I am convinced that for us to have a shot at defeating Tinubu in 2027, Peter Obi must run solo. I don't know if I'm the only one seeing it this way, but here's my breakdown:

The entire North is fed up with Tinubu's government. When I hear his supporters claim he has made inroads in North Central, I wonder if they are living in a different world. Are the people been killed in Jos, Benue, Niger, etc., really going to queue up to vote for him?
The Arewa parts of North East and North West have abandoned him, and that's where Obi comes in.

Tinubu won't get even half the northern votes he got in 2023. With his northern votes shifting to Atiku, all Obi needs to do is maintain his southern base and split southern votes with Tinubu. That would hand Atiku the presidency on a platter.

On the other side,
If the coalition of ADC stands,
If Atiku wins the ADC primaries, APC will campaign on the "turn of the South" narrative, the south will not vote Atiku even if he choose Obi as running mate. He will promise northern elites heaven on earth to go against Atiku with a promise of 2031.

Then, If Obi or Amecah wins ADC primaries, it will be even easier for APC, they will just tell northerners that the South will rule for 12 years straight, something the North doesn't want to hear.

For me, Obi running solo in a 3 horse race will give Atiku the presidency if he is able to rally the northerners behind him. What do you think?
