I have been reading this narrative of people saying that they are not supporting Peter Obi because of his supporters who are mostly insultiive and intolerant of

The question is this: who has Peter Obi himself insulted?
Are you voting for Peter Obi to repair the damage done to the economy, the security, the health and psyche of our dear nation or are you voting for his supporters?
A lot of people insulted former president Goodluck Jonathan during his tenure. Did you back out from voting his opponent former Muhammadu Buhari because of his saucy supporters?
Would you rather allow a quack surgeon operate on you because you hate the relatives of the competent surgeon?

Sen. Adams Oshiomole and his loyalists have been protesting against the return of the impeached Philip Shaibu. Anti-Oshiomole forces, which include a "Pastor" and others, are seriously pushing return of Shaibu to the Party. The aim of the anti-Oshiomole forces is to use Shaibu to undermine Oshiomole in Edo North, especially Etsako West LGA where both men hail from. They want to render Oshiomole politically irrelevant.

Oshiomole's supporters have declared showdown, they are already pledging support to the ambition of Dr. Asue Ighodalo. They already have grievances against the APC candidate, who have shown zero concern towards their welfare. Moreover, Oshiomole and his loyalists hold the view that Shaibu was the reason for the rift with Governor Godwin Obaseki. They also have good relationship with Dr. Asue Ighodalo - oops everybody have good relationship with Asue.

As at today, the Binis and residents of Edo South and the Esans are already for Dr. Asue Ighodalo. The only area that APC had hope of securing votes is the Afemai and Akoko Edo area of Edo North. Akoko Edo is already gone to Asue Ighodalo and PDP, Afemai is largely dominated by Adams Oshiomole's loyalists - and they are going to Asue Ighodalo.

I pity the Senator, he literally has no pathway to victory, but I am absolutely happy for Edo people, for the man they want and desire is already projected to assume leadership of their lovely state.
