Nigerian Governors' Forum

Some Nigerians have taken to social media to express shock over the recommendation by the Nigeria Governors’ Forum to place petrol price between N408.5 and N380 per litre.

The PUNch had earlier reported that the NGF in a virtual meeting, called for the immediate removal of fuel subsidy.

Reacting to this decision, Nigerians have taken to social media to lament on the impact of the fuel subsidy removal.

Samuel Chuks tweeted, “N380/litre for fuel. This is bad.”

A user with the handle @PastorBOJ expressed shock over the decision.

“I’m shocked by the fuel pump prices they recommended. This shows that people aren’t in their agenda!,” the user exclaimed.


Advising the government, Idris Tanda tweeted, “Reduce the cost of running the government. Reduce all the unnecessary allowances of political office holders and you will see things becoming right.”

Fourth wife stabs husband to death for impregnating new lover




Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 47-year-old woman, Olanshile Nasirudeen, for allegedly stabbing her husband, Jimoh Nasirudeen, to death for impregnating another woman.

The incident happened on Wednesday in Ijebu-Ode during an argument between the woman and her late husband.

Metro gathered that the suspect was the fourth wife of the deceased and worked in the same abattoir with him.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident in a statement on Thursday
