A close friend of mine working with Daily Champion newspaper here is Lagos told me yesterday that Ohakim
A very good client of theirs is owing them nothing less than 30million naira for what? for his campaign advert on the paper, now tell me if he loses where will he get the money to pay all these money, I think EFCC can answer this. this is the reason why he never wanted to step down,

other state governors that did well for their state was returned from Rivers-
Akwa ibiom - kaduna - lagos - kogi- Cross river- delta- enugu - abia name it all these states returned their gov. without hitches, Ohakim and his followers please ask yourself a simple question what have you done to deserve this mess, people dont want YOU AGIN please go and learn from Alao akala this is a politician that accept defeat and that is what democracy is all about, PLEASE LEARN,

I am going to reserve some wine for you from the celebration (I am serious, over here in the UK). Ohakim will win because he deserves a second term to complete all the good work he initiated. People are starting to realise that they better stick with the devil they know rather than the purported 'god sent' ROCHAS.[/quote]Here goes another internet Fraud star just like his Brother Ohakim, you are in the UK and you are bribing someone in nigeria with Wine of all things, well Mr nigeria who cannot afford wine start making up money to clear the cargo when it arrives, FOOLS,

cmon:
I used to be an anti Ohakim person until I met a pro Ohakim person about a week ago. The truth is: the only reason why I didn't like the ohakim was the way he speaks in public. Period!

Well this pro Ohakim person made me understand that being a leader is more that just the way the leader speaks. He rose some very good issues in support of the Ohakim administration and I well agreed with him. Here were his strong points;

1. The introduction of Keke Napep to put an end to the to Okada operations which cause lots of death and accidents.
2. The 10000 Jobs offer of which one of my cousins benefited.
3. The issue that the dredging of the Nworie river is an NDDC project and is not funded by the state govt.
4. The construction and upgrade of so many roads within Owerri (at least where I am - Yar' adua drive).
5. The massive construction of the out ring road and flyovers to de-congest traffic in Owerri
6. The traffic lighting and street lighting all over owerri.

I got curious on typing this message so I decided to check the official website of imo State government and what do you know, they have a good one with loads of information. From the website, I was able to gather the following information;
From what I can see on the imo state government official website,

Water schemes in all 27 LGAs
Free health care in government health centres in all 27 LGA (for pregnant women and children aged 1 -5)
Distribution of 27 Ambulances and lister Generators for operations in health centres for 27 LGAs
Loads of security pick-ups for security,

And some silent projects like
+ The construction of the New Government house office, which I see everyday on passing the area,
+ The procurement of transmitters and transmission vans for Orient FM, though I don't know why they're still not performing up to speed.
+ Facilitation of the Graceland housing scheme around FHE Egebeada (still wondering why people haven't moved in yet)
+ Rehabilitation and construction of classroom block all over the state.
+ The construction of an Ultra Modern Shopping Mall at Aladinma (Why this area is not bubbling with activities still baffles me tho)

Here's my assessment;

+ He's trying to develop the entire state at the same time, implementing projects for the 27 LGAs at the same time.
+ He has a good vision for the state.
+ He has tried.

I hear so many bad things about the man but really I was told they are all rumours.

So someone should tell me, why do people dislike this man so much and why should I not vote for him tomorrow?

Please note, I don't buy a campaign that says "FREE EDUCATION". It's not done anywhere in the world. It's impossible. Period!
All these you are seeing on the site was there to deceive foreigners and visitors they are not meant for the people of Imo state,
The man is an internet driven person so he does a lot of SCAM online,

If you say FREE EDUCATION is not possible then pay a visit to Lagos go to any of their primary and secondary ask them how much is their fee and wait for their responds, Even the Big beneficiary of this Free tuition fee in lagos are mostly of the Eastern part of nigeria with imo state inclusive,
so rest your comment if you dont have anything to say,

The report i heard this morning from a very reliable source was that as of yesterday,

the election result declared Rochas is leading having scored about 270 something thousand votes and his closes rival {the Evil man} has about 260 something thousand.

votes but Rochas is leading with more than 12 thousand votes, this is from Political Platform on Raypower a strong investigative journalist, so the conclusion was that it will be better if INEC can declare ROchas the winner and ask PDP to go to the court if they dont accept the result or declare a state of emergency after today,

   Here in nigeria we are far different from those foreign countries of which you mentioned earlier, those countries already has the basic infrastructures in place but here in nigeria you will see a governor leaving his office to commission a newly constructed TAP water project and a road network that is not up to 10 km, watch one of Ohakim's tape you will see what i am talking about, so when we see somebody willing to do more than these we are anxious to put him in position

gaskydudu:
all i see in nigerian politics is face value politics and not ideological politics,

if i ask what is the major difference between PDP and ACN/CPC/APGA, what would be the answerhuh
what most people (and sadly, most posters on nairaland ) would say is PDP is a rigging and looting party,

and i say, is that what makes APGA/CPC/ACN a viable option??

in the US, when a politician tells you he/she is a republican, i can predict  what his general views on certain issues are, likewise a democrat,
even in GBR, i can tell you the difference btw a conservative and a labour party candidate. but here in nigeria all we are interested in is pouring invectives,
nobody is ready to take a meaningfull position on "bread and butter" issues,

all what we hear is light , roads, water, (the same worn out shibboleth used by generations before us)
i pray a time would come when our parties would have their ideological values, only then would political whoring stop and then people can choose party affiliation based on issues and not on religion/ethnicity

well, the difference btw PDP and ACN is that ACN are known for offering free education pay student fees for WAEC and NECO, also known for transformation of a state Just as it is in Lagos, PDP has been there 12yrs ago and ACN is not more than four years. In lagos fashola won not because he is in ACN but cause of his exemplary performance in his first four years, In Imo state change is needed Very urgent cause PDP is .about to ruin the state

Franklin Mathias returning officer of Mba itolu in imo state, it seems the result went the way of ROCHAS and Ohakim is trying to play game with it, as i heard just now Owerri is about to witness Post Election Violence and their choice candidate is being denied of his victory, Tears are running out of my eyes now as this my own dear state, OMGA

@i just spoke with someone in Owerri and he said the results haven't been officially announced.WTF is happening here, the people there in imo state are calling me in lagos asking me to tell them the result of their own local government, wen a state where the governor has seized the right of all the media houses what do you expect, the people are blind folded.
