God will always fulfil His promises,He would never say anything and not do. But God's word can't be fulfilled in your life if you don't work and pray for it- you also have to obey God's commandments. God also promised Moses that he would lead His people to the promised land but because Moses got angry and disobeyed God, he did not see the promised land. You not passing jamb doesn't mean God is a liar and He will never be. The reason you didn't do well is because you did not play your part well by praying,reading, obeying God's commands. Maybe you did all these but you had doubt or you were afraid. Remember if you have faith like a mustard seed you can move a mountain. Never blame God for your mistakes.

did my jamb i prayed i fasted no vision but i was positive. cause i know i was ready. for the exam i reed my books i went online downloaded as many as i can i even went to buy test books and by the grace of God went to the exam with out fear...(fear can make you lose your Divine position)

and I passed my course aint very competitive i wanna be a computer scientist but i no not maths so i put Urban and planning i can also go to good computer training for programing cause i love computers..............as an Urban and planning aspirant doesn't mean i cant be a programmer or a computer guru

i was sick for 6 years with out to specific cause my eyes are very blurry when i did my first jamb i was breathing heavily i got 177 on my first jamb ....
am always praying even crying but the sickness is going little by little by it self and am thankful

Is that right? Words of encouragement? I never knew. Remember the bible say in Ezekiel 13:3? hope you know you're saying some men of God are blunt face liars! Again, many men of God are blunt face liars!!!.

No doubt! But if the guy in question had come out praising God that he didn't read for JAMB yet he passed it would you have said what you're saying now.

Is that right? I'm curious how you came about this point of yours. Hope it's not because the dream didn't come to pass?

Rather than pray to God for retentive memory, why not encourage him to read and study harder? We all know the christian God is kinda dormant, nowadays.

If the point above is a lie, why hasn't God answered our prayers for this country to be great.

it is obvious that you were doing those things not because you loved God, but because you wanted something from him. A while back, when I had issues in my JAMB and all hope was lost, I knew I could fall back on Him.
I told God that whether I failed or not, I still love Him, and I kept being faithful in church (as if nothing happened). I went to church 8 times in a week, did not withdraw from the Music Unit where I served, and just left the failure and focused on Him.
Lo and behold, when the result came, I scored 288.
Just stop doing the sweeping work and reading the Bible if the deep-seated reason why you are doing those acts of "service" is to ultimately gain admission. If you are true to yourself, you know once God gives you admission, you will stop doing those things for Him.
Secondly, one thing I see in many Christians is neglecting their own part of the bargain (in this case, studying your books). The Bible said we should study to show ourselves approved. I am almost certain that you relaxed and reduced, if not stopped reading when the pastor said you would gain admission this year.
Thirdly, I see elements of doubt in your statements, you have not seen the cut off for this year, and you are already writing yourself off. A close person to be scored 180 and applied for Civil Engineering in a Federal University, and she still gained admission for the course. There are so many things I have seen wrong in your mindset also, which is testament to your level in the faith and the church you attend, cos it seems they have been feeding you with milk, or lies and superstitions that are not founded in the word of God, but I digress.
Lastly, that pastor of yours, from all indications, you depend on him more than you depend on God. I am not saying he is fake, but take a step back and focus on your relationship with God, and pray for guidance as to what pastor or church to attend, there are so many merchants in pastors' skin, who depend on wits to keep relevance.
To summarise this my long epistle, Pray to God, and even if you don't gain admission this year (which I believe you will), try again next year, and see if you can also change your institution and course of choice. Tag me when you gain admission.

Some prophecies from men of God are mere words of encouragement. If you claim it, you must also work for it to make it come true.

Faith without work is nothing, instead of sitting down to read your book you were busy moving directionlessly in search of what you were not assured.

The dream you had was you speaking to yourself while you were asleep, it's neither from God nor spiritual.

You can only pray God to give you retentive memory and then take some available steps out there that helps one to develop a retentive memory. That's faith + work in action.

Want some free advice. Stay away from churches and read your books thoroughly. I guarantee you'll come back and share testimonies.

I also passed thru the same situation like you. Last year while I was denied admission at university of ibadan even after I met kumuyi one on one he prayed for me but I still lost out and my faith in God was dashed.

But I have a clearer view and understanding now.
It's the devil battling to test your faith.

See, God exist in everybody, God just likes working in mysterious ways, just to prove to us that he is God.
I also don't believe in prophecies, ahhhh, I got series of heartbreaks then when I was in your shoes. I simply poured my heart out to God in prayer then, and I told him what I will do in return if he could help me out, God did help me, and I had to play my part of the deal also, things worked out.
So, make your methods flexible, don't look at university alone, you will do better in these I.T firms, and you could run other part-time programs when you have money.
Really, you have a phone, you eat daily, you have loved ones, while some people are having it worse somewhere and still believe in God, so please just pour your heart deeply to him in prayers.
At times when God delays us we think he doesn't want the best for us, but he has a better plan for us, we only end up realizing at the end of the victory.

Chairman, nothing can be wrong with God but something is wrong with you. All I know is that God cannot drop His standard because of you.
Think deep and check your life if there are loopholes. Don't waste your time holding bitterness against God you don't have a relationship with.
Also check is you really want to go to school or you want to learn tailoring, Shoemaking, barbing, etc. Don't blame and mock God for the mistakes of your life.

1. You're apparently still young in the faith
2. You don't work towards fulfilling prophecies. Let prophecies come true by itself
3. You shouldn't have depended on prophecies alone without reading.
4. It may take years, even decades, to actualize.

oh God's prophecy will come true....but you first failed God, you were giving him a test i.e to make u pass ur exams, remember the word of God which says YOU SHOULD NOT TEST THE LORD UR GOD. When you are ready to study only then will God's prophecy come tru. IF at all there was a prophecy in d first place

OP, the way God works is kind of difficult for man to understand, I feel your pain, been there, passed through a tougher route (in fact your own still good).
University degree is not the only way to be great, seriously registering for computer courses in these IT companies will make you a better programmer than a computer science graduate, in most cases.
Do other programs, and you will see that God will bless your hard work.
