It is going to be an exercise in futility. There are limitation to what the court can do as regards this matter because the election of principal officers of the National Assembly is an internal arrangement amongst members. Infact the Ahmad Lawan group should not even contemplate impeaching the speaker because they will require the signatures of atleast 2/3 majority of the total number of the senators which is not only difficult but practically impossible. |
