I read about this sometime ago.

The Federal Government yesterday signed an agreement with the Lagos Business School for the training of Nigerians in the field of entrepreneurship.

The programme titled Grooming Enterprise Leadership will be financed by the World Bank.

The Minister of Finance, Olusegun Aganga, signed on behalf of Nigeria.

The agreement commits the Entrepreneurship Development Centre of the Pan African University, Lagos, to train Nigerians who want to go into business, on the basics of entrepreneurship.

The essence is to help them transform their business ideas into bankable projects that could be financed from the formal sector.

This strategic intervention shall build the capacity of at least 1,000 businesses in the micro, small and medium enterprise sector across the nation’s six geo-political zones by December, 2011.

The EDC shall work with 23 business incubation centers across the nation to train the budding entrepreneurs. Besides training, it shall work on the creation of clusters for these enterprises which will provide shared services and reduce their individual running costs.

On completion of their training which is expected to take about five months, these entrepreneurs shall be eligible to apply for the SME intervention fund with the Bank of Industry.

The minister of finance had last year announced the establishment of a $500 million intervention fund, by the Federal Government for SMEs. The fund domiciled with the Bank of Industry, goes to SMEs at single digit interest rate.

Now that you’re young, be open to new ideas, and question the status quo. Because, fifteen-twenty years later, you may not have the same drive as you do now.

It’s clear people don’t buy everything Google does, but what do we buy? Googlers are crazy enough to try a lot of things. Buzz and Wave flopped, while Instant has saved humanity almost one million hours each day with faster search. Their Nexus One phone flopped, while the Android took off, selling even faster than the iPhone.They rent goats to mow their lawns and created a driverless car.Google is full of opportunists, tinkerers and experimental designers.

Is there a method to their madness that we don’t see? Friends, i tell you yes! In an age when no business can rest on its laurels for very long, they recognize their next big hit will be a product innovation far from their current business (Search).

This car idea is great, and no auto industry whose only concern is their bottom line can develop this amazing piece of machinery. I commend Google for their ability to run a giant, successful company while simultaneously encouraging employees to pursue a passion for invention without fear of being shut down by management.

Don't be locked down in the corporate world out there where inventions and innovations don't happen. Like Google, smart out your time, energy and maybe money innovating the next change even if people don't buy all. You next big winner might not be related to anything you're currently doing.

@afrobaby. I think it is your definition of help that is causing this misunderstanding. After discussing with the company i represent here, i have decided to modify the post so that we don't get confused.

Actually a minimum investment of N7,500.00 is not a huge amount for an unemployed youth. Most job seekers spend an average of N10,000.00 a month searching the web for job offers and attending interviews.

Also as with reseller programs across the world, the company cannot offer this for free.

I'm not into gsm card reseller dealership, but i want to say that the attitude of some persons in the country is very bad. For example @fm4real12k6, you said somebody or his service is a scam but refused to say when you did business with that person and you were not fulfilled. Please be sure of what you say cause you might be damaging others good intentions and that is not good.

The program is more like a reseller right for the company services. And like every reseller packages all over the world, the receiver is expected to make some upfront payment. So i don't see where the scam is or why the frown about it. Details on how to earn and what services to resell are spelt out in the document.
