A military insider says the military is looking out for the Borno State Police Command to give up the blundering warrior to it for an itemized examination of the matter.

A Nigerian Army faculty, Sanni Mohammed, has been captured with two boxes containing around 2,000 rounds of 7.62mm ammo, those acquainted with the matter have disclosed to PREMIUM TIMES.

The officer, a spear corporal, was captured at the Borno Express park in Maiduguri on Monday by authorities of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) as he was going to board a transport to Nigeria's capital, Abuja.

NURTW authorities later gave the suspect to the police.

As indicated by our sources, the trooper, connected to 198 Special Forces Battalion, had quite recently been mitigated from obligations at Damasak town in Borno State, after as of late acquiring a wiped out report.

When grilled by the police, Mr Mohammed guaranteed he sourced the ammo from a stalled vehicle in his unit.
