My ex Landlord, before I moved in, there were a few finishings to do in the house, but after I paid, I became a noise maker for 1 full year cos the man refused to fix any of those things, after I complained for a few months, I simply stopped, as he wasn't answering me anymore, but before then, I dropped him a message saying the exact way he treated me is the exact way I will treat him when the time comes.

After 1 year, he came and sent me renewal papers, I simply replied him not to send me any renewal papers until he fixes every single thing in the house. He didn't respond for a month, then came back saying he will give me quit notice, I just called my lawyer friend and told him to write me a letter to the landlord with his chambers letterhead, and I was seriously willing to go to court, I forwarded it to the landlord, next week, I was receiving calls from different artisans asking about my availability so they can come and fix all the things he was meant to fix.

That was how we settled.

You see ehn..we have a defeated mentality. I'm disappointed and surprised by the level of cowardice shown on this thread..

We deserve the kind of leaders we have..
