Well, since I wasn't understanding them, I turned on my recorder to capture some of the things they were saying, so that I can ask the young lady with me to explain what the other customers were saying.

The whole conversation now urges me to ask does Tinubu really have any base at all? Imagine his own brothers and sisters speaking ill about him in just One year of his administration 😂.

They were even talking about voting for Peter Obi aggressively in the next election and I'm like, what about those de-marketing Peter Obi. Are they this bad in their job?😂

They have right to amend any law but it must be in tandem with the constitution. Any law that is at variance with the constitution is null an void.. Mind you, it's Nigeria Constitution that created the LGA, not any House of Assembly Law. The Assembly members swear an oath to uphold the constitution of the FRN

I said that, if their amendments is not consistent with the provisions of the federal constitution of Nigeria on a particular matter, the provisions of the federal constitution of Nigeria will be superior and such state amended laws will be subjected to the Lagoon treatment.

State House of Assembly members doesn't have such power to amend Nigeria national constitution and any state constitution that is not in consonance with the national constitution will be considered bad abinito..... i.e. bad from beginning to the end.

Any law that is inconsistent with the constitution, the constitution takes prominence. In Nigeria Constitution, it's well spelt out that the tenor of local government Chairman/counselor is 3 years. House of Assembly has no rights to extend their tenor. One day another house of Assembly, say Kano will extend the tenor of their governor without the National Assembly amending the constitution.
