At Nigeria took delivery of COVID-19 vaccines made in India. What does that say of Nigeria’s health sector and capacity to play in global health platforms? If India, which used to be at the same level as Nigeria could put its act together to produce vaccines in a few months, why not Nigeria?

India has been developing and manufacturing pharmaceutical products since last 4 decades.

Competency lies in capabilities not audio equivalence .

India is the largest provider of generic drugs globally. Indian pharmaceutical sector supplies over 50% of global demand for various vaccines, 40% of generic demand in the US and 25% of all medicine in the UK. Over 80% of the antiretroviral drugs used globally to combat AIDS are supplied by Indian pharmaceutical firms.

The Indian biotechnology industry was valued at US$ 64 billion in 2019 and is expected to reach US$ 150 billion by 2025.

Mumu leaders and their lackeys keep harping on naija audio capabilities instead of working on it.

Indian companies have developed not 1 not 2 but 7 vaccines for covid , how many have Nigerian companies developed ? Zero.

Why ? Because instead of serious work we keep harping on audio equivalence , best to admit ones incompetence and then move on to develop the capabilities.
