I'm not sure what you are describing, but the good practice of installing charge controller is to connect the battery first and solar thereafter.
As for Felicity CC, it has this quirk that I later discovered, if there is no solar, the CC sleeps off, no sign of life. You need to tap the button on it for it to come alive. Once you connect the battery, the voltage will be automatically identified. You can then go ahead and do the settings.

I think it's a new firmware on the their new devices(like energy saver).

So on your first connection of the battery the cc won't come on until you connect the solar cables,..after it dosnt detect supply from the pannel(say night)it goes off on its own.

Guys,please whom has used Felicity charge controller here,80amps.

Will it pick system voltage first and come on on battery before solar connection.

Or solar and battery must be present(battery first) before it can come on.

My AC is midea I got it from someone here..that machine mad..runs on as low as 170v ..My big baby of the house.

I got this fridge hoova Aclass almost 5years now,.takes a lil while to freez(freezer section is down and must freez first before cooling gets to fridge) if there is light for 24hrs the Frost lasts for 4 to 5days.no matter how low light is that frigde is running and freezing..I clamped it to find out it picks and runs on 130w..

Me and my friend has tried for years to get one for him but we couldn't get the lady that sold to me again..very silent operation(sometimes i will have to open the fridge to see the light on just to be sure it's actually on lol

Every great Engineer I know and has come across has lab(Engineering workshop).

They design and implement,then confirm the system is working to required efficiency by constantly testing and making adjustments in paper design and real one(model). Carry out maintenance and written documents on how to install and train the technicians on how to safely install because they have done it over and over.

You can't design disaster and tell another man to go and bring it to live because it's his job.

Or employ technicians to come and be working in your lab to bring ideas to live(prototype) because it's written somewhere that it's and engineers Jobs.

In yakee all Engineers and technicians get educated in class and lab and encouraged to carry on after graduation..In many situations technicians are even the ones that spot flaws in Engineering designs (materials,structure and calculations)..

If you can't afford Lithium batteries (they are expensive now), and you want a maintenance free lead acid battery, I recommend Fullriver. Buy from their main distributor here in Naija. Their name is idyllic and their office is in Oregun.

Last time I checked (early this year), their 200ah sells for about 140k per unit. I use 2 units of 160ah variants and they are serving. Got them for about 125k per unit late last year.

Quanta Amaron and Ritar are good brands too, but ensure you buy from the main distributors themselves.

I sell MPPT Solar Charge Controller as well, just in case u wanna go solar immediately.

When it comes to batteries buy from companies that has reputation to protect( and get your 1yrs warrantee). That fullriver I doubt if it's still in production probably recycled.
Ritar is ok but from Telco suppliers only. He should also try kartel they have wonderful products
