsina states and the Niger republic.
A major source of worry is the ongoing alliance of convenience between the bandits and Boko haram. There is no doubting the fact that Boko haram has established bases around the fringes of Abuja and any alliance between Boko haram and Fulani bandits (and possibly Ansaru) could potentially make Abuja inhabitable and by extension, render Nigeria either fairly governable or extremely intractable.
In nearby Niger state, Boko haram is currently in control of 8 wards out of a total of 25 wards (1/3) of Shiroro local government area, as confirmed by the Niger state Governor Abubakar Sani Bello.
The scenario looks even more disturbing when juxtaposed with the fact that Shiroro local government area shares borders with Abuja FCT and is just 140 km away. A lot of the criminals that are holding Shiroro local government area hostage are actually Boko haram not Fulani bandits. To prove it is in charge, Boko haram recently announced that it had introduced a policy in all communities under its control in Niger state which requires 12 year old girls to get married.

It is also a fact that the notorious bandit leader Dogo Gide is operating on the fringes of the Kuyambana forest in Birnin Gwari which shares border with Niger state. Boko haram operating in Shiroro and the Fulani bandits operating on the fringes of Kuyambana forest brings the two criminal gangs closer to a full blown operational joint venture. Also recall that bandit Dogo Gide has pretentiously embraced a religious ideology as he is heard calling himself ‘Abu-Abdullah: the Arabic translation for ‘father of Abdullah’

The operational closeness of Boko haram and Fulani bandits is not only in Niger state but Nassarawa as well. The Nassarawa state Governor Abdullahi Sule has in January 2021 confirmed that Boko haram are now domiciled on the border between Nassarawa and Abuja FCT. Those elements of Boko haram who didn’t surrender to ISWAP are being pushed out of the North East and the most likely location for them to run to will be the North West/North Central axis which is also gradually turning into another Afghanistan.

Apart from Boko haram, there is also the dreaded Darussalam sect and Ansaru all in Nassarawa state. Ansaru operates between Nassarawa and Kogi states.
In a video that went viral early this year, an arrested Fulani kidnapper operating on the border between Nassarawa and Kogi states, confessed that his gang’s operational base shares a border with Boko haram. The notorious kidnapper in the video under reference also admitted that his gang has a joint venture with Boko haram for a mutual exchange of captives at a price. He further stated that whenever a ransom negotiation fails with the bandits, they sell the captives to Boko haram where they (the captives) are thought to be at the ‘point of no return’
By and large, the security agencies cannot afford to allow the deteriorating security situation in and around the FCT to degenerate. Our gallant military, the police and other security agencies are doing a lot to stop the march of the bandits into Abuja FCT but more needs to be done. Albeit the military has last week, debunked the claim that bandits have effectively surrounded Abuja FCT, the issue is more about being proactive rather than in a state of denial.

This shows us that these curses written in the Scriptures would identify who the children of Israel are because there would be no other way to identify them. Those who claim to be Jews (Ashkenazim) fail, in everyway, to fit the criteria but who does? (The so-called negro was cursed, both in the city and the field, because in the field he was a slave and after, he was placed in the impoverished slums or the city. Another example of this parable would be, when the so-called negro moves into the rural area (field), he is looked at as an Uncle Tom and a house negro by other “blacks” who may have grown up with him, because of his success. “Whites”, who occupied the neighborhood before him, have the general attitude that he doesn’t belong there because of his color, which also makes him more subject to harassment by the police. When he is in the poverty stricken ghetto (city), he is respected by others in the same position, but forced to live in a low state and a high crime area.

Dark skin is viewed as inferior or unbecoming all over the world; and prejudice against so-called Negroes is common all over the world. For years, scholars, theologians and archaeologist have debated the answer to the question, "How did the ancient Israelites look physically? Although the scriptures and other historical documents, have left a lot of evidence that confirms the physical appearance of the Israelites. Much of this information is still unknown to the masses. The popular belief today among christians, scholars and theologians, is the people known as "Ashkenazi Jews" are the direct descendants of the ancient Israelites. But, can this be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt?

The scriptures which will be used as our main source, supported by history and archaeology proves that these Jews are not the physical descendants of the ancient Hebrew Israelite nation. In addition it reveals who the true descendants are. The answer may leave you in shock.

Israel is mentioned in scripture over 2,500 times. The scriptures contain the Hebrews' entire history. In fact, no other people on the face of the earth have such an extensive recorded history, not even the ancient Egyptians. Every thing we need to know about the ancient Hebrews is contained in Scripture. Let's examine these facts, information that to this day remains unknown or hidden to many "bible" readers.

ISRAEL IN THE LAND OF EGYPT

The history of the Israelite nation began in Egypt, the land of Ham. They entered Egypt, 70 in number, (including Joseph, his wife and two sons who were already in Egypt), and left numbering over two million people. Ancient Israel spent 430 years in Egypt. For half that time they enjoyed good favour with the Egyptians, but for the remainder of those years they were enslaved and horribly mistreated by them.

One of the facts scripture gives us about Israel (Ysrayl), is in regard to their physical appearance. Throughout scripture Israel is described as physically looking like the sons of Ham (Khawm), in appearance.

Ham was one of Noah's three sons, Shem and Japheth were the other two. Noah's descendants repopulated the earth after the Great Flood. Ham's descendants are traced to the families of Africa. Ham (Khawm) in Hebrew means BLACK, HOT AND BURNT.
Ham had four sons,

1. CUSH (Ethiopians / Cushites & Nubians),
2. MIZRAIM (Egyptians / Khemet),
3. PHUT (Ancient Somalia),
4. CANAAN (Canaanite, the original inhabitants of the land of Israel) Genesis 10:6-19.

All four of Ham's sons and their descendants settled in and around the continent of Africa, this includes the so called Middle East which is also a part of the Continent of Africa. Ham sons are the people of the African continent, the Ancient Egyptians, Ethiopians, Somalia's, Canaanites etc etc.



The Israelites are descendants of Noah's son SHEM. Through Abraham, he is the father of the Hebrew Israelite Nation. Abraham is the father of Isaac, Isaac is the father of Jacob, Jacob had twelve sons and these sons are the progenitors of the Israelite nation. The Twelve tribes of Israel are as follows:

Each one of Jacob's sons became a tribal nation which made up the greater nation of Israel. EXAMPLE: Reuben's descendants became known as the tribe of Reuben. Judah's descendants became known as the tribe of Judah and so on and so forth. The nation of Israel are the descendants of Jacob who's name was changed to Israel by the Most High (Gen 32:28).

We will begin with the story of Jacob's second Youngest son Joseph, and his time in Egypt. Joseph was one of the twelve sons of Jacob (Yaaqob in Hebrew). Jacob sired Joseph in his old age, and he was clearly his favorite son. This caused Joseph's brothers to become jealous of him.


Ultimately, their jealousy resulted in Joseph being sold by Arab merchants as a slave to Egyptians.

Over the course of time Joseph became Viceroy (Governor) of Egypt and was second in command to Pharaoh in authority. There was a famine in Canaan, where Jacob and his sons lived. (Pharaoh had a dream which Joseph interpreted. His dream told of the forthcoming famine and gave Egypt an opportunity to prepare by storing food.) So, Jacob sent his ten sons to Egypt to buy bread. When Joseph's ten brothers came into Egypt they were brought before him. Joseph recognized his brothers, but they didn't recognize him (Genesis 42:1-.

Since the ancient Egyptians were a black people, Joseph had to be black also. If Joseph and the Hebrews look like Donny Osmond (He portrayed Joseph in a Stage Play), his brothers would have recognized him easily among the "black" Egyptians. But Joseph's own flesh and blood brothers knew he was an Egyptian or black.

The ancient Egyptians of Joseph time were indeed what we know today as "black", this is a fact attested to by many.

Gerald Massey, English writer and author of the book, Egypt the Light of the World, wrote, "The dignity is so ancient that the insignia of the Pharaoh evidently belonged to the time when Egyptians wore nothing but the girdle of the Negro." (p 251)

Sir Richard Francis Burton, a 19th century English explorer, writer and linguist in 1883 wrote to Gerald Massey, "You are quite right about the "AFRICAN" origin of the Egyptians. I have 100 human skulls to prove it."

Scientist, R. T. Prittchett, states in his book The Natural History of Man, "In their complex and many of the complexions and in physical peculiarities the Egyptians were an "AFRICAN" race (p 124-125).

The Ancient Greek historian Herodotus, who visited Egypt in the 5th century B.C.E., saw the Egyptians face to face and described them as black-skinned with woolly hair.

Anthropologist, Count Constatin de Volney (1727-1820),spoke about the race of the Egyptians that produced the Pharaohs. He later paid tribute to Herodotus' discovery when he said:





The ancient Egyptians were true Negroes of the same type as all native born Africans. That being so, we can see how their blood mixed for several centuries with that of the Romans and Greeks, must have lost the intensity of it's original color, while retaining none the less the imprint of it's original mold. We can even state as a general principle that the face (referring to The Sphinx) is a kind of monument able, in many cases, to attest to or shed light on historical evidence on the origins of the people."

The fact that the ancient Egyptians were black-skin prompted Volney to make the following statement:
"What a subject for meditation, just think that the race of black men today our slaves and the object of our scorn, is the very race to which we owe our arts, science and even the use of our speech."




The testimony of the ancients, the scriptures, and many Egyptologists, along with archaeology confirms that the Egyptians during ancient times were a "BLACK" PEOPLE. This is important to know, as we continue, we'll see that the scriptures on multiple occasions describes the ancient Hebrews as looking like the Egyptians in physical appearance.

Next, in Genesis chapter 50 verses 7-11, scripture will describes ALL the Hebrews as looking like the ancient Egyptians.

After Jacob died in the land of Egypt, all the Hebrews and Egyptians went down to the land of Canaan to bury him (he asked his son to bury him in the land of Canaan with his forefathers Genesis 49:29-30).

Verses 7-8, states that all the elders of Pharaoh's house and all the elders of the land of Egypt along with all the Hebrews (except for their small children) went down.
VERSE 9 says, "It was a very great company."
VERSE 11 says, that the Canaanites saw the funeral procession and said "THIS IS A GRIEVOUS MOURNING TO THE EGYPTIANS".

But, remember this was a mixed multitude of Hebrews and Egyptians going to bury a HEBREW, and the Canaanites identified them both as Egyptians. WHY? Because, the Canaanites saw a great company of black-skinned people who all look like native (black) Egyptians. It's only logic that the Hebrews were mourning the hardest in the "funeral" procession for our father Jacob, and this is who the Canaanites saw. When they describe this great mourning for Jacob the Hebrew, they saw Israelites mourning the greatest, and they thought these Hebrews were Egyptians.

If the Hebrews were a white people, as we have been led to believe, the Canaanites who were familiar with both the Hebrews and Egyptians would have acknowledged them both by saying, "THIS IS A GRIEVOUS MOURNING TO THE EGYPTIANS AND HEBREWS." Without doubt white Hebrews would have stuck out like a sore thumb among the black Egyptians. The Canaanites never Identified the Hebrews separately from the Egyptians.

The scripture goes on to say that the Canaanites named the place where they saw this great mourning for a HEBREW, Abel Mizraim, which means the meadow of Egypt/Mizraim or Mourning of the Egyptians.

Now let's go to the greatest and most famous story about the Israelites sojourn in the land of Egypt. This would be the story of Moses (Musa).

Many years after the death of Joseph, His brothers and all that generation that entered Egypt during the time he was viceroy. The Hebrew population in Egypt grew tremendously. Because of this, they were no longer looked upon as friendly neighbors, as the Egyptians now considered them hostile enemies and enslaved them.

Because of the Hebrew population growth, the Egyptians decided they would impose upon them their own form of birth control. Pharaoh made a decree that all Hebrew baby boys were to be killed at birth.

Exodus 1:22 And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

This brings us directly to the story of Moses.

Moses was born a Hebrew - Israelite from the tribe of Levi (Exodus 2:1-3). He spent 40 years in the house of Pharaoh (Acts 7:23) and was raised as the Pharaoh's Grandson


Exodus 2: 10 And the child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

Many Scholars say the Pharaoh who was on the throne of Egypt at the time of Moses' birth, was Pharaoh Seti I. He was the father of Rameses II, also known as Rameses the Great.

George Rawlinson, an English author wrote a book entitled 'History of Egypt". On page 252, he gives a description of Seti I. He states: "SETI'S FACE WAS THOROUGHLY AFRICAN. HE HAD A STORMY FACE WITH A DEPRESSED FLAT NOSE, THICK LIPS AND HEAVY CHIN."

Moses had the same physical characteristics because again, he was raised in the house of Pharaoh, as the grandson of Pharaoh, when Pharaoh ordered all Hebrew males to be killed at birth. If the Israelites were a white-skinned people, how could Moses the Hebrew survive (secretly) in the house of Pharaoh among black-skinned Egyptians for 40 years, and not be noticed.

Furthermore, after giving the decree (himself) to kill all Hebrew males, how could Pharaoh face and rule over his people, if he knowingly had one living in his house with all the rights and privileges of his own family? Moses survived 40 years in the palace of Pharaoh because he was a black man just as the Egyptians were.

Pharaoh looked into the eyes of Moses as a baby and thought this was his own flesh and blood. He looked into the eyes of Moses as a teenager and thought this was his own flesh and blood. He looked into the eyes of Moses as a young man in his 20's and 30's and thought this was his own flesh and blood. Pharaoh saw Moses grow into a man of 40 and he thought this was his own flesh and blood grandson.

Just as Joseph's brothers and the Canaanite couldn't tell the Hebrews from the Egyptians. Pharaoh couldn't either, or Moses would have been killed instantly.

THE TRUTH -VS- THE LIE

Scripture tells us that Moses killed an Egyptian, after he saw him mistreating a Hebrew. So Moses had to flee from Egypt for his life, because Pharaoh found out and sought to kill him (Exodus 2:12-15). Pharaoh was trying to kill Moses because he found out Moses was a Hebrew and not his flesh and blood grandson.

Moses fled to the land of Midian (located in Saudi Arabia) where he helped seven daughters of the priest of Midian water their flock, after chasing away some bully shepherds. The girls went home to their father, Reuel and told him what happened.

Exodus 2:16-19

16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.

17 And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

18 And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that you come so soon to day?

19 And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.

Notice they didn't say a Hebrew in Egyptian clothing saved us, but they described Moses as a black-skinned descendant of Ham (Egyptian).

AND THEY SAID AN EGYPTIAN DELIVERED US

This is a statue of the boy king (King Tut), this statue was found in his tomb, among many of his treasures in Egypt, during an archaeological excavation in 1922. Scholars say king Tut was on the throne of Egypt, a few years before the Israelites' Exodus.

This also is a newly reconstructed image of the ancient Egyptian Queen Nefertiti. She is one of the most famous queens of Egypt. This image was constructed from her skeleton. The same method used to reconstructed King Tut was used to make this image of Queen Nefertit. This picture comes from an article that was feature in the USA today newspaper. It also is on the Discovery.com website. As you can see Nefertiti was a black skinned woman. She looks like today's East Africans and "African Americans".

Her facial feature and skin tone is exactly the same as the Ancient Egyptians. The Ancient Egyptians & HEBREWS were From North East Africa just as Iman is. she looks like the Image of Nefertit above. Remember the Somalians are blood brothers to the Egyptians, both are descendnats of Noah's son Ham

Our point for showing her is, some will try to make the argument that all black skinned people on the continent of Africa have jet black skin and super wide noses etc. This sister was born in Africa and she looks like an Ancient Egyptian. The Ancient Egyptians were a black people and so were the Hebrews.


Further proof that Moses was "black" can be found in Exodus 4:6-7, In this passage, Yahweh (The Creator's name in Hebrew) is showing Moses miracles so that he can prove to the children of Israel who sent him. Yahweh tells Moses to put his hand into his bosom, which he does. When he takes his hand out, it is LEPROUS (White) as snow.

Exodus 4:6 And Yahweh said furthermore to him, Put now your hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.

Verse 7 says, Yahweh told Moses to put his hand back into his bosom, and it turned as his other flesh, meaning that the rest of his body (skin) was other than white or the opposite of white, which is black.

7 And He said, Put your hand into your bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

If Moses was already white-skinned, what would have been the miracle in turning the skin of his hand white?

But, since Moses and the rest of the Hebrews were a black skinned people, this would have been a very powerful sign, to turn his hand (skin) the opposite color of the rest of his flesh.

Yahweh goes on to say in Verse 8 that if they (the Israelites) don't believe in the first sign (turning Moses rod into a serpent) then they will believe in the second sign which was changing his skin white. Yahweh is stating how powerful the second sign is, it will make believers out of the stiff neck Israelites.

Exodus 4: 8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe you, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

HOLLYWOOD VERSION OF MOSES AND THE
PHARAOH RAMESES II
From what history has taught us concerning the Hebrews physical appearance, it is apparent that the Hollywood depiction of Moses is at the very least inaccurate, and at the most could be viewed as a racist misrepresentation.

According to scripture, history and archaeology Moses did not or could not look like Charleston Heston.

In the book of Numbers, chapter 12 verse 1, Moses' sister and brother, Miriam and Aaron spoke out against him because he married an Ethiopian woman, (not because she was black skinned, but because she was of another culture / Nation, read Acts 10:28 their behavior angered Yah. Verse 10 says, He TURNED MIRIAM LEPROUS, WHITE AS SNOW. Once again if Miriam, who was a Hebrew, was white to begin with, what would have been the curse of turning a white skinned person white? Yahweh was angry with her, he showed his anger by turning her white with leprosy. If she was already white, why not turn her Jet Black?

Miriaim was a black women, and Yahweh showed his displeasure with her, by changing her skin color from black to white. This was so powerful that it shocked her brother Aaron.

Numbers 12:9 And the anger of Yahweh was kindled against them; and he departed.

10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous (white).

11 And Aaron said to Moses, Alas, my Master, I beseech you, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.

12 Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb.

Miriam did not look like these young women.


From Scripture, History & Archaeology, we should understand that the images below are a more accurate description of the Hebrew Israelite Miriam.


It is an established fact that the Hebrew Scriptures always mentioned leprosy in the context of the skin turning white because of a disease or in relationship to some specific wrong doing.

Leviticus 13:2 states:

"When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a scab, or bright spot and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy. Then he shall be brought to Aaron, the priest, or to one of the sons of the priest".

verse 4: If the bright spot be WHITE in the skin of his flesh, the priest shall shut up him that has the plague seven days.

Verse 6: And the priest shall look on him again the seventh day: and behold, if the plague be somewhat DARK, and the plague spread not in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him clean: it is but a scab; and he shall wash his clothes and be clean".

In the 2nd and 4th verse a bright or white spot in the skin is mentioned. A bright spot means a spot that is lighter than the regular dark brown / black skin. Moses said in the sixth verse: "And the priest shall look on him again the seventh day, and behold if the plague be somewhat dark, and the plague spread not in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him clean..."

This is because the skin is getting darker like his original skin tone. A black skinned man or woman with these spots covering some part of their body is a partial leper. However, once the plague of the whiteness has covered his entire body from his head to his feet, the leper is clean. He has completely changed his color like the albino. The people who had this form of leprosy in the scriptures CAN BE classified as albino, and these albinos are the only white skinned Hebrews that existed in ancient times, they were the minority.

If Israel was a white skinned people in ancient times, why does the Scriptures only speak of them as TURNING WHITE OR BECOMING WHITE WITH LEPROSY (in reference to their skin color).

2 Kings 5:27 The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave to thee, and to your seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.


VITILIGO
Here are a couple pictures of two people with a disease called Vitiligo, which is somewhat similar to the above mentioned form of scriptural leprosy. The top picture is that of a white-skin person with vitiligo. A white skinned person with this disease may start to notice the spots in their skin after they have gotten a tan, otherwise the white spots from vitiligo can go unnoticed.


This picture is a black skinned person with vitiligo. The white spots can be seen on black skin as soon as they appear. Notice how "white" the hands of the black-skinned person are compared to their original skin tone, which can still be seen. The hands of this black skinned person are now white as snow. This is how Moses "probably" would have seen his hands after removing it from his bosom. Singer, Michael Jackson says this is the same disease that turned his skin from dark brown to white.

"Black" MAN turns "WHITE".
This picture is a black skinned man who took a pill for his liver condition, and the pill turned his skin from black to white. Although most of his skin has turned white you can still see the dark patches on his face. Notice how dramatic that is, this is how the people who had biblical leprosy would have looked.

This picture comes from an article called "Liver Pill turns black man white". Here is a very profound quote from the article: " In Mr. Kahsay's homeland, he is shunned as a leper, as white pigment is considered a sign of the disease". He is considered a leper or a person with leprosy in his homeland of Eritrea, because his skin has turned white.

Acts 21:37-38, states that Paul, (Shaul in Hebrew) the apostle, was being led into a castle by a chief captain. Paul spoke to the chief in Greek, asking permission to speak with him. The chief captain was surprised that Paul could speak Greek and in verse 38, asks Paul, "Are not you that EGYPTIAN?" Paul responded, (Verse 39) "I am a man of Israel (Hebrew)."

37 And as Paul was to be led into the castle, he said unto the chief captain, May I speak unto thee? Who said, Can you speak Greek?

38 So you are not that Egyptian, which before these days made an uproar, and led out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers?

39 But Paul said, I am a man of Israel (Hebrew) of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.

In order for this chief captain to mistake Paul (the Hebrew) for a black-skinned Egyptian, Paul had to look like an Egyptian, as scripture tells us the whole nation of Israel did. Paul had to tell the chief captain he was an Israelite. Once again we see from Scripture that it is hard to physically identify a Hebrew from an Egyptian.

In the book of Matthew 2:13, the angel of Yahweh told Joseph to arise and take the young child Yahushua, (The Messiah’s true Hebrew name is Yahushua) and his mother Mary (Miriam) and FLEE INTO EGYPT. He was told to stay there until he received further instructions, because Herod would seek the young child to destroy him.

13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of Yahweh appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring you word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

Joseph, Miriam and Yahushua were told to flee into Egypt, not for military protection, because during this time, Egypt was a Roman province under Roman control. They fled into Egypt because Egypt was still a "black" country, populated by a majority of black-skinned people (Egyptians). Joseph, Miriam and Yahushua would have been just another black-skinned family among many. Remember, they fled into Egypt to HIDE from Herod who was seeking to kill Yahushua.

If Yahushua and the rest of the Hebrews looked like these pictures of the "Christian Christ". It would have been hard for him to hide in Egypt (among the black Egyptians) and not be noticed.

NOTE: the above fact about Yahushua hiding in Egypt was attested to by a biblical scholar (DR. MARK GOODACRE) on a BBC produced program in 2001.

The Program was called 'THE COMPLETE JESUS'. Dr. Mark Goodacre (pictured) stated, it would have been hard for Yahushua to hide among the Egyptians, if he didn’t look like the Egyptians. He was making the point that Yahushua could not have been a man of white hue. He admitted in the program that Yahushua was a dark /black skinned man.

HERE IS HIS EXACT QUOTE FROM THE PROGRAM ENTITLED "THE COMPLETE JESUS".
“Now it’s very unlikely that Jesus would have been able to be HIDDEN in Egypt, if he had a very different color of SKIN from the people in Egypt.”

He also made mention that the Israelites of the first to third centuries wore their hair in Afro's, and wore short crop black beards. This is only the tip of the iceberg, you can't hold down the truth.

Now back to our lesson.

Herod was put on the throne of Israel by the Romans. Egypt was under Roman dominion. All Herod had to do was check with the Roman officials in Egypt to find out if there were any Hebrews with baby boys around. But, since the Hebrews and the Egyptians looked the same physically, it would have been hard to single out a Hebrew family among the native "black" ancient Egyptians.

As was mentioned, the ancient Egyptians were the descendants of Noah's son, Khawm, or Ham in English. Khawm means black, hot and burnt. The ancient Egyptians called their land and themselves Khemet, which in their tongue means "THE LAND OF BLACKS." The word Khemet is nothing but a variation on the word Khawm in the language of ancient Egypt.

In Psalm 78:51, Egypt is called "The House of ham (Khawm)."

"...AND SMOTE ALL THE FIRSTBORN IN EGYPT; THE TABERNACLES (HOUSE) OF HAM (KHAWM)."

Psalm 105:23,27 -- 23 "ISRAEL ALSO CAME INTO EGYPT; AND SOJOURNED IN THE LAND OF HAM (KHAWM)."

Verse 27 "THEY SHOWED HIS SIGNS AMONG THEM, AND WONDERS IN THE LAND OF HAM (KHAWM)."

The scriptures calls Egypt the land of Khawm, and remember one of the meanings of Khawm is black, the Scripture is calling Egypt "The Land of Black" which is what Khemet means. Egypt is called the Land of Khawm because the Egyptians were descendants of Noah's son Khawm.
This is more than likely the reason they called themselves Khemet. Scripture supports the fact that the Egyptians were a black-skinned people.


The Two Pictures above are Pharaoh Mentuhotep II (on the left) and his Daughter Princess Aushead. The drawing of Aushead was taken from her father's tomb, the statue of Pharaoh Mentuhotep II was also found in his tomb. Once again this is how the Egyptians of ancient times, physically looked.

In the book of Amos chapter 9: we will now see Israel being compared to Ham (Khawm) first born son Cush / Ethiopians.

Verse 7 says "ARE YOU NOT AS CHILDREN OF THE ETHIOPIANS UNTO ME, O CHILDREN OF ISRAEL?"...

In this Verse, the Israelites are being called children of the Ethiopians by Yahweh (the God of Israel). The Ethiopians are a known black people, and the most high is calling Israel, their children. How much sense would it make to call a white skinned people, CHILDREN OF THE ETHIOPIANS? The majority of "Jews" today are white-skin. if ancient Israel were a white skinned people, wouldn't it make more sense to compare them to a white skin nation. This verse does not say,
"ARE YOU NOT AS CHILDREN OF THE ROMANS / GREEKS / GENTILES UNTO ME O CHILDREN OF ISRAEL?"
It clearly compares Israel with a black skinned people. The reason for this is simple. Israel was and is a black people, and the majority of them still are.

That verse also coincides with Acts 8: 26-36. When the angel of Yahweh spoke to the apostle, Philip saying:

"Arise go toward the south."

Verse 27: "...And he arose and went: and behold, a man of ETHIOPIA an eunuch of great authority... who had come to Jerusalem for to WORSHIP."

In verse 29, The Spirit tells Phillip to go and JOIN HIMSELF TO THE CHARIOT OF THIS ETHIOPIAN.

Verse 30, tells us that Philip heard him reading SCRIPTURE (Hebrew Scripture) about Yahushua, (erroneously called Jesus) which he didn't understand.

In verses 34-36, Philip explains the meaning of the scripture and then preaches Yahshuah to him,

and in verse 38, Phillip Immerses (baptizes) him.

Let's analyze these verses.

First, this "Ethiopian" was coming to Jerusalem to worship.

In those days only the Hebrews came to Jerusalem for worship, because this is where the Temple of Yahweh stood, making Jerusalem the spiritual home of all Hebrews (2nd Chronicles 6:6 - 7:16).

Hebrews continued to come to Jerusalem to worship, up until the time of the Roman destruction in 70 C.E. As a matter of fact, Many Hebrews were worshiping at the temple while the Romans were breaking down the walls of Jerusalem about to lay siege to it.

Second, this Ethiopian had Hebrew Scriptures in his possession.

In those days the scriptures were still considered sacred, and remained in the possession of the Hebrews, not everyone had access to Scripture, as we do today. Hebrews, whether abroad or in the land, were the primary owners of Scripture in those days.

Third, the Ethiopian was Immersed (baptized) by Phillip.

All these facts prove that this Ethiopian was a Hebrew, according to what Peter said in Acts 10:28:

"You know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Hebrew TO KEEP COMPANY OR COME UNTO ONE OF ANOTHER NATION."

If the Hebrews thought it was unlawful to keep company with those of another nation, why would Philip go and keep company with this Ethiopian, if indeed he was from a entirely different nation? Philip didn't even try to argue with the spirit, when he was told to go and teach this Ethiopian. The reason for that is:

The Ethiopian was a Hebrew who lived in Ethiopia. Making him what we know as a Ethiopian Hebrew.

As stated previously, it is a known fact that the Ethiopians are a black-skinned people. The name Ethiopian comes from the Greek word Aethiops which means burnt face. This was a title the ancient Greeks gave to the people who lived south of Egypt because they were closer to the equator than the Egyptians. Their hue on an average was a little darker than the Egyptians.

This Hebrew was not called Ethiopian just because he lived in Ethiopia, but because he also looked like a black-skinned Ethiopian. To this very day, there are many black-skinned Hebrews who live or have lived in Ethiopia in the past. Today many of them are known as the "Falasha" or Beta Yisrael.

So far we have not seen where scripture likens Israel to any white-skinned nations as it relates to physical appearance. This is very important to understand because many of the people who are called Jews today are white- skinned and come from Europe.

These white skinned Jews make up the majority of the Jews in Israel and in the world. This is not a racist or "anti-Semitic" statement.

Above are pictures of Falasha (Ethiopian Hebrews) who were living in Ethiopia. Falasha means "immigrant", in the language of the native Agau people of Ethiopia. It also means "stranger" in Amharic. This name is considered to be a racial slur to the Ethiopian Hebrews. They call themselves Beta Yisrael which means House of Ysrayl or Israel, and until recently lived as a community in Ethiopia. In fact they lived there for the past 3,000 years. This is probably where that Hebrew Ethiopian who Philip taught came from. Beta Ysrayl also say they are from the tribe of Dan.

For further proof of the color of the ancient Israelites lets look at Acts 13:1:

"Now there were in the assembly that was at Antioch certain PROPHETS AND TEACHERS: as Barnabas, and SIMEON THAT WAS CALLED NIGER, AND LUCIUS OF CYRENE, and Manaen which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Shaul (Paul)".

The word Niger is a Latin word that means BLACK, and Cyrene is a city in Libya, which is located in North Africa. Historians and scholars both agree that the city of Cyrene was a black area, meaning it was heavily populated with black skin-people in "biblical" times. Cyrene is also the place where Simon, the man who helped Yahushua carry the (stake) was from (Matt. 27:32, Mark 15:21, Luke 23:26). Many acknowledge that Simon (the stake bearer) was a "black" man.

This man who was called Niger wasn't called black because he was the only black- skinned person there. He was called black because his hue was maybe darker than the rest of the prophets and teachers. Much like in the "African American" community, when one of the brothers or sisters have a skin tone that is darker than the rest, they sometimes give that person a nick name that describes his color. If the person's name is Michael they may refer to him as Black Mike, or they may call him Black, even though, they are all black-skinned. He's been given a FRIENDLY nick name which describes him. This is why Simeon was called Niger or black.

Scripture confirms in Acts 13:1, that there were black-skinned men who were prophets and teachers at the assembly in Antioch. But, we must understand that the Hebrews were not dealing with any other people or racial group at this time, other than scattered Israel. It is written in Acts 11:19:

"Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen, traveled As far as Phenice and Cyprus, and Antioch, PREACHING THE WORD TO NONE BUT THE HEBREWS ONLY".

This was before the apostles ministries to the Gentiles at large started, so why were these "black" men there, if the Hebrews were a white people? Simple, they were Hebrews, just like Paul who was also there with them in the assembly in Antioch. Remember Paul was mistaken for a "black" Egyptian. Niger and LUCIUS were prophets and teachers, and as scripture shows us, all the prophets and teachers were Hebrews.

Now, we will refer to a few historical sources that are also in agreement with scripture about the physical appearance of the Hebrews. The Romans who knew the Hebrews well, had this to say about their physical appearance.

A Roman historian named Tacitus who lived about C.E. 90 said, "Many assert that the Hebrews are an RACE OF ETHIOPIAN ORIGINS."

Once again, we have the Hebrews compared to one of HAM’S black-skinned descendants. Historian and scholar, J.A. Rogers commented, "For the Romans to have considered them Ethiopians is a clear indication of their color, because the Ethiopians are a known black people". Tacitus also said that the Hebrews were Egyptians , who left Egypt during a disease outbreak.

The Roman Emperor, Justinian the Great, who ruled basically from 527 - 564 C.E., 500 years after the time of Yahshuah, had engraved on a coin, the image of Yahushua with woolly / kinky hair and "BLACK" features. On the obverse side of the coin there is an image of Justinian but with straight hair.

The Cambridge Encyclopedia has this particular listing about that image on the coin.

"Whatever the fact, this coin, with the straight haired Justinian on the obverse side, places beyond doubt the belief that "Jesus" was a Negro (black-skinned)."

Now, lets go back to the scripture for more information that proves the Hebrews were a black-skinned nation.

Lamentations 5:10 reads:

"OUR SKIN WAS BLACK LIKE AN OVEN BECAUSE OF THE TERRIBLE FAMINE."

Notice, it says here that the Hebrews' skin was black like an oven or charcoal black, because of the famine. When the Jews were in concentration camps in Europe during WWII, many of them were starved or in famine. Footage of them in the camps, show that their skin turned pale white. The same is true of the people in Kosov, they were in famine and their skin turned pale white, because they are also a white-skinned people. But pictures of starving people in Africa, show that their skin turns jet black or darker than its original hue.

When brown or black skinned people don't eat for a long period of time or get sick, they get darker. When white or lighter skinned people get sick or don't eat, they turn pale. In this verse of Lamentations, the prophet, Jeremiah clearly was describing a black skinned-people.

In many places throughout scriptures it mentions that the Israelites wore their hair in locks. Locks or some call them dread locks is when the hair locks together and grows. The Jamaicans known as Rastafarians wear their hair in long locks.

Numbers 6:5 All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto Yah, he shall be holy, and shall let the LOCKS of the hair of his head grow.

Judges 16:13 And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest the seven LOCKS of my head with the web.

19 And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven LOCKS of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.

African hair in it's natural state is like the wool of a lamb. If a "black" person doesn't cut or comb their hair, it will eventually lock together (This is why they are called "LOCKS". When their hair naturally lock, the hair forms giant matt's at random all over the head. Most of the time you will only get 7 or eight locks just as it says Samson had. Samson NEVER CUT HIS HAIR, he let it grow and it was left "unkempt" and it grew into locks, just as the Jamaican brothers do their hair.

If Samson the Israelite was a white skin person with "white hair texture" his hair would have grown straight and long, but not locked together. The Scriptures says he had 7 locks, it is very rare for a white person to get locks naturally. The scripture is showing us that Samson the Israelite was a "black" man.

THE TRUTH -VS- THE LIE



Scripture says Samson the Israelite had seven locks on his head.

The image above is what Samson would have looked like. This Jamaican Israelite has natural locks. Notice he has about 7-9 locks. He has a long beard which is the exactly what Samson would have had. This brother is in good physical shape, just as Samson was. According to what is written in Scripture the image of this Jamaican is an accurate detail image of the Hebrew Israelite Samson.

Many believe this white man is an accurate image of Samson. According to the truth it can't be. Notice his hair, WHERE ARE THE SEVEN LOCKS? WHERE IS HIS BEARD? Samson was not to bring a razor upon his head, this includes his face.

5:2 I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my LOCKS with the drops of the night.

11 His head is as the most fine gold, his LOCKS are bushy, and black as a raven.

All the preceding information is sufficient proof that the ancient Israelites were a black people / nation. Now, we must go one more step, and prove that they were a black skinned people from the beginning of their history, beginning with Abraham. Abraham is the father of the Hebrew Israelite nation.

He was the first to be called Hebrew. (Genesis 14:13) He came from Ur of the Chaldeans, (Genesis 11:31) which is in the country of Iraq today.

Godfrey Higgins, a reliable English antiquary says, "The Chaldeans were originally Negroes".

Professor Rudolph Windsor is in total agreement with this, which he states in his very noteworthy book, FROM BABYLON TO TIMBUKTU. He writes, "The Chaldeans and the other People of that region were Jet Black in their complexion."

The root word of Ur which is ORR means fire oven. The average temperatures in that region is 125 degrees. this is where the ancient Sumerian civilization began. The Sumerians called themselves "Saggig", which means "black headed ones", because they shaved their heads. The ancient Chaldeans were their cousins.

Abraham father Terah, was a relative of Nimrod. He was a merchant who sold idols in the city of Ur. It's a widely known fact that Nimrod was the son of Cush. Cush is the progenitor of the Nubians / Ethiopians, and the Nubians are a black skinned people. So, this means that Nimrod was also black. Abraham came from this part of the world, which in his day was overwhelmingly populated with black skinned people. This is not surprising because in that region the average temperature was 120 degrees. This means that the people in that part of the world had to have large amounts of melanin in their skin, which means they were very dark skinned.


Dr. Charles S. Finch III, M.D. says in his book "Echoes of the Old Darkland", on pages 5, & 32,
"We know from the fate of albinos all over Africa that unprotected skin (light skin) is subject to grotesque, disfiguring cancers that are soon fatal." "Melanin, the substance that gives the skin a dark brown or black pigment, by absorbing ultra violet radiation and scattering the ions produced, protects the skin from cancer".
So, for Abraham to have come from that part of the world, he had to have very dark / black-skin.


NOTE: An army soldier recently serving in the United States Army and who had been serving in the Iraqi war, said he was in Iraq around the area where Abraham was from. He mentioned the sights of the land. The first thing he spoke about was the heat, he said it’s 125 degrees average. He mentioned that some of the white soldiers were being burned so badly by the sun that they could hardly walk. He said they had to have special covering sometimes. But the thing that struck us, was he said "THE NATIVES OF THE LAND WERE SO BLACK THAT THEY LOOKED LIKE US (“AFRICAN AMERICANS”)". In fact he went on to say that he "THOUGHT THEY WERE US (African Americans)." The people from the Iraqi town of Basra are black skinned and look like "African Americans".

SHEM'S OTHER BLACK SKINNED SONS FROM THE REGION OF UR

It is a must that we fully identify Israel including their appearance, because so much have been written about these people, but at the same time, so little is actually known about them. We have just highlighted one particular fact about the biblical Israelites.

And that fact is: THEY WERE A BLACK SKINNED PEOPLE, but this one fact alone does not fully identify who the true children of Israel are today. There are millions upon millions of black skinned people, and many "black" nations. The Hebrews were just one black skinned people among many black-skinned nations.

(NOTE: Whenever we make mention of black-skinned people we are referring to the people who are known as "Africans" and "Blacks", whose skin has the darkest pigmentation of all mankind. Their skin tones range from light brown to the darkest black hue, and this even includes some who are known as Indians.)

Some will try to make the argument that, "if the original Hebrews were "black" they didn't remain that way, because the Hebrews mixed with many different people".

True, the Hebrews did some mixing with other's, due to the many captivities they suffered. But that didn't change the racial make up of ancient Israel.

Because the Hebrews were black skinned people their genes would have carried the dominate trait.

Black hair,+ dark eyes + dark skin = dominate traits.

Light hair,+ light eyes + light skin = recessive traits.

The recessive can come from the dominate, but the dominate cannot come from the recessive, or the lighter one can come from the darker one, but the darker can not come from the lighter.

This is a scientific fact, so if the Hebrews mixed with other people of lighter hues, the offspring would have come out looking like Hebrews with a bit lighter hue, than the Hebrew parent. If they mixed with others of the same or darker hue, the offspring would have continue to look like the Hebrew Israelites.

This is why the Egyptians ordered the Hebrew males to be killed and not the female. Because, the Egyptian males could impregnate the Hebrew females, and produce offspring which were still black-skinned, and still possessing the physical characteristics of the Egyptians. Remember there were no physical differences between the Hebrews and the Egyptians.

"African Americans" have mixed seed with the various racial groups of the Americas for over 400 years. But they are still known as a black skinned people / race. They have mixed with various European, Indian, and Hispanic racial groups and yet, their racial make up has remained unchanged. One of the reasons for this is that our genes carry the dominate traits.

Consider, for a moment the children of mixed parents, one black parent and one white. The child will have more traits of the black skinned parent than of the white skinned one. The hair texture of the offspring, skin color and facial features, will be closer to that of the "Black" parent. Sometimes it's impossible to even tell that the offspring is of mixed parentage, because the child looks like he/she was conceived by two black parents.

A good example of this would be superstar golfer, TIGER WOODS. He is black and Asian (Thai). The actress HALLE BERRY is also biracial. However, they look no different from any other "black" person you might see walking down the street. And this is how it was with ancient Israel.


Note: Israel didn't mix TOO MUCH because of their spiritual beliefs, which is evidenced in the story of Moses in Numbers 12 and also with Peter in Acts 10.

As previously shown, even the Brit Chadashah (New Testament) proves that Israel was a black- skinned people. The Brit Chadashah (New Testament) came about after Israel's first captivities, and before their last great captivity. The Scriptures show without a doubt in both (christian) Old and New Testament times that Israel was a black-skinned people. But again, the fact that Israel was a "Black" people does not fully identify who they were and still are today. We must return to the scriptures for more information and discernment.
