I don't think anyone can be denied a scholarship because they do not have award or publications. Yes they might carry points during assessment but can't rule out ones chances.
Every of your credentials and qualifications will be given marks/points.
Example
Undergraduate degree : First class: 100, second class upper: 80, second class lower : 60

Masters Degree : Distinction :100, Merit: 80, Pass :60

Publications : 10 points for each (max of 5 pub)
Award: 10 points for each. (max of 2 awards)
Total :270 points.

So a person with 2nd class lower with merit in masters without publication and award will have a score of
60+80=140/270.

This is just an example and it depends on d criteria they are looking out for. It is called the factor rating method. At the end of the day, applicants with high score will be used along side federal character (very important) for selection.

I chose petroleum tax and finance thinking it was an accounting course on checking google now I discovered it's law related, it's actually an LLM ( I wan faint) and that is my first choice.

My second choice was oil and gas finance while my 3rd is supply chain mgt.

You should have the equivalent to a UK Honours degree, preferably at 2:1 level or above. Candidates with a 2:2 degree may also apply. Preferred degree disciplines are Law, Economics, Geology, Petroleum or Mining Engineering, Finance....this is from their website... So we are still on course.. I applied for petroleum taxation and finance, international oil and gas management, oil and gas finance or so...

We have MSc candidates with publication......and any kind of award is honoured...also wondering why they didn't ask for professional certificates and discharge

I am one of the PTDF Scholars in France, studying in one of the Grande ecoles . From my experience from the PTDF Scholarship. The fact that PTDF has recommended you implied that you have gotten the scholarship.

I will however clarified something for you people, it was not as if DAAD will be the one funding your scholarship, it is still the PTDF funding the scholarship, they are just trying to harmonise the scholarship for greater efficiency and also to reduce cost, without compromising on quality.

I was supposed to go to Germany, I missed out when we were asked to upload the document on DAAD website, because it was not properly coordinated during our own time, even though I got admission to TU Berlin. DAAD could not do anything again regarding my visa, that was the reason why I came to France in order not to waste another year.

So congratulation to all the shortlisted, if you are not been follow from the village, those that got the e mail are the successful one from the Germany point of view.

Those coming to France , I think will also be updated.

Hope getting shortlisted for this one won't affect my chances of getting shortlisted for others.... Germany universities didn't have any related course to my field of study... I just chose Germany because they said you have to pick each of the three countries.... I don't have the requirements for the course I chose...

please did you register in DAAD portals while applying for the scholarship? and did you see the course you applied for in the DAAD website? i registered in DAAD during the registration and i got the email to go and register. i don't know if i should register again or just ignore the mail.

I didn't register... And didn't see my course... You can't register again if you have already registered before

I think we’re really helping ourselves here! Having contacted PTDF Scholarship Help Desk: 08105…. On the website, he proved some of our assertions here are actually wrong.

He stated that the people sent mail today for DAAD Update are those who made Germany as one of their choices and who either didn’t complete their application on DAAD portal or have a missing document to update.

Therefore in case you initially registered but got the mail, you’ve something to do on that portal, but if you didn’t get the mail and Germany is one of your choices, then you completed the required registration. This statement is according to info from PTDF

Another person can try contacting them also to be sure.

I think somehow my experience will make all this assumptionists to calm down. ( please don't mind my English or the way I'll put it down).
When I first saw the FGC schorlaship advert, I decided to go through the courses that were available for selection in the application. After days of checking and rechecking, I found only two universities, one in China and the other in France which was my first choice. However as at the time of application I was still serving, so I uploaded my call-up letter instead of discharge certificate. Surprisingly I was the only one shortlisted among my friends, but my concern was when will the interview hold, I had few days left to finish my service. After updating my center, 6 days later I got a mail with details of my interview (2 days before my POP) I was so worried, and about 12hours later I got another mail from ptdf but with different interview details(this time around it was a day after my POP), I was very happy, we did our pop and I left for the interview the next day. Somehow I got to the venue late, infact I was the last person, they all seemed tired and ready to leave (it was on the last day... Friday.. 3pm), when I got there they asked why I was 25mins I late....i explained and they directed my to a register where I saw all the MSC (21) and those who applied under environmental/magement (5)...though I still don't know if that's the total number for the who interview or just for that day... I was then directed to a room, where I met three panelists....the first thing they asked me was to give them 5 copies of my SOP... I was puzzled, because no one told me to bring that much...i had only two with me....they asked why I didn't come with 5 since we were asked to bring that number, I told them I wasn't asked to bring 5 and showed them the mail, so they said I should quickly go and photocopy... I felt really bad (Cx I came late and was not able to produce 5 copies of my SOP)... But when I came back the story changed... I was asked of my statement of result, publication and awards... Still wondering why they didn't ask for my discharge... Then questions followed up... We discussed extensively with them, one of the panelists even asked if I had a proposal in mind, I said off course yes, we discussed about it and he went to his bag and brought out a project, he then assured me that I will sure get the schorlaship if I can right on that (which makes me think there is still another phase) ...
I then applied for the UK schorlaship and was duly shortlisted also... And today I got the OSS masters mail asking me to update my details on the DAAD website.....yes strong profiles work... But luck works more... I still can't understand why I was shortlisted for the Germany schorlaship, I still don't even know the requirements for the course I chose... Though I changed it on the DAAD site...
This doesn't completely make sense...lol... Yes I know... But it will surely help some people....

Don't mislead yourself. No one can say that SOP us not important. I can recall that on interview day, interviewers were recording our performances and sending directly to the PTDF HQ.

SOP's are important, I was asked to submit 5 copies during the interview... But the recording stuff, I'm not so such of it... Maybe I wasn't paying attention.

Please I have a question to those who chose center during application, did anyone of you get to choose your center? Did you get the center update mail?

Somehow I could log in both accounts to choose center, does that mean FG&C will also have another interview or exams?

Do we have guys who attended the ptdf 2018 germany/france/china scholarship interview and still got selected in UK application?
I guess candidates who got recommended for G/F/C scholarships might not be shortlisted for Uk to avoid other people chance.

I was shortlisted for both... I logged in and chose my exam center at about 7:30pm, however I tried logging in now and got the "you have not been shortlisted" pop-up, which I believe is a general thing... Please someone else should try logging in to confirm this...

After choosing my center, I was sent a mail to choose center an hour later.... Now I tried logging in again, but I'm getting "you have not been shortlisted for the ptdf schorlaship"....my friends also.... Who also has this issue?
