Alterboi: So I applied for the laptop grant last week and now this week I received a message that my application was successful and I should proceed to pay the 5000 naira processing fee..I just want to know how true is this and has anybody received such offer before?
It's very saddening this is happening in my own very eyes when I have actually witnessed a better Nigeria. Government officials are no longer checked. The true joy in democracy is gone as their is no longer check and balance. Tinubu killed it.
Ibrahimado: Please I want to be straight to the point, My woman that we got married late last year, no children yet was just accuse of stealing in her place of work. And the evidence is very clear that she committed the crime. But she has deny it vehemently. But all evidence points that she did it. They did not disgrace her but silently told her to leave the work. She has be a supportive wife right from when we where dating. I did not see stealing during our courtship/dating. Last week, I had conversations with her boss and her boss open everything/story for me, it break my heart that her name is associated with stealing and just that last week, when she came to my place of work, I gave her 50k for her up keeping. And I do send her 10k weekly feeding, we don't stay in same place. She stay in Benin why I work in lagos. She stay alone. She is a very fervent Christian and it is hurting me since a week now, that my woman can be accuse of stealing. I don't steal and it is against my principle. She don't lack in that place of her work. I have not informed my family and her family. Because I don't want her to lose the respect they accord her. It is breaking me since a week now. What should I do my fellow people, I will be glad with all your inputs. I'm a nairaland of over 13 years. Moreover, she has not steal from me and she don't ask too much money from me, she is always a contented person. She don't spend outrageously like me, no extra expenses/bill on her from her side or my side. Still I'm hearing all this thing from the first time. She is even her church treasurer for over 6years and her pastor has been calling me and telling me that she can't do it but I'm confused because the evidence is very glance in my eye from her boss narrative.
so you wanted to report your family and her family that your wife stole? Are you sure you are not the one reporting her up and down that she stole? you don't sound like a prepared married man am sorry to say. In as much as stealing is a very bad thing no one should be associated with but you need to be tactical and check out he fact. From your write-up since she denied it which women are used to doing anyways just be objective and understand that later in Ur marriage you will still need to beg her too because you are going to offend her by cheating or something else. She's your wife scold her and stop being a reporting agent oga
Kingzjayzee: President Bola Tinubu has ordered the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, to review the treasonable felony charges brought against some underage and malnourished children before the Federal High Court in Abuja, which has attracted national and global outrage.
SaharaReporters learnt from sources that Tinubu on Friday ordered the AGF to review the cases and make recommendations accordingly after the Nigerian presidency came under scrutiny for maltreating underage children accused of bogus charges for participating in the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests in August.
SaharaReporters earlier reported that the court presided over by Justice Obiora Egwuatu, granted stringent bail to over 70 persons including minors for their alleged roles in the protests.
Five minors out of the 76 defendants meant to be arraigned on Friday, however, slumped inside the courtroom and were rushed to the hospital.
The minors have been taken back to Kuje Prison following difficulties in meeting their bail conditions.
The court granted each of the defendants N10 million bail among other stringent terms.
However, one of the counsels for the protesters, Deji Adeyanju, lamented that the stringent bail conditions imposed by the court on the protesters who have been in custody since August, meant they had to be taken back to prison custody.
Human rights and advocacy groups across the country have accused President Bola Tinubu of running a cruel, heinous and punitive government.
The groups said this in separate statements issued on Friday while condemning the continued detention and prosecution of #EndBadGovernance protesters.
The groups demanded the unconditional release of all detained protesters, especially minors; immediate suspension of all exorbitant bail conditions granted to the protesters; transparent investigation into the maltreatment of underage detainees, including starvation, physical abuse, and psychological trauma at IRT and other detention centers, and an end to the criminalisation of protests and dissent voices in the country.
One of the statements was jointly signed by Comrade Gerald O Katchy of the National Secretary Committee for the Defence of Human Rights; Omole Ibukun of the Creative Change Centre; Salako Kayode of the Revolutionary Socialist Movement; Hauwa Mustapha of the ASVAB and Comrade Destiny Destiny of the Civil Rights Council.
Others are Agena Robert Ande of Take it Back Movement; Maxwell Adeyemi of the Socialist Labour; Adekunle Gbolahan of the Democratic Socialist Movement and Youth Rights Campaign, and Chinedu Chinedu of the Movement for African Emancipation.
The groups said the arraignment of the protesters before Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja exposes the gross and tone-deaf indifference of all arms of the Nigerian government to justice and the well-being of Nigerians.

Afonja44: -Capture one of the arsonists. -Have him confess to his crimes. -Have him name Wike as his contractor. -Petition the IGP to arrest and produce Wike. -If IGP refuses, proceed to court. -Name IGP as a co-conspirator (since he deliberately withdrew the Police in Rivers on no court order which is against the law) -Rope Tinubu into the mess as his appointees are accused criminals. -Grant a BBC or international interview on the political state of Rivers -Highlight the case and its actors in the interview -Relax
If nothing is done and the violence continues then it will be Wike, IGP and Tinubu behind it until they show up in court to clear their names. This means any declaration of State of Emergency in Rivers will be impossible since the IGP himself is complicit.
You refused to police the state, what did you expect? There's no law stopping the Police from performing their duties in Rivers state as we speak.
Help them publicize their own destruction.
Yahaya Bello vs Dino Melaye script...that's the best, the Wike guy will avoid rivers at all cost
Kosiso12: BREAKING: Pro-Wike Loyalists Make Fresh Move to Stop Rivers LG Poll, Embark on Protest | #Politicsnigeria
Loyalists of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, have taken to the streets to protest Governor Siminialayi Fubara’s decision to proceed with the local government elections in Rivers State, defying a Federal High Court judgment that cancelled the polls.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the protesters comprised chieftains and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
They demanded that Governor Fubara obey the court’s decision, citing concerns over the legitimacy of the electoral process.
In a similar move, hundreds of All Progressives Congress (APC) members gathered at the party’s secretariat in Port Harcourt, preparing to embark on a protest of their own.
It should be noted that the police on Friday announced its decision not to partake in the election.
Noblechykk: It doesn't imply you understand the meaning of stupidity simply because you can spell it correctly. If you do, you would have realized how stupid you sounded.
